Yup, they are certainly in-engine, but the game will not look like this when playing. The shots are native 1080p with insane AA, which just isn't gonna happen on the 360 unfortunately.

The cheapest PS3 I could find in Norway right now was at 466$. 130$ more than the estimated manufacturing cost. Also, the PS3 hasn't even been out for 3 years in Europe.

Has MS really sold 39 mill? The only quote I saw coming directly from MS was something along the lines of "39 mill XBox 360's around the world", which imo translates to 39 mill manufactured, not sold. I haven't really researched this much at all, so if anyone has a link to a quote (from MS themselves) mentioning actual sales just paste it.

If not, then very smart choice of words by MS. They know their marketing! If only people were smart enough to see though it...

Can anyone actually measure how good the community is on XBL and PSN? I've heard the argument that XBL has the better community lots of times now, but I've yet to find a single word saying why this is the case and proving it.

I'm sure the community on XBL is excellent. I know for a fact that it is on PSN too.

The combat system is important to me. Alot of time is spent in combat, so it better be good.

I think the DQ combat system is a little too simple. There is a lot of combat (which are random encounters mostly) and it bored me after a while. I did however finish DQ8 because everything else was very good, and did pretty much everything there was to do post-story. I still enjoyed both FFX and FFXII more, and even FFX-2 actually due to having the best combat system of them all!

Remember FFX? It was just like that too. I'm not worried.

I also blame Namco - they could have done better since we've seen it in other fighters, but your argument is a bad one.

Shooters use a technique called clientside prediction to "hide" the latency and this works well in this genre. For fighters there are no tricks they can use.

Then you need to stop buying all high budget games. This has been going on for a while now.

Most likely not if that particular game can simply be downloaded from PSN instead :]

I can tell the difference between 60 and 120 fps no problem. Ask any old school Quaker :)

My theory is that this is something that can be trained (passively), and I've got a lot of "training" in Quake. At least that's one explanation for why some people are having a hard time telling the difference, while others have no problem at all.

Some games have to be 60 fps or they'd be practically unplayable at a high level. These games are fighters like Tekken and Soul Calibur, and fast racers like Wipeout HD. Ratchet & Clank will be just fine in 30 fps.

Btw, I don't understand how console gamers are content with just 30 fps for multiplayer first person shooters. There is just no way to reach maximum potential with so much inputlag. I'm an old school quaker, and anything less than 85 fps was simply unacceptable. ...

Perhaps someone can list up the HDTVs that support full range? It will be a short list. It's not because they suck, it's because the socalled limited range is the standard for even new TVs. The "new TVs support full range" thing is a myth, probably born from the fact that "Full" sounds better than "Limited", and new stuff is better right?

The options should be called "TV Mode" (Limited) and "PC Mode" (Full), because in practice,...

I'm sticking with Soul Calibur, but it has nothing to do with the graphics of Tekken (nor Soul Calibur). Who plays competitive games for the graphics anyway?

And they clearly don't understand what the Full/Limited range option is about. One is right and one is wrong, which is what depends on your TV/monitor. It is pointless comparing them. (If you got a HDTV, Limited is almost guaranteed to be the correct option - It is the default option for a reason)

And about ...
