Consoles and game trading kinda mirrors PC and digital sales. Either way a gamer can play the gamed he/she wants without coughing out a lot of money.

Family sharing on the other hand offers a middle ground and pretty much what gamers, both on consoles and PC, wanted for years.

I've watched that review and a lot of other reviews Angry Joe had made. There's a lot of things in TW:R2 that made him angry but he didn't easily give up on it or any other games that he loved no matter how bad the latest one stinks. His rants were more like advices (loud ones) for the devs to consider in making the new ones.

He hated Saints Row the Third but he didn't say he's never buying a Saints game ever again. The same goe...

Exclusivity. That's it all really about.

If game publishers are allowed to use exclusivity (game titles) to sell their consoles then hardware makers should be allowed to have their own exclusive features for their products. AMD has TressFX a couple of months back and now Nvidia has Fur Tech. AMD has the potential of producing a lot of exclusive graphical features since practically every game makers will be using its AMD hardware on the PS4 and XB1 so it's only natura...

When I was visiting my mom's village last June, we had to wait for a boat to come and pick us up. Since it'll take some time for it to arrive, I whipped out my laptop, connect the 360 controller and fired up Ace Combat Assault Horizon.

In the village I continued playing my library of Steam games from the comfort of a couch that console gamers loved so much.

Really, stop with that old nonsense of PC incapable of playing from a couch. If only Nvidia wou...

"I find myself wanting to play most things on ps3"

That's pretty much the very reason why they kept shafting the PC version: to get you buy the console version instead. Really, they spent tons of effort to make PC games play fluidly on consoled but they couldn't do the same for PC ports? Diablo 3 is a good example.

Nothing beats the feeling playing games on a machine that you've assembled yourself.

I guess I'm an old fashioned guy who like standing up for old ideals.

I see offline gaming as if I'm buying a board game, book or toy with my hard earned money and bringing it home. There will always be some rules or limitations that we have to adhere to when using them but it's still our own little home where we get to decide on a lot of stuff.

Fully online gaming on the other hand feels so much like we're going to some theme park. It'll ...

"Stop playing their games? lol... "

It's not impossible or funny. When Ubisoft implemented its always online DRM for all of its PC titles a couple of years back, I actually stopped buying any of their games to protest. It wasn't until this year after Ubisoft copied...I mean emulated...Steam, that I finally bought some Ubisoft games (Ghost Recon Future Soldier and Splinter Cell Blacklist).

When Crytek and then EA confirmed that all of their f...

I pre-ordered Arma 3 and when I connected my 360 controller every icons were changed appropriately. Press X to use, B to jump.

I looked around and can confirm my PC is still humming nicely next to me while the game is running from Steam in Windows 7. No X Box to be seen anywhere even though game is showing me 360 controller prompts.

The last EA games I bought was Kingdoms of Amalur. Wasn't tempted to buy any thing more after hearing EA said to have online games in the future. I haven't even re-installed Origin after I reformatted my PC a couple months after getting Amalur.

With this confirmation, I might not actually be getting any new EA games at all. To think I was thinking of getting Dead Space 3 from the the Humble Bundle recently. There's nothing in EA future line up that excited me and ...

#1: That's not actually the PC's fault. It's the maker of GTA who dropped the ball on that. Since games are software so it would require some fine tuning to get it to work which is something Rockstar apparently didn't bother to address.

I've played games such as Bastion and Dust: An Elysian Tail. Both were made by small indie devs (Dust was practically coded by one man). Both devs doesn't need to spend so much time to fine tune their games for the PC a...

"MMOs are basement dwellers"....and yet the next gen consoles are designed with MMOs in mind. Destiny, The Crew, The Division and Titan Fall are just a start. Even World of Tanks is gearing for next gen.

I remember a lot of console fans look at MMOs as the garbage that's holding PC gaming together during the early days of the PS3 and 360. Now, MMOs are next gen mine gold for the consoles.

@Konsuramasuta

So why did MS put up all those super invasive DRMs with their initial XB1 announcement? The ones that they begrudgingly removed after it made them look bad against the PS4.

Perhaps some of the PC guys slagging Sony off in here are among those 750,000 who actually bought Dear Esther?

Yep...when I wasn't enthralled by the claims of better ports for PC thanks to the next gen going X86, it wasn't a knee jerk reaction of an PC elitist.

This is what I feared when Sony started the the "PS4 is indie friendly" campaign (right after the first announcement no less right into E3) and I don't think it'll get better anytime soon.

They are going to stop using numbered versions of the engine instead having it constantly updated.

Sounds like they are taking cues from Activision's way with CoD.

I don't particular care about petitions anymore. I feel they have lost their meaning. A couple of years back it's a good thing because you want those stuff for the PC so ask through the appropriate channels.

Now...I see the petitions are corrupted by the devs. The devs are telling us to beg for it instead of us voluntarily do so. Why don't just they make a PC version out of their kindness? They already took the PC's X86 architecture for their consoles. Before ...
