I think a lot of the anti-Sony bias was the result of Sony's bluster and apparent arrogance entering this generation. Between Ken going off the rails at times, Sony's last minute introduction of the Sixaxis motion in the wake of the Wii and removing rumble, the gaming community had a lot to grumble about in regards to Sony.

I'll say this, the reason why I chose a PS3 over a 360 in 2006 was because I had trust in the Sony brand thanks to the two previous generations. Only one of my friends had the original XBox and outside of Halo, the thing was barely touched by him. Then MS dropped it like a bad habit and moved on while Sony continued to support PS2.

Well it did for one month at least, lol. It is shocking at how well it is selling considering that everyone knows the Vita is coming while there is a brand new 3DS on the shelves.
Eh, the reason why Nintendo has remained in the hearts and minds of people so long is because characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Zelda, Kirby, DK, etc, are timeless characters. They're as relevant today as they were 20 years ago and they will continue to be for the next 20 years and beyond.
I love the new IPs that Sony has been pumping out this generation and last generation, but Drake, Helghasts, Cole, Hale, etc all have limited shelf life. The exception of course ...

DUDE, Killzone 3 hasn't been on the shelves as long as Killzone 2! Its already common knowledge that PS3 exclusives tend to have long legs in terms of sales, give K3 the same time period of availability as K2 and sales will at the very least equal out.
I doubt its true. There has been articles talking about how Sony feels it botched the PSP launch by turning its focus the PS3 launch so soon after. Why would they want to repeat history? I think the PS3 can handle being Sony's only home console out there through the holiday 2012.

Haha, this is all so unbelievable. Its not like you had to sit down in front of your TV and watch the download from start to finish. All you had to do was start the download and at least claim the games. Then you could've downloaded them whenever you wanted.

True, but that didn't stop someone from writing that article about how Bulletstorm didn't sell well on the PS3. When it was remarked that it launched alongside Killzone 3, everyone said, "well a lot of time has passed, PS3 owners couldn't buy Bulletstorm after they were done with K3?".

Well the reason was that incorporating the ability to emulate PS2 games into the PS3 was making the PS3 rather expensive and cutting that out helped Sony lower the price and get the big black box into more homes. If you have PS2 games, I'm assuming you had a PS2 in the first place, so just use your PS2. If you need a BC PS3 that badly though, just head to eBay.
Gonna be tough to, you know, keep that PSP around. After all, you're gonna miss out on like 20 bucks from Gamestop to trade it in.
