See everyone says they can wait next gen to get the console instead of day one but im not sure =p
I keep telling myself that, but just like last gen when all three console makers come to the stage at E3, and show epic trailers for their release games like the gears trailer, Motorstorm and MGS4, the want factor will be insane.
Plus yeah the graphics get better over the gen, but nothing beats when you first play a game on that console you bought day 1, and just...
If Battlefield 4 end up being similar to BF3 in the way MW3 was similar to MW2, I'll probably skip it. BF3 is a great game and I cant see it being improved upon much this gen on consoles so I'd just be paying for new maps same gameplay.
If this were a new bad company game, Id be all over it fully destructible buildings and a graphical style that just had that little bit more charm would make it a no brainer.
Looks like EA want this to be their COD ri...
Surely its a typo and its 160Gb???
I mean hard drives are dirt cheap these days, so its not even like having a 16Gb hard drive would even make much difference to the cost when considering sony buys them in bulk.
Im not sure. Maybe its true but if this is meant to be the one stop place for all media under your tv. Dont you want some space to store films and stuff?
Streaming is great, and i know you can stream from your laptop too, but even wit...
I tried a bit of the MOH game before this one at a friends doing the mission where you lazer target a bunch of tanks but didnt enjoy it much, took way too long.
Id love to see MOH go back to WW2 or something i think people would be ready for a decent trip back to the pacific or something especially with better AI for guerrilla warfare would be awesome.
I want to try out the first MOH game this gen where you parachuted down for the SP, really fresh and interes...
Yeah true. As I wrote that i was thinking thats coming from someone who doesnt play halo a massive amount.
tho for some people who pay that game a lot more its good to have something to go for. Once I got all the unlocks on Battlefield BC2 I ended up playing it a lot less so the hard to get unlocks to keep you playing for a long time.
Some of those wernt bad. not a terrible list but some bits wouldnt work.
I liked the dynamic map idea. Not like Battlefield with destructible maps, but more like gears of war where bits of the map changed every so often, and the weather could hurt of kill you at times which changed things up nicely.
I also like the making unlockables a little easier bit too, I never went for them but it seems its taken years for a friend of mine to get some of those pieces. M...
Forgot to add, as long as theres a CHOICE. Pay upfront, or this contract type thing. But thats how it'd be anyway.
At first it seems a bit weird since it would be cheaper to just buy the console and XBl on a yearly payment.
But then its been well known for years that its cheaper overall to buy a smartphone brand new, and just to go with a cheap monthly payment for calls and texts.
But they still fly off the shelves because no one wants to pay £600 upfront for a phone and its easier to have smaller monthly installments, even if the final cost is massive.
Watch the official advert for this game, its hilarious, instantly made this a day one purchase =D

Something brilliant about the soundtrack of "Wimoweh" coupled with insane fighting action.
Devs have a good sense of humor
Wow, I've always been told that to play the latest games on good settings you had to replace parts every 6 months to a year.
if thats really running on 6 year old hardware, definitely changed my perspective on the costs of PC gaming.
Can any one else playing games on PC's confirm that?
I dont see it having much appeal with gamers accustomed to consoles and PC games.
But I can imagine that such an open platform like this would be really attractive to someone who's hobby is in making little games and apps who wants something they can practice on.
Who knows many of them might learn enough to then start making indie games for mobiles, tablets and even for small console games.
I wont get one, but then im not interested in co...
Might get disagrees for this but one of the reasons Ive not gone for the Vita is because of tablet advances in the past year.
I went for a psp when it came out a few years ago and it was great to start, but then support dried up especially in the West to the point where it was pretty hard to find new and decent games.
Im getting a nexus 7. I know the games wont be as deep as the vita and touch controls are not as good but I think the trade off is worth it. <...
When games cost upwards of £40 this gen considering I played the game multiple times it ended up being left for a while so I thought I'd trade it in so I could play more games. Why keep a game your not using anymore? Im not really the type to hoard things for the sake of having full collections, each to their own.
Spydiggity has it right. And I said i was a fan of the series. Now MGS3 is a game I could NEVER trade in, one of the best games I've ever played and I&...
Don't get the disagrees youve got there tbh.
Im a massive fan of the MG series but after playing through MGS4 3 times and trading it in years ago, for me this is waaay too late.
The fanbase asked for this for months after release to no avail. Only reason i can see them doing this is to re kindle interest in the series for the next game, not as some kind gesture to the fans because if it were that it would have happened a loooong time ago,
I am interested to see how the free to play model will work. DUST looks very interesting and whilst I may not have tried it out if i had to pay £20 for it, I will definitely give it ago at the free price point.
And then if i enjoy it and the paid for parts add to the experience, I'll probably go for it, it would still be cheaper than paying £40 upfront for a game.
Personally i think it could be good for the industry. The amount of games that loo...
Also is there still the possibility to make your ps3 a dedicated server like warhawk? Loved that feature it was a great way to give back to the community and create servers that were fair.
And do people still host servers just to mess around? I remember in the early days of warhawk people setting up servers of hide and seek and jeep golf, its a game that let you just mess around sometimes. Very few limitations =D
I've been on the fence about this game for quite a while now.
The only thing holding me back is that i have warhawk and I'm a massive fan to the point that I'm STILL playing it every so often after all these years.
Its just to well balanced I play it and feel like there's just so little that can be done to make it any better.
Then i look at Starhawk and wonder if it could possibly live up to the game, and whether the community...
Really liking this idea, the Tegra 3 chip is actually pushing some half decent visuals on the Nexus so indie devs should have enough to play around with for smaller games.
It'll be interesting that's for sure. Not sure if its going to take off but i'll be watching it.
Didn't think about it that way
That would be pretty cool. Not sure if that would be it, but its got me thinking along different lines as to what it could be which is pretty cool =)
I wont be getting involved in playing I'm guessing we'll all find out sooner or later anyway. Imagine if its something amazing though.
Maybe we'll all wish we participated to get whatever this secret it =p
One big thing for me is to expand the map borders a bit. I dont know why theyre so squeezed in the amount of times ive wanted to flank an objective to find im outside the map by 1 meter is crazy.
It means risking crazy runs with 10 seconds to spare to use tactics that the map almost begs you to use...
And some maps with more destructibility would be nice. I know they lessened it to make the maps more tactical (at least thats what they say) but to have a coupl...
