The disagrees are for talking about PS3 in an Xbox 360 thread. If you think PS3 is a better deal, talk about it in a PS3 article.
EDIT @1.8 - Discussion, yes. Moronic fanboy nonsense, no. It's pretty easy to tell one from the other.
Bravo, mods.
MS is ahead of PS3 in the US - which is, BY FAR, the single largest gaming country in the world.
MS is ahead of PS3 in the UK - which is the largest gaming country in the world's largest gaming territory.
Sony can have the smaller countries, I'm sure MS is content to beat Sony on the world's largest stages.
@3.1 - Wow, another troll who just joined N4G. What a shock. You guys must really be scared - I've never seen anything like this.
@1.4
" However, Wii sales have shown that the majority of consumers aren't very logical."
Actually, the majority of consumers buy the console that has the most games that they want to play. It's unbelievably arrogant and ignorant to believe that someone who makes a choice that is different from yours must be illogical.
@aaron5829
"I'll say it again...
16 cars on track over 8 cars on track any day, any time, any weather :P
8 cars are so ( i hate to use the following word )last-gen."
Wow, my Nascar 09 game has 43 cars on the track at the same time. It must be the greatest racing game ever. After all, quantity equals quality, right?
First of all, since they are both exclusive games, there will be no choice to make for most people. PS3 owners will get GT5, 360 owners will get Forza 3. People who own both will have a choice, but since they've already chosen both consoles anyways, they will probably get both games as well. Plus, people who have both generally don't get involved in these flame wars anyways, so these comparisons are meaningless to them.
GT5 has better graphics, Forza 3 has better customizati...

@1.5 -
"One other thing, 360 is not as powerful as ps3. It'll never get a game like uncharted 2 or gran turismo 5. And talking about gt5, thats proof that bluray is beneficial for games. 1000 vs 400 cars. Sorry dvd "
You forgot 100 tracks (Forza 3) vs. 60 tracks (GT5). Maybe they should have used some of that space to add more tracks instead of 30 versions of the same cars.
Unless EVERY PC can play the game, that arguement is moot. I have a PC from 2005 - it could NEVER handle a 2009 game as is. Yet, a 360 from 2005 can play it perfectly. Big difference there.
Also, I should have been clearer about NG2 - it's in it's 2nd year on 360.
You forgot Left 4 Dead 2 for 360. Also, Ninja Gaiden 2 has been on 360 for 2 years now. The game is not PS3 exclusive - it simply has a few PS3 exclusive features.
@saaking
Your math fails to take into consideration that the PS3 would need to OUTSELL 360 by over 600,000 per month. If PS3 sells 600,000 per month, and 360 sells 400,000 per month, PS3 would only close the gap by 2.4 million per year. Or, are you expecting 360 to sell zero consoles for the next year?
It's not a fact - it's a poll result. I don't believe the 54% any more than I believe the 10% PS3 failure rate.
If you believe the 54% 360 failure rate, you also have to accept the PS3's 10% failure rate (which is more than 3X the standard consumer electronics average of 3%).
I'd like to ask PS3 fans (who believe in the poll) something - Is it OK to be bad (as far as reliability is concerned) simply because you can point to a competitor and say "They're wor...
Neither are the morons who treat a POLL result as fact.
"Price isn't the problem for the 360."
Fortunately for MS, neither are sales - it continues to perform month after month, even with the knowledge of the impending PS3 price drop and Slim release. There's no reason to think that a 360 with a $199 Arcade / $299 Elite pricing structure won't continue to sell at the same rate it has been going all year.
Still haven't heard anything about the Pro's price as it's phased out. $249?
EDIT - I n...
That explains the PS3's drop, but what about the 360's surge?
Right now, I can't afford a PS3, even at $299. As a gamer, I will eventually own each console, just as I did last generation. I am looking forward to GT PSP this year, though.

Glad to hear that Forza 3 will have 100 tracks. I'll take more tracks over more cars any day. Even though Forza 3 may have fewer cars than the competition, it has more tracks, and track variety is more important to the depth of a sim than car variety. I've been playing Forza 2 for 2 years now, and I've barely driven 100 cars, let alone 400. It seems Turn 10 has struck a perfect balance of cars and tracks.
Learning the nuances of each new track, and finally being able to mas...
That list is just as impressive as Forza 3's list of features. Both are going to be impressive.
I had to disagree for two reasons - first, it DOES NOT have a release date - you are just GUESSING!!
Second - this is a FORZA article - keep your GT news in the PS3 section.
