The problem is many people hate it, how similar it is to every other game in the series, as far as I'm concerned COD4 still had the best map design on the lot.

But then say, MW3 releases, with its new shiny horde mode, everyone buys it and you go on PSN or XBL and look on your friends list, EVERYONE is playing MW3.

whats the better choice? Playing a shooter online on your own, which is still fun, but everyone knows its so much better playing with a group ...

Cool, I remember playing this a little with a friend a couple times.

Just seemed like good shoot em up fun without being bogged down by some kind of end of the world story (correct me if im wrong on that)

I think Onlive will do better than many people think.

Its already got an interface, the games and its a flexible platform that can work on anything from a laptop, a smart tv to a tiny smartphone.

I gave it a go on my low spec laptop a while back. I knew on my connection speeds it wouldnt be perfect but i was still amazed. Minus a little lag i had an up to date game, producing visuals vastly superior to what my laptop could ever render itself and once theyve ...

I dont think onlive is bitter or anything near it...

Onlives plan has ALWAYS been that it could be used on anything, laptops, computers, TV's, maybe even tablets. It turns anything that can output HD video and connects to the internet into a high end gaming device.

How would they do that if they became restricted to one companies products like Sony???

Its not in their business plan to be bought.

Ive always seen them as a...

Same thing was said last generation, was completely wrong.

The gaming sector continues to grow worldwide so theres plenty of money to be made. Just expect DLC to continue to be used to help increase profits along with whatever comes next.

Im not worried though. Especially when there are so many good dev kits being made like Unreal which will help reduce development costs for smaller dev studios just like they did this gen.

@ KwietStorm

Not just me that thought "super lame hypes" was funny then =p

Oh yeah I think I have heard that before actually.

probably the best reason why theyve not done it yet which then makes you wonder why add it in now?

Guess its become to much of a standard feature in tech to not have included.

Same, I told everyone this was the game to get and not MW3, but seeing that BF4 is releasing so soon, especially after BF3 has become old faster than expected, Im loosing interest in the series.

many old fans will hate the news that a new BF game is coming so soon, its meant to have a few years breathing time as its meant to be a good series.

Many people, myself included would have preferred another bad company, a return to WW2, or another future styled game....

Its education about games thats needed for parents.

Its something that will probably get better as time moves on, the average age of a gamer is now above 30 and has been for a while, within a generation most parents will probably have had experience with games and so will understand how to manage the way their children play.

This will hopefully aid in the issue of parents letting kids barely into their teens play COD games, and then blaming the developers wh...

Please make another socom game, not like socom 4 that was a massive disappointment.

Personally I think slant six should be working on the game, confrontation after the server fixes played very well and stuck to the series roots way better than socom 4 did. The psp versions were good too, everyone used a mic and the gameplay was more engaging than any COD game on home consoles!!!

Give the series to them, make sure they dont screw up or divert away from the gam...

There was a comment on the website that actually sounded plausible to me.

That 3rd party developers have maybe forced sony and MS to make their hardware more compatible. maybe sony had to reluctantly agree to make their hardware a little more developer friendly?

throughout this gen 3rd party devs have struggled to make multiplats look decent on the ps3. Whilst sonys first party devs all banded together to create some stunning visuals other devs really struggl...

Fair enough.

I think its a grey area when you get games like these. Im not sure id call a game like this a video game in the traditional sense. Its somewhere in between games and film.

It might do well or it might completely fail. Its a risk but one that makes it more exciting.

It might not strictly be a video game like others. But its interesting none the less.

Might rent heavy Rain so Ive got a better idea about it all. i...

Thats pretty cool.

I prefer google chrome but IE is probably my second favorite browser.

Was wondering why this wasnt done ages ago when even TV's are able to browse the net.

Nice to know they did it right though. Tried the browser on my PS3 once, never again...

How do you know that he always gets it wrong?

he must be doing something right to still be doing the job he is doing.

Sometimes the media only portrays when people get things wrong because its more interesting to read. So for all we know he maybe gets 70% of his predictions wrong and it valuable to some businesses, but then when he gets something wrong thats what people flock to.

Of course I could be wrong its merely a suggestion. But when t...

Why not use videogames?

Personally i think its an interesting idea. We already have books which are deep and meaningful, and some films. And as gaming matures we will see more of this start to happen where stores become more emotionally involving.

The idea that a game can not only bring you into an emotionally involving setting, but actually force you do decide how it unravels, could bring something more involving than any film or book if it were done with a...

I wonder if its because of smartphones and tablets?

Like some people have said, when the original psp launched mobiles couldnt really do decent gaming, now however for way less than a vita you can get a smartphone or tablet that will do games easily good enough and films/ music to keep your attention during car and train journeys.

So when youve already got a home console, and a smartphone to hold your attention out and about, maybe demand has dropped?

Worst list ever. Wheres the examples and proof???

The films industry is global. I watch films from around the world using dubs or subtitles and theyre great. The main issue though is that scripts for films are hard to translate, especially in comedies where countries all have their own version of humor in the use of their language. Its not hard to translate FPS games though when its mainly "**** Ive been shot" =P

There are films that take themselves...

Theres a good one in BF3 where if you ram a boat into an amphibious vehicle, it becomes lodged.

Then you drive on land and become a crazy dual machine gun transformer piece of awesomeness.

Poor fools never knew what hit em.

not sure if it counts as a glitch, but its fun

Wish i could press the agree button more than once. BF3 is technically better, but its turned from a fun game that lets you mess around a little, into a much more serious game.
