Using those games as examples proves nothing because there are other AAA games in that same timespan that sell at close to a 2-1 ratio in favor of 360. Call of Duty:World at War, Fallout 3, Saints Row 2, etc.
@PirateThom
Your logic is flawed. What you said would make sense only if EVERY 360 owner owned just ONE game. If every 360 owner owns 9 games, which I believe is the current attach rate, the differences in sales of the multi-platform games included in those 9 would, on average, equal roughly the millions of consoles that the 360 leads by.
Why is somehow considered taboo to spend money promoting your games and consoles? PS3 supporters try to make Sony look like some independent Mom & Pop operation, unable to produce large advertising budgets, being squeezed out of the market, while Microsoft is almost considered "evil" because they give their products the support they deserve. People seem to have very short memories, because since the introduction of the PS1, Sony was always the company with the biggest advertis...
This just proves that quality gameplay will prevail every time. Sure, Halo 3 may not look as good as other Xbox 360 or PS3 games, but it is gameplay quality that matters most, and Halo 3 delivers top notch next-gen gameplay. Just like PS3 supporters say that sales don't matter, it's all about quality - Halo 3 proves that gameplay quality trumps graphical prowess.

That's it? You brush off the US and UK like they are Bulgaria and Peru. The US is, by far, the largest gaming country in the world. The UK is the largest in Europe. The 360 is leading PS3 on the biggest stages in the world.
Doomed? Hardly. Japan is not the world, just like PS3 supporters always say "the US is not the world" when US sales numbers come out and PS3 is behind.
Unless you actually live in Japan, it's pointless to try to look at Japan numbers and relate to them as they compare to the rest of the world. Japan has always been a completely different gaming culture that the U.S. or Europe. Just look at the top 20 selling games last month for Japan. How many of those have you even heard of? Hell, how many can you even pronounce?
@8.1
Did Americans have an IQ of 62 when they bought 100 million PS1's and PS2's? Or do you just have a very short memory, and a HUGE PS3 fanboy complex? Americans have supported Nintendo, Atari, Sony, Sega, and Microsoft at different times during the last 20-30 years. You should think twice before you insult an entire country because your console of choice is trailing the competetion.
BTW - what did you think of Europeans when consoles such as Master System a...
I hope they broadcast the whole attempt at the record - I'd love to see Wiebe in action. My personal high score is around 280,000, and there is so much randomness in the game that I often wonder how these guys get such high scores.
MS had to drop the original Xbox and move on - it was outsold 6:1 by PS2. The 360, after 3+ years, has not only already outsold the original Xbox by millions, but leads the PS3 by millions. Trying to compare this generation of Xbox to last is pointless. It is clear that 360 will be supported for a long time to come.
The fact that a compilation like this is not only being produced, but is a top seller, is further proof that while SNES may have won the initial battle (1990-1996), Genesis has gone on to win the war. Most of the games on this collection still look and play great, even by todays standards. While most 16-bit games for other consoles have faded into oblivion, Sega Genesis games still compel today's gamers to play these classics. This collection is only a start - you could easily fill 2 more...
@1.10
Why does MS need any excuses? Last generation, they were outsold by Sony by a 6:1 margin, yet now, over 3 years into the current generation, they lead Sony.
You are right that Sony dominated with PS1 and PS2. Don't forget, those consoles dominated from the start without ANY price drops. PS3 had already been dropped in price by 33% ($600-$400)in just 2 years, and it still trails. PS3 will probably need an unheard of 50% price drop (to $299) just to catch...
Interesting how you conveniently forgot many very good 360 exclusives, and included PS3 exclusives that don't exist yet (God of War, Heavy rain, Infamous, etc.). These are all far better than "decent" as you say. Add these in, subtract off the PS3 games that are not even out yet, and see how the lists look then.

Notice how none of those European charts have numbers on them? I wonder why. For all we know, the #1 game could have sold 100 copies in some of those countries. Yet, certain people try to claim PS3 superiority based on number-less charts.
x
It is a contest because the NA numbers are so large that they more than make up the difference.
So, I guess Americans must have had bad taste when they overwhelmingly supported PS1 and PS2, right?
"Atleast, it's a real sales chart."
That's strange, I don't see any sales numbers.
"i posted 3 charts today and i would love to see an x360 game in any other chart besides UK and US"
I'd love to see a chart with actual numbers, so they can be compared to U.S. numbers.
@1.1 - "Only on 360.
Man, what an unstoppable lineup!"
Sony sure hasn't been able to stop the 360.
