I do agree with some of the sentiment on the comment section on the blog that legacy PS+ members got shafted last week with the "Ultimate" deals. Kind of a screw job from their perspective.
Holy crap, I wish I had started downloading these before I headed to work this morning.
DLC blows, I bash MS for it, I'll bash Sony for it. Only difference is that Sony still spends cash on actual exclusive games.
I don't think Sony is going to have any "OMG" moments, but I fully expect a start to finish, solid showing. Between new Vita games, new PS3 game footage, PS+ announcements and maybe even a Move segment, there won't be much time for filler.
At worse, I think we'll have a very solid performance from Sony, a quality start if you will, for those baseball fans out there.
At best, Sony announces $199 PS3, $350 PS3/Vita bundle, Last Guardian ...
Jeez, you know I didn't give much thought to that article I saw the other day about it feeling like "torture porn", but christ, but it was like five minutes of Lara getting her ass kicked and thrown off and into shit. I know Drake gets his ass beat a ton, but it has more a comedic feel to it, but here I was grimacing at the abuse.
I don't see that happening, any positive press they'd get for new features would be engulfed with the negative press they'd get for making previously "free" services (obviously you need a scrip to each service) something you'd have to pay for to access via PSN.
Yeah, as easy as it would be to say that MS is preventing Spike from giving Sony any press, if that was the case why would they allow GTTV to hype Sony exclusive debuts on their network?
Glad to see it won't be a direct port of ACIII, but hopefully it will feel like more than just a re-skinned version of it and have some unique elements to it beyond just a different character.
Haha, the Star Wars parody poster is hilarious.
I wouldn't have had so much of a problem with his opinions if they didn't all feel so at odds with each other. I could respect him wanting something new or exciting hardware or accessory wise, but only without him saying something as stupid as "new games aren't killer apps anymore".
Or that the Wii is part of the argument (along with mobile games) that all people want are time killing mindless fun games, but at the same time pointing at his Wii-owning fr...
The main difference is that the HD collections started to come in the second half of the PS3 and the 360's lifespans, here you have a new console with HD collections as launch titles.
Ya know, that's interesting, I wonder if the next PS3 price cut will coincide with another slim-down. You think they could get a PS3 down to Wii-size yet? Or maybe just a little bigger than a Wii?
I don't think its that crazy, Sony has released a bunch of HD remakes that people have wanted.
At the end of the day, I suppose it would've been better if Sony had just trickled out games instead of releasing so many at launch since the barren following months gave the illusion that there were no games.
Plus, at least for me, the biggest plus in having console experiences or "gasp", ports of certain games on my Vita is that I can play these games anywhere. I don't have much time to sit in front of my PS3, but thanks to my Vita I can MLB the Show dur...
Lol, you can disagree, but go google it. Its true.
The five dollar discount is mainly Sony's first party games.
This isn't some sort of "omg, IGN gave this game a bad review" price drop, its a "whoops, we're supposed to be giving a five dollar discount on digital copies of the game" mistake.
I want to get this, but since I am not much of a MP guy, I'll prob wait to snag it a bit cheaper since the SP is apparently only around six hours.
Still too early for 100% cloud based gaming. Although I'm sure if Sony did do this, all of the analysts and people who claim that cloud gaming is the future would suddenly be against it 100 percent.
That's just Sony's way. I've only been watching these conferences for a few years, but Sony seems to always announce games in advance of the show. If they had held off on announcing Royale, GoW and Last of Us til yesterday, would it have been more exciting? I suppose so, but at the end of the day, regardless when they were announced, we have three more great exclusives headed our way, so nothing changes from that point of view.
