My PS2 is still going but some disks need a good 10 tries to get a game to work, and many people I know ended up buying a second one because the original ones failed.

Then my ps3 ended up getting YLOD, i managed to get someone to open it up and fix it so i traded it in for £100 off a slim just to be sure.

But then when my 360 broke down because of the 3 year warranty MS picked it up for free, and in a couple weeks I got a working one back.

Sounds pretty good.

Got a pretty basic laptop but i run some old games on steam and liked how it simplifies PC gaming. Having something like this that makes PC gaming a little more streamlines and user friendly on a big TV and with a game pad makes building a gaming PC pretty tempting over a console.

Steams always leading the pack it seems, always bringing out the innovations at the perfect time.

Actually Digital Foundry did some research into this and came up with a pretty decent set up for around £300.

Were not talking maxing out every game but it was playing all the latest games at better frame rates and far better resolutions than consoles every time.

I wouldnt go as far as calling it &quo...

...

I already played the game multiple times and traded it in years ago.

As much as i loved the game I played it enough. As great is this is for those who've not played it yet, to have this feature so late kind of feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth for a real fan who bought the game on day one...

Better than no update though I guess lol, heres hoping the next game comes out with this support on day one, and doesnt take 4 years for al...

Never mention Haze =p

A friend bought me that game as a joke present. Neve finished the story the game was too broken and unplayable, to the point it was kind of funny =p

Felt sorry for the devs though their previous work was good...

Considering both games probably took heavy inspiration from Indiana Jones theres no doubt that they will have a similar feel.

Got no problems with that though Uncharted was great and more games in this genre with good story telling sounds pretty awesome to me =D

Agree with that, none of those need to be canned.

Some of them could to with a re-boot. Though i expect Call of Duty will get one at some point similar to the change between 3 and 4 with next gen.

Halo, Gears of war and uncharted have been some of the best games this gen that have just kept on one upping themselves all generation, theyre doing everything right as far as Im concerned...

EDIT: Ah ok it was made using drawings/ dimensions from rumors.

be nice to see it rendered or something to make it a little more real. Any ideas on the materials that are gonna be used?

The kids were just trying to have fun making their own clan. Nothing wrong there.

It was funny to watch, but the only person acting below his age in that video was the guy who made it.

That's ridiculous

The Xbox brand is for gaming and entertainment, and the tablet is not being marketed solely as a games machine, just like windows pcs are not being marketed solely as gaming machines.

Its a tablet running a windows OS, designed with businesses in mind just as much as general consumers (businesses will love how it works so smoothly with their windows servers and computers).

Its not a gaming machine, its that simple real...

Not just me that thinks the Operation Flashpoint Red River was worse than its predecessor then.

Felt like they made the game easier, less open world. Annoyed the hell out of me the I could have played some of the levels in the previous games a million times in different ways, improving my tactics.

Online multiplayer never worked like it should have though, would have been amazing to have played a game where everyone used mics and worked together.

I have both services, XBL and PSN and I use regularly.

I really dont get how anyone can say that for playing games online, that one is better than the other, not even talking about costs here, just the experience. Both platforms are the same.

You go into a game, go on multiplayer mode, and it works, they work just as well as eachother which is basically flawlessly 99% of the time if you have a decent enough internet connection.

Ps3 versions o...

Personally Ive not noticed issues with getting into servers so I dont know how this que system works but its not adversely affected me and Im not on Premium.

Its a neat package if you want all of the map packs, but i wouldnt expect the guides to make you any better than you are now, or the guns. The game already has tons of guns that you can whoop ass with if you use them enough to learn how to use them, and a little practice in each map is all it takes to know which routes t...

Team Fortress 2 is an obvious one, the goldeneye thing was pretty cool loved it on the N64.

Theres a few old RTS games that are free I think, theyd make good LAN games though some will need custom patches/ Gamerager or a similar service.

I still play old rts games like AoE2 with friends, something about those old RTS games that just feels right compared to some of the newer ones...

Its not so much that sp games are dying, more that with this gen of consoles being so connected that multiplayer games have had the chance to really boom.

So its a bit more balanced now

I don't think its as bad as that, there is a place for dedicated handhelds but it must be smaller than it was with the rising capability of smartphones and tablets.

The best kind of games i ever played on my psp were things like loco roco and lego starwars, simple fun games.

Whilst I do like core games when I'm on the move I find that my ipod and fairly low end Android mobile can easily hold my attention over a train journey or when Im out and about ...

Actually AO1JMM Grap may not be correct but give it a few years or decades and he might be.

Look online bbc did a good documentary on it, China is the growing superpower right now, its overtaken Japan to become the worlds second largest economy and whilst the western world slows its still growing.

Look it up on google, might be surprised by what you find

Definitely thinking about picking this up, some of insomniacs best work.

I have to agree with the author the ps3 versions of the game do lack that special something that the ps2 games had.

After the flurry of shooters and serious games on the market Im quite excited about a return to some of the more fun and playful platformers that did well last generation

@Plambey

Yeah dont get it lol. Never hated on the system personally I like Sony products *looks at Sony ps3 and hdtv in room* but that doesnt mean I'll defend a systems faults.

Yes its a small fault and its not a game breaker but when your buying an expensive system in the era where everything works with facebook, youtube and twitter flawlessly, it does stick out. Especially when apps on other systems do work so well that they dont even feel like separate...

I dont get it why people are defending the vita for this so much?

Yes its a gaming machine first and foremost, but if an app on the vita says you can click a link to watch a video, and then that link doesn't work that's a failing of the app.

Yes you can blame twitter or youtube for this but Sony should be checking the quality of these apps.

Its not a huge problem but its just one of those little things you notice and when everything e...
