They've done nothing but show the same game, with psuedo-celebrities, in controlled environments. Sony friggin toured the Move technology across the country and for better or worse let REGULAR PEOPLE have the opportunity to blog and talk to their friends about it. Does MS even acknowledge the existence of people who don't have mid to high six figure salaries?
Could MS blow away the Move with an incredible presentation at E3 with games that Nintendo and Sony could o...
The Wii is a novelty item, it really is a toy. I understand that, yes, there are hardcore games on the system like Galaxy 1/2, Metroid, Mad World etc, but, in a way Nintendo kind of screwed themselves. They accomplished their goal of getting Grandma and Grandpa to buy their system, but at the end of the day, do Grams and Gramps really have any interest in any games besides the bundled Wii Sports?

what bothers me is that the 2004 madden was actually pretty awesome. then it just kept getting worse. even that guy on youtube who posts the 2k5 vs madden videos admitted that the 2004 madden was awesome and yet somehow EA sports screwed up a decent formula.
Honestly, even if the gameplay redefined the football game genre, the lack of NFL teams/players would have killed it anyway. Hell, as a kid, playing as Player 99 with the Bulls was miserably disappointing.
How I hate you, yet I love you. I think that's how every gamer feels. It used to be tough to describe how I feel about Madden, but thanks to BP I finally have a metaphor. Every August when I buy the newest Madden I feel like I do now when I buy BP gas because its conveniently located two blocks away from my house...and always 10 cents cheaper than Mobil.

apparently the motorstorm series is an example of 4-d at work. according to this website, it has to do with things in a game degrading as time passes on. i guess the way the motorstorm tracks change as you continue to lap around them is an example of it.

i have always seemed pretty susceptible to lucid dreams
that the PS2 has sold double the Wii and I don't think there's any doubt that Nintendo support for the Wii will die in at least the next year or two? Can the Wii, now sell another 70 million units? Wouldn't you say that Sony HAS paid attention to the casual gamer with their continued support of the PS2 at the low low price of $99? Games like SingStar, Buzz! and all of those ridiculous Rock Band games are still released for the PS2.
Outside of the elderly peopl...
You're right, all along I was misguided. Here I thought a system that was reliable, quiet, had the newest storage technology and some of the greatest games this generation was a better choice than the one that constantly dies, gives off sounds that make me think i'm about to see a "Lost" flashback scene and tries to justify paying 50 bucks a year for an online service for things like Facebook/Twitter/Netflix was the wrong one. I guess you've shown me the light.
The PS2 continues to sell (I believe a week or two ago there was article about it already selling another million units this year?) thanks to its incredible game library that is filled with a variety of different genres. The PS2 graphically was the weakest last gen, but its strength was due in part to its library. Now the PS3 has come along and has proven that it can produce the best looking games when the right people are using it. Mix that with an unparalleled list of games offering vari...
Mr. (Galbraith), what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Would've been great to have Insomniac as a first party studio but I believe I remember hearing that they enjoyed having their freedom
anything under a 90 was a flop
Resistance FoM: 86
Resistance 2: 87
Ratchet/Clank ToD:89
Ratchet/Clank CiT:87

They might not have had a knockout AAA punch like an Uncharted 2, but the fact that they've put out four borderline AAA games this generation already is highly impressive.
How would any three of those studios go multi if Sony already owns them?
Ratchet and Clank properties still belong to Sony, as do Resistance.
Anyway, hopefully they just do what Epic games has done and continue to make their exclusives while also releasing multiplatform games. I'd hate to see R/C or Resistance being carried on by a different developer
to see Sony showing some humility this generation and admitting that going into 2006 that they were a little cocky and getting a little fat. i can't think of any other company that would say those types of things. normally a company can always find a way to spin really bad news (losing money) into "hey its not that bad we're fine".
Sony is kind of like a well run high revenue sports team, they can still spend money when they want to, but they have also i...
you don't hear anyone saying, "oh look, halo got a great score from white guys!"
did they add it to their list yet?
anyone kind of think its funny that he says that everyone eats food through straws now, but they have a platter of pastries sitting next to him at the end of the commercial?
If you're gonna disagree, you might as well give an opposing argument.
