I don't understand all this complaining. Back in the Nintendo days the games cost even more. But now, when the developing costs are much higher than before, games are suddenly too expensive?
Where I live 35$ (200 NOK) is the usual price for a pizza (for two), games cost around 100$ (550 NOK) and I'm not complaining.
That wasn't news.
The reason I prefer consoles for gaming is mostly because they have a better variety of high budget games. I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600 - Played a ton of first person shooters, beginning with Wolfenstein 3D, and grown long tired of that particular genre, World War II games and war games in general.
It's the consoles that get all the platformers, all the 1v1 fighters, all the JRPGs, all the Uncharteds, all the games which elude classification and all the cheap but grea...
After reading the first comment I understand why developers prefer console over PC. PC gamers apparently expect more for less money. How is this a good deal for developers? The only thing that makes sense to a business is that you get more when paying more.
A good HDTV will upscale the PS2 image perfectly - it'll look as if it was shown on SDTV. Cheap (or old) HDTVs mostly have crappy upscalers.
I hope it will be different. It was easily exploitable and almost always ended up with the host kicking the players before him in the queue because he didn't want to wait. The ranking system in SC4 was much better imo.
The non-ranked games was still like in T5:DR thought, and it has to be to be able to play with friends.
Trine was released 17. september on PSN in Norway, and I'm sure in some other countries too. If you can't wait it's just a matter of creating another new PSN account and download it.

Synced to the official version at the Japanese ff13 website.
Surely this means the ps3 is doomed?
“It’s not cool to own one”?
That's not true for where I live at least.
The Japanese don't understand english? This makes me a bit sad. Don't they have english in school like everyone else?
It could be, but I hope not. I want only the logo and "Final Fantasy XIII" on a white background like all others.
Of course there will be a monthly fee. It costs alot of money to continually expand an MMO of this scale. Just stop with the totally unrealistic wishful thinking.
Being susceptible to addiction is a personal trait. It's really no problem to play WoW in a healthy manner, just like it's possible to drink alcohol without becoming a alcoholic.
Percentages doesn't work like that SiLeNt KNighT =)
1000% x (100% - 44%) = 560%
It's exclusive in Japan.
I agree that Soul Calibur 4 is very spamfriendly at lower levels of skill, and even at mid level it's still more friendly than most fighters I know of. But at some point you finally get to the level where you can beat "good" spammers consistently.
Using myself as an example, I think I got to that level after about 1000 games or so. I'm probably not the fastest learner, but I agree that it shouldn't take so long for anyone to be able to beat clueless spammers consisten...
You might wanna try SC4 online. It's very hard to be "lame" in that game. I've seen many attempts, and they might work the first few rounds, but not for long.
Also, I don't believe in anything being lame or cheap in a fighting game anyway. If something is possible to do in a game, it's a valid strategy. Imposing rediculous rules like "no throwing" or something like that just makes the game worse and less fun for everyone in the long run. If throwing 10 times...
I play Soul Calibur 4 (PS3) daily, and high latency (over 50ms) is almost non-existant here in Europe as long as I only play people with 4 or more latency-bars. I played Tekken 5DR before SC4 came out, and it was very laggy in comparison.
Of course, it can never be completely latency free, so the online game is different (although only slightly) than the offline game. Have to be more careful about those fast lows (ie. that damn Mitsurugi!)
What's the big deal? This is no different than deleting forum threads after a big nerdrage. This has nothing to do with being worried about sales. If they were, there wouldn't be a user rating system at all.
