Almost as many articles as there are interviews with Sean Murray pitching a completely different game.

I got the N64 for Christmas 1996 (my god, 20 years ago?) and still remember the first time I played Super Mario 64. I was yelling at family to come see how amazing it was, lol. I really miss those 90s platformers... so many fantastic games - I'm still surprised that as a genre it doesn't have the hold it once does. I keep hoping for a renaissance of the 3D platformer, although I'm not so sure this is it. Does look promising though, the character design and environments remind ...

I still don't see Neo being a console trying to compete with Scorpio. It will have a year before Scorpio even releases where it's only competition is the Xbox One S (which is no competition). What you will then see is Sony announce PS5 6 months after Scorpio releases at E3 2018 with a release date of holidays 2019. Look for Microsoft using words like "premium experience" more when talking about Scorpio because it will end up being a boutique item for the hard-core Xbox ga...

While the game itself looks decent what surprised me the most was how last generation it felt. From the character animations to actual gameplay mechanics I felt as if I was playing a remaster of Human Revolution rather than a new game. I don't buy many games at launch anymore but this is one I should have waited on. I think it is a solid $40 or under title - nowhere near a $60 game although nowadays I'm starting to feel like most games aren't worth $60.

Whatever you say, Mohammad.

All the patching in the world will never resolve the biggest issue with the game... that it is nothing like the E3 trailers. I maxed out my exosuit/starship/multitool, finished the Atlas path but gave up on going to the center because there is no point and never saw a planet in the 70+ I visited that looked anywhere near as dynamic as what Sean showed. I never wanted multiplayer to begin with in this game... what I did want is something that looked even half as fun as the gameplay we were s...

Amazing... brings back such amazing memories to my childhood - can't wait!

I had held off buying this after such mediocre reception but picked it up recently and think it's one of the better games I've played this generation. It's a nice change of pace from a market filled with dark, futuristic dude-bro games.

I am not anti-Xbox by any means, I enjoyed the Xbox 360 far more than the PS3 last generation but I think Scorpio is just another of many missteps Microsoft has made this generation. It was a desperate cry for attention at E3 and the specs no doubt sound spectacular but this is the very definition of a boutique item at the end of a consoles cycle. It would be like buying a suped up Xbox 360 at the end of that cycle.

A lot of fuss is made over Neo specs compared to Scopri...

Would be nice to see at least one new shooter that isn't so heavy on the dude-bro aesthetic.

The problem I have with NMS however is that it is so far off from any of the trailers that it virtually looks like a different game. Nothing in any of the E3 trailers looks like the actual game... it's not a matter of graphical downgrades, it fundamentally looks like a different type of gameplay all together. Sean DID lie and I'm tired of everybody felling sympathy for him because it's a small studio.

I think quite a few fans of the game are quickly coming to the realization now that it wasn't the game we had hoped. It was brilliant at first and the foundation is definitely there for something amazing but I don't think this particular title will ever get there, regardless of patches or base building. I think the only way No Man's Sky becomes they game we wanted is in a sequel. I'm thinking of this game as a very long beta test but already sold off my limited edition of i...

I really thought they were going to either eliminate the light bar or make it much smaller... the last thing I ever thought they would do is keep it the same size and add more to the front! I love the dual-shock controller but that light bar is a travesty.

After maxing out inventory slots on exosuit/starship/multitool and completing the Atlas quest line I suddenly realized all the patches in the world won't give me the game they showed at E3. Not once in all of those hours did I see anything as amazing as what they were selling: https://youtu.be/0APP5WcX8v... - the game is built around one idea.. grinding.

Well... Nuka-World was my last holdout on this game although I didn't have very high expectations. I will give it a go since I have the season pass anyway but this looks just as average as the rest of the game was. I popped in Fallout 3 the other day and had so much more fun with the title. I hope a different team takes on Fallout 5 and gets back to making an RPG rather than open-world shooter. I would also like to see settlement building eliminated completely.

The Horizon series is just too "cool" for me... I feel like I'm playing a Mountain Dew/Doritos inspired racing sim.

Playstation and Microsoft online services are becoming just that... a pass into online play. Outside of that I expect to see even less and less free games as times goes on. As it stands now both consoles have been scrapping the bottom of the barrel for most of this generation.

I am not a COD/Battlefield fan, however, Battlefield 1 did peak my interest because it looked like it might be a nice change of pace from the typical dude-bro shooters they have become. If I am to ever purchase this game I will wait a year or so... in fact there are few games I buy around launch anymore. The increase in seasons passes, cut-content sold as "extra" content and more there is no rush to get into anything. There is plenty to play in the meantime including titles I hav...

I know it is what sells but one of the things I appreciated from a art style perspective of games like Sunset Overdrive, Transistor or No Man's Sky was that they created an aesthetic that wasn't dude-bros in space. The same dark, depressing dystopian futures with a lot of blood and of course protagonists with very manly/raspy voices.
