I think the main issue for Nintendo as compared to what Sony went through with the PS3 is that Nintendo is still heavily struggling with third party support. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even Madden 25 isn't going to be on the WiiU as of now and EA Sports is always willing to port Madden to anything. Despite losing third party exclusivity, Sony still at least had prevalent third party software on the PS3.

I don't dislike Nintendo in anyway, its always fun to play...

How does a site like this even get approved? This looks like a 12 year old's first blog.

I still have an original Phat 60 GB (well now its 750GB) PS3 and the damn thing is so sexy, I can't imagine ever trading it in towards the purchase of a PS4. BC issue solved.

Remind me again what first party studios Microsoft has again?

There's no doubt that Sony has completely botched marketing this generation, it started from the beginning and outside of KB (who really mostly appealed to hardcore gamers who knew about these games in the first place), Sony has been underwhelming to say the least in the marketing department.

While they would never say it, I think there's little doubt that Sony has moved on from this gene...

Feels more like Matt Stafford is on the cover of Madden. He's such a loser, I hate Stafford! Throw to your best WR and not crappy Nate Burleson. The Vikings do all they can to get the ball in Percy Harvin's hands while the Lions are content to use Megatron as a decoy for the first 40 minutes of games before finally saying "hey we need to score points" and start throwing to him.

Sure, the Vita may be around for ten years, but we'll be lucky to get enough games to cover half that time if Sony's recent "build a system and then wander off" approach holds true.

Uh what? PSone was supported nearly 11 years, PS2 continues to be supported and the PS3 is still their flagship console seven years in. Sony continues to support the PSP and to the point where they're hurting the Vita in Japan by having the same game ...

Still lovin my phatty. May pick up an original slim if stores start to discount heavily. Something about the new slim doesn't do it for me, although I do appreciate that its form is a mini version of the Phat, as opposed to the original slim.

As has been pointed out by many outlets, the strength of the yen versus the dollar is killing Sony's pricing strategies.

Its the Vita review. The Vita version is basically Madden 12.

Last I heard, Scottie was broke, so I'm surprised he even had to be talked into it.

Ya figured this was pretty common knowledge. It works with some PSP games that aren't officially in the Vita PSN Store yet too, most notably Peace Walker. Put FF9 on my Vita last night :)

DualShock could use some tweaks like curving the triggers in and concave sticks, but its layout is classic and stood the test of three consoles for a reason.

Sony's problem is never going to be quality or innovative games, its always going to be marketing and management. Everyone knows the marketing for Halo 4 will be out of this world and you will see Master Chief's face on everything from Big Gulps to Doritos to Tampons. Sony financially just can't keep up with MS' dollars and Nintendo will always have their charming and cute advertising and nostalgia value to fall back on.

Sony's biggest challenge with the V...

The idea of Cross Buy was something everyone wanted to have present on the Vita. Now its a negative.

One of the common complaints about Sony is how disjointed everything is. What you bought on Product A doesn't work on Product B and such.

The media complains that the people want an Apple type ecosystem. This is a step towards Sony doing it, even if it is just with first party games.

If Apple released a console and said that the games y...

Hard to believe that the media can even find a way to spin negatives about cross buy. Yeah, right now only a fraction of PS3 owners have a Vita, but CHRIST, the cross buy is an additional incentive to get a Vita since you can get "free" games for it when you buy the title for PS3.

If Sony was trying to double dip on sales, everyone would be going nuts that they are screwing over the consumer. They're doing the opposite and people complain that it only benefits ...
