Great list, unfortunately it won't be long until the PS3 fanboys pick apart your list and find faults with every game. Then, someone will make a PS3 list, and try to make us believe that EVERY PS3 exclusive is AAA quality.
Xbox 360's lineup is a lot more diverse than most people think. 360 has 47 games (including multi-platform) that have sold 1 million or more. PS3 has 17 (including multi-plats). Those 47 games represent variety across all genres, not just shooters.

The cost to MS of a launch 360 (pro model) was around $550. Adding an HD-DVD drive would have almost certainly put the retail cost of a 360 out of the reach of most people at the time. What you are forgetting is that the reason the PS1 and PS2 lasted 10 years is because they were completely dominating the competition at this point in their life cycles - something the PS3 is not doing. This generation has a completely different dynamic than either of the last two.

How is it "unorthodox" for a company to offset losses on some products by profiting on others? Sony loses money on PS3, and they make it up (although not completely, obviously) on other products, same as MS.
I wonder how many of those Wii's are from people who click on N4G and "have won a free Nintendo Wii"?

It is 100% true that PS3 sold more in it's first 2 years than 360 sold in it's first two years. But, you say, "take away the 360's last year". The 360's most recent year was it's best - how can it just be disregarded? It's not MS's fault that they launched 360 a year before PS3 - you can't just pretend those sales don't exist.

MS will not make the same mistakes as Sega (32X, Sega CD, underpowered Saturn). These mistakes cost Sega LOTS of credibility and $$$$$$. If the Dreamcast was Sega's first console, it might still be around today.
Also, Atari dominated only with the 2600. The 5200 was a huge flop, and the 7800 sold poorly compared to NES, but actually made Atari some profit in the late 80's.

Exactly - the PS3 trolls are out in force complaining about a 360 game. Why all the worry? Why do you guys care about the 360 version anyway if you feel that the PS3 version will be superior?

Read a little closer. The article says that the Dreamcast's JAPAN launch was unsuccessful, not the American launch. The US launch was one of the most successful console launches ever. As for PS3, they are saying there were problems in France and UK, not anywhere else.

So, go ahead and play them on your 19 inch monitor. 360 owners will be playing superior versions on 46 inch HDTV's with surround sound.
