Of course most people fail to realize that this article is about each console's first 2 years and 3 months, which conveniently stops counting 360's after February, 2008. Forza 2 has been out since 2007 - how long are we supposed to wait to make comparisons? You say "wait until GT5 comes out". When? In 2010? So, between Forza 2's release in 2007 and GT5's release in 2010, NO comparisons will be "relevant" to you? In THREE years! Sounds like a jab against Halo to me. The Halo franchise has yet to produce a bad game, so your extreme criticism is unwarranted. No Halo game is anywhere near "sh*t in a box".
There are a LOT of names you could slap on anything and it would sell. Halo is one, but so are Playstation, Mario, Zelda, Crash Bandicoot (maybe not anymore, but how long did Sony milk that one after a strong start?). Besides, it not like there have been any bad Halo games - so nobody can accuse MS of using the Halo name to sell an inferior product.
I envy some of you guys. You must be so rich that you jet-set around the world to your many homes in many countries. I mean, isn't that why you are so concerned with "worldwide numbers"? The "Arcade" is just the original "Core" configuration, which was launched at the same time as the Pro in 2005. It's just renamed "Arcade" because it includes a disc of XBLA games now.
I hope NFS Shift is amazing. I already have confidence that Forza 3 will be, so I'd love to have two great racing games to play later this year.
My comment is a sarcastic one aimed at the people who insist on comparing PSP GT to Forza 3 simply because the PSP GT may have 800 cars. Real gamers know there is no comparison between portable and console games. How many cars do you really use anyways? GT games have always used multiple variations of the same cars to boost the car total, while Forza 2's car list (300+) are nearly all unique. In the end, it all comes out nearly even.

PSP Ridge Racer, released in 2005, has more cars and tracks than ANY PS3 exclusive racer. When GT PSP hits, there will be TWO PSP games with more content than any PS3 exclusive racer. What's your point? Do you really want to open that can of worms? It will make PS3 look worse than 360.

Project Gotham Racing 4 is my favorite arcade style racer on 360 - give it a try if you haven't already played it. Gorgeous cars, nice tracks, great graphics, fun gameplay.

You're right. Sony is like the Yankees - the once unbeatable team now struggling while their bitter rivals have overtaken them. Forza 1 is rated higher than GT4, and Forza 2 is rated higher than GT5P. The idea the Forza games are somehow lower in quality than GT games because they are "rushed" is completely baseless. Turn 10 has succeeded at delivering the highest rated racing games without 5 year waits between games.
Project Gotham Racing 4 had an in-car view in 2007, well before GT5P.
I don't care if Forza 3 has less cars than GT PSP - it's TRACK variety that makes a game great, and Forza 2 has over 35 tracks, while over 100 are promised for Forza 3. A game can have 10,000 cars, but if you are racing the same tracks over and over, it will get boring very quickly. Besides, many of GT's cars are just multiple variations of the same car. Consider this - the PSP version of Ridge Racer has more cars and tracks than ANY PS3 exclusive racing game. Ridge Racer PSP released as a LAUNCH title in 2005, and PS3 is in it's third year. Plus, when GT releases for PSP, that will be TWO PSP games (at 1-2gb each) with MORE content than any PS3 exclusive racing game (at 25-50gb).
