Its all important.
To say graphics arn't important or are beneath other aspects isn't really correct.
Graphics attribute to the graphical style of a game, which will play a deciding role in the character, feel and identity of a game.
Its the first thing you see, the first thing you notice, and instantly upon seeing it before playing the game, youve formed a judgment.
Realistic? good animations? realism vs stylized? ...
What about Fallout 4 - 44444443?
Wanna know the real answer?
Nobody here has a CLUE how the ps3 stacks up to PCs.
Just because you own a pc, does not make you some computing guru who knows how everything do do with all that is computing works.
I have a PC I made myself, you screw a motherboard to a case, plug in various slots that fit in like lego and connect it all up to the PSU which is also easy.
Do I know how it all works???
NO.
Grass is more important than just looking nice its also pretty good from a gameplay perspective.
COD4 had tons of long grass which people used to hide from snipers and to sneak about.
I assume they took the majority of that out due to constraints. BF bad company 2 had some good maps with dense vegetation too.
I have it on the ps3 but Ive seen it on the xbox.
The main issue is the frame rate, in areas its not smooth at all. The next thing is the lighting, in some of the darker sections its like looking at 2 different games.
Still good game though. Just could have done with more dev time.
All I want is battlefront 3, thats it, everything else can be put on hold just please make that game!
Everyone wants it those games were awesome. With new consoles we would have more players, bigger maps, like a crazy mix between Battlefield, Warhawk, MAG...
*drools*
Its been so long I think I've hyped myself up so much that unless its 11/10 good I think I'm gonna have a breakdown =p
Am I the only person who didn't mind Raiden being the main character in MGS2?
I mean Snake is awesome but I liked the twist at the beginning and thought the game was still great, like all of them.
Change is good every now and then.
Id have liked to play as Boss. If I remember rightly she was around during WW2?
Just checked she was involved in D day, now sneaking around during that, with enemies everywhere fighting. That...
MS will be going for all gaming audiences next gen, just like sony.
The ps4 will have some casual titles out at launch too, that's for sure. They just haven't shown much yet because casual gamer's wont be looking so far ahead and on gaming websites for this information. Right not is about attracting gamer's.
Not sure what MS will bring to the table at launch though. Halo 4 wasnt that long ago released, and gears has just been released.
Id rather they just got straight on to making a new game for the PS4.
Remember that this game is the result of years of optimizing and getting the best out of the ps3. The PS4 is completely different in its architecture.
It would seem more logical for them to make a follow up game to the last of us. This game will create a solid fan base for the series, which can be continued next gen.
I kind of expected that anyway.
£40 - £45 seems to be the limit that people are willing to pay for games, and rightly so. Its expensive.
This is why I dont mind DLC as long as theres enough content in the original game (which there almost always has been for games I've purchased).
Let people buy DLC and micro DLC if they want it, so that the prices stay where they are.
Not bad.
I wouldn't buy one of these at that price, but its a great sign of things to come.
Ive always wanted a true console experience that I can take around with me. The psp was as close as I got to that.
But tablets are making some big strides. Racing games in particular are playing nicely, and shooters will get there once they figure out the controls.
If this thing was cheaper, and the controller attachment a little ...
I think people are taking the information provided and going way too far with it.
In my mind this means that, while you can use it with a connection, having it always connected will probably make the experience better.
If all games are mandatory installs as previous rumors suggest, then imagine this.
An update for a game is released, your xbox automatically downloads it in standby mode, patches your game, and when you start you just get a po...
Ive not bought Black Ops 2 yet, but Im still getting enjoyment out of MW3 so I'll probably end up getting this one.
Bash it all you want, but like some have said, its something everyone buys, and its a blast to play with friends.
And each time round they always manage to add some new game mode that just keeps things fresh. The community game modes are great, I still love playing infection. Reminds me of the Halo mode. Domination is a blast and survival wi...
Depends on how the game is written.
Technically 8 cores would be better. however at the moment games are only really starting to get to grips with quad core processors. You can still play high end games with a decent intel dual core.
But the gaming sector is behind in that sense. If you look at professional programs for creating and editing 3d visuals, where programs are written for multiple cores, the performance jump is pretty large.
Thats ...
Looking forward to next gen.
A lot of people seem disappointed with the graphical leap. but remember as we go on, the jump will seem like less and less as we get closer to photo realism.
The big difference I noticed immediately was the draw distance, the sheer amount going on on screen, the wider colour pallet. Obviously were seeing more polys too, but what really brings a scene to life is things moving, things going on at all scales and distances.
...
I understand that, but since when did not buying a micro transaction take away from any game?
And if Im honest, if developers need to make more money to keep games profitable next gen, I would much rather it was done by them selling some avatar or armor set to those who want it, than a blanket rise in game prices to £50. 100%
YOU might not want to buy them, and I fully respect that. But if someone else sees value in it, who are we to criticize?
I dont understand the hate surrounding this.
If someone wants to buy a pack to unlock all the guns in a game, who cares? maybe they have a demanding job and unlocking everything would take months with the time they have, and its too much effort?
Just let people play their games how they want, let developers do their best to cater to the entire market, and focus on buying what you think if worth your money.
Ive never bought a special edition game.
I know what would happen if i got one of those figurines ive tried friends before, I pay with then for 5 mins, realize id rather be playing the game and then I dont care.
I think theyd all end up in the bin with me, theres not really even any re sale value either...
No I don't have a gaming pc, I have one good for rendering but not gaming.
So I will also be playing this on a 360 or ps3. Itll still look good, I mean look at far cry 3 that looks good on consoles, but those screenshots, Im not expecting that on consoles.
I agree. whilst they make great screenshots, some of the mods take away from the intended atmosphere of the game.
Its Skyrim, not dead or alive lol.
