The Xbox One S (which I sold last week) is a much nicer looking console but at the end of the day I would take this PS4 Slim model over the S any day. This is aimed at the masses and it will do the job. I'd recommend if you are not interested in Neo then get yourself an original PS4 over the next few weeks... however I recommend saving the extra cash to get the Neo;)
I know I am in the extreme minority on this but Transistor has been my favorite game this generation, not only did I get the platinum but I have played the entire campaign at least a dozen times. Which is funny because I hated their other game Bastion and have absolutely not interested in their next game Pyre.
Have to give Oxenfree a try sometime, looks like my kind of game.
You spelled "minority" wrong.
Agreed... I think the only positive that will come out of NMS is that another developer will take the concept and make a really amazing game out of it.
I don't think there is anything wrong with Nintendo being Nintendo focusing on Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Pikmin, Captain Toad, etc... are all outstanding first party franchises. The innocence of their games is a lot of the appeal and I've been gaming for 30+ years. The problem is they focus on outdated hardware with gimmicks to make up the difference and have for a couple console cycles now.
As for @Shin-Zantetsuken... so dude-bro you can almost smell t...
I'm sorry but the reason I disliked the Wii U was because it was a poorly designed console with an even more poorly designed controller NOT because they didn't explain it well enough. Every interview Reggie or anybody from Nintendo does makes it seem like they think the consumers just don't "get it". I loved the NES/SNES/N64/Gamecube and then they lost me. Sadly the success of the Wii to a predominantly non-gaming gamer has created a culture within the company focusin...
I know a lot of Xbox fanboys just can't accept the fact that Xbox as a console brand is dying... if it wasn't Microsoft would not be allowing all future big hitters like Halo/Gears/Forza/Crackdown, etc. go to the PC. Xbox as a service is where their focus is now... that's where the money is anyway. They will definitely try to push another console after Sony announces PS5 at E3 2018 but it will be the Dreamcast of modern gaming.
If Xbox One had launched withou...
I highly recommend not purchasing it and that is coming from somebody who has had the launch Xbox One and the Xbox One S 2TB. Scorpio is going to be a very short lived premium boutique item - I already know the kind of disagrees that come when faced with this reality but....
Neo releases this year, it will be out a full year without Scoprio and will be the PS4 swan song for this generation. Sony set Microsoft up at E3 knowing they would try to upstage them with better spe...
Don't get me wrong, I'm OK with shooting - if the current mechanics had been present in Fallout 3/New Vegas it would have definitely helped. The issue I might not of articulated well enough is I feel like the entire game is based around the shooting. Go here, shoot the place up... go there, shoot the place up. Reminds me a bit of Mass Effect series. ME1 is still my favorite game in the series by a long shot, however if the shooting mechanics had been as polished as they were in ME...
Fallout 4 was my most anticipated game of this generation so of course I got the game and season pass as soon as possible. I had an opportunity to play a good chunk of Nuka World today, might as well since I already paid for it and shortly after uninstalled Fallout 4 along with all the DLC. It's just more of the same open world shooter garbage I disliked about the main quest to begin with. And while it's great there are people who are enjoying the newest iteration of the Fallout fr...

I feel very fortunate to have pre-ordered the limited edition... not only did I get to play the "game" but I was able to easily make my money back after playing the "game". I thought about going digital on NMS, felt this was going to be my favorite game of this generation. The only thing that would have made the disappointment worse was not getting my money back.
I find that with most releases I've bought this generation and last if I don't li...
I have not been a fan of the Witcher games at all, in large part because I'm not a fan of medieval fantasy (Skyrim, Dragon Age). However, I unlike other games I don't enjoy I appreciate not only the talent of the studio but their focus on supporting their creations and the community. With that said I can not wait for CB2077... not only is it a genre I love that I love but I have a feeling they are going to make something really jaw dropping. The cyberpunk genre has been criminally ...
If you are upset over an extra 83 cents a month over the course of a year you probably shouldn't be spending money on video games to begin with. For an online service that is still a fantastic deal.
What I think would benefit Sony immensely would be to offer a PlayStation package (kind of like cable TV) where you can have PlayStation Now, PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Vue all together for a set price. I've have all three, along with Spotify, which makes for a fant...
This game has Last Guardian written all over it... sadly it will be years before this game is even released and when it is it will look very outdated and more like a remaster of the first two games (which I loved) rather than a new gaming experience.
It's also a cheaper, watered down version of what they showed in trailers for their own game.
I really want Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Captain Toad (yes, I loved that game) but I REALLY don't want a controller with a screen... it is the reason I sold off my Wii U to begin with. Very disappointing to see Nintendo going the controller/tablet route again.
As long as it is more Dead Space and less Dead Space 3.
It's only fitting since most of the content shown in promotional materials disappeared from the game.
Not that there are not a few decent games there but it feels like sales are focusing more and more on smaller indie games... it's rare I pick anything up anymore on these.
