Yes, I know... nobody buys a console for the way it looks but my goodness... Sony really went out of their way to make something uglier than the launch Xbox One.

While I understand the fandom behind anything Metal Gear in the gaming community I think the "swan song" was one one of the most repetitive games I've played this generation and found Mad Max for all it's shortcomings to be a more fun experience.

I loved the game at first, but then after a few hours you realize there really isn't a game - just a perpetual grind. And I think that is at the core of such a strong backlash about the game. There was no doubt a lot of half-truths (to be generous) when promoting this game but I don't think any of it mattered had what is in the game was actually fun and well crafted. It wasn't and I had no qualms about selling off my limited edition within 2 weeks of release to make most of my ...

I think all gamers should take a hard pass on Pro/PSVR on the Sony side and Xbox One S/Scorpio on the Microsoft side of things. Stick with your PS4/Xbox One and enjoy the next 2 years because that's all you have left before next generation starts. Within 6 months of Scorpio hitting shelves Sony will announce PS5 at E3 2018 (with a 2019 release). Within 6 months of that Microsoft will hold a special event to announce Xbox "Two" coming out within close proximity to the PS5 lau...

Do you work for Microsoft or just have your ego invested in their console? Probably best that you realize PS4 Pro and Scorpio are both going to be obsolete consoles before you know it. Within 6 months of Scorpio hitting shelves Sony will no doubt announce PS5 at E3 2018 (for a 2019 release) it will completely overshadow Scorpio and mark the beginning of a new console cycle. I recommend to fanboys of either console to take a hard pass on Pro/Scorpio - it is true waste of money.

I have to strongly disagree... while mods might be important to the PC master race I just don't see them having much impact on consoles and in fact I think have a negative impact on the Xbox brand, as they continue to confuse PC gaming with console gaming. I spent a bit of times with Fallout 4 mods on Xbox and they were garbage.

I have absolutely no doubt that 6 months after Scorpio hits shelves that Sony will be showing PS5 at E3 2018 (for a 2019 release) and that PS4 Pro/ Xbox Scorpio will have been failed experiments.

I did try many of the mods before I sold off my Xbox One S recently. As a non-PC gamer I was eager to see what all of the fuss was about, I left feeling kind of "meh" with the experience. Firstly, the fact that achievements are disabled on ALL mods was a huge let-down. It is understandable that mods that boost your character like any god mode cheat would disable achievements but things that make the game "prettier" should not. At the same time I didn't feel they ad...

I would have agreed had Sony included the 4K blu-ray player, but without it they gave Microsoft some pretty easy marketing for the upcoming holiday season. I would say however that Sony isn't looking to compete with Scorpio and that in fact Scorpio is also a mistake of a console with Sony getting ready to announce PS5 at E3 2018 (for a 2019) release. PS4 Pro and Scorpio will both be failed experiments and as gamers we should be doing everything we can to make sure they fail... otherwise...

Mass Effect was my favorite series last generation (even if the ending was awful) the games and characters were a blast to play on multiple playthroughs. With that said... everything about Andromeda shown so far is a game I have no interest in playing. I'm OK with 30FPS and different timeline/characters but the game itself just looks like garbage. Lots of polygons on the screen but terrible art design, great facial animations but some of the most uninteresting characters in any new gam...

As somebody who has been very disappointed in the Wii and Wii U I would have to say I don't think Nintendo is becoming Sega (at least yet). While I agree that their hardware future is going away quickly and that NX will be their last console I think they have a brighter future than any other company as a third party developer. Sega never had the franchise power or quality from game to game - if Nintendo were publishing games on Apple/Android/Sony/Microsoft they would be the most dominat...

I have never enjoyed mobile gaming, I've tried a few games over the years and absolutely hated each one. Fallout Shelter kept my interest for about a half hour which is more than anything else. Regardless, I'm excited to see this is coming to Android in the future (I loathe anything Apple)... not sure if I'll enjoy it but looks better than anything else I've seen in the mobile realm. This probably means as well that after the NX bombs like the Wii U (with another goofy cont...

At this point the NX is actually the only console I'm excited about at this point. Sony vs Microsoft is basically an arms race with no new content of any kind for either system. It will just be varying degrees of pixels. I think Nintendo might actually be in a unique position to dominate without having to worry about specs much like they did with the Wii. Speaking for myself I have no desire to get any variation of the Xbox One console again but Sony DID lose a sale to me today by ref...

I completely agree that Sony isn't trying to compete with Scorpio. However, I don't see PS5 hitting shelves in 2018... they will announce it E3 2018 for a 2019 release. In the meantime I think Sony made a HUGE mistake not including a 4K blu-ray player. They could have slammed the door on Xbox this holiday season and instead left it wide open.

Too bad one of those peripherals won't be a standard 4K blu-ray player.

Sony isn't looking to compete with Scoprio, just get out in the market for this year and next before they unveil the PS5 at E3 2018 for a 2019 release. With that said... not including a basic 4K blu-ray player completely ruined any hype going into this holiday season and might as well be dead in the water. I really thought they had it all wrapped up for the next 2 years but they just gave Microsoft a HUGE opening.

What's amazing is that the "Pro" can't even play basic 4K discs and the Xbox One S can. The PS4 Pro is dead in the water and I was all about it until that disaster of a press conference. Once again, Sony and Microsoft find a way to swap places again.
