SeraphimBlade complaining about superknives?

@ I_am_Batman

If you're buying a new PC or upgrading from a very ancient one thus requiring a big overhaul then, yes, those would certainly be the list to follow.
If you're upgrading bits and parts of your PC then, no.

Why would you buy those stuff all over again if you're just upgrading a component or two? My PSU broke the other day so does that mean I have to throw away my current PC and buy a whole new one just to fit my new PSU? I'...

There was a lot of prototypes in the video and a number of them have trackballs and thumbsticks...and yet Valve chose trackpads. There must be something they know that we have yet to discover.

They might be feeling unsecure.

BF3 came out and made DX11 a standard after years of derision. It practically helped developers prepare for DX11 hardware in next gen consoles.

Watch Dogs might have a chance in getting 64 bit OS a standard.

CoD only contributed multiplayer aspects and the art of rehashing assets over and over again. So they need to get some credit in helping bringing the next gen in and the only thing left to claim is RAM.

I know that its an online age we're living in but its good to have a robust offline mode for those certain occasions. I stayed at my work place(returning to my home town on weekends) and recently they re-implemented firewalls that prevented me from accessing gaming site and Steam. So before going to work I set my laptop to Offline mode. Also Offline mode allow me to play games at my work place while my desktop at home download the latest games I purchased and updates the rest.

They must be on to something if they kept paying more for the same crap. I mean, AMD is forced to sell at a lower priced and yet it still struggled to keep up.

Nvidia is still alive thanks to PC gamers.
AMD has another breath of life because of next gen consoles. Really, AMD needed consoles gamers in order to surpass Nvidia.

Yes, I'll be waiting for my Nvidia optimized games, especially with the Steam OS next year. I recently upgraded my Batman Arkham City into the GOTY version and was totally surprised to see so much improvement in FPS when I played it on my laptop which has a GTX660M. Last year it was choppy even with all options lowered as far as I can go but now I can even play with DX11 features (tessellation will always be off, though) at an acceptable rate. Hell, I can even use PhysX on normal level fo...

The millions who played WoW on their PCs everyday for nearly a decade would like to disagree with you.

I was puzzled too. The title hyped about a G-Sync killer but the article is more about AMD's push for its existing line of hardware, the APU. Not much of an "answer to" when this is pretty much what AMD have been trying to push onto gamers for the past couple of years.

After years of having highly devoted PC gamers playing their MMO, CCP released an FPS spin off exclusively for the PS3. They are branching out to new crowd, that's understandable. At least PC gamers still get to drop orbital strikes on them.

After years of teasing the power of Occulust Rift on the PC followed by the Valkyrie demo, they might be giving it exclusively to consoles instead? Branching out into new demographic with a spin off is one thing but to actually lockin...

Let's see how a heavily modified game engine used when Doom was the rage will look with the new face lift and requirement.

@LonDonE

Really? Rockstar deliberately let loose a crippling virus out onto the world just to teach a group people who "stole" their previous games. Not only Rockstar isn't saying or releasing anything GTA V for the PC but released a PC destroying virus out of spite?

I know that fans are so gullible but for a big game company to be so mean and petty (yeah, I know it's your little fantasy)...

A company with a crappy game vs internet critics with tons of supporters.

This is going to be ugly and interesting to watch.

I've used a similar recording system in flight sims such as Lock On, Il-2 and Strike Fighters. Replaying your sessions and watching what you did right or wrong while getting all those awesome captures is a lot of fun.

It's such a great tool that it boggles the mind why BF3 and 4 don't have it. Imagine what super competitive, rivaling clans can do with a Battlerecorder.

"Have you ever played a game and thought to yourself that you could have designed something better?"

They are called mods. Something that keep the previous Diablo games alive for a decade but Blizzard deemed as some sort of plague for Diablo 3.

There will always be a market for PC gaming. Just look at other types of products : there will cheap cars for the masses, expensive super cars and there will also be cars between those that people would customize. Ideally they should merge and yet they still exist separately because the demands are there.

It's not that consoles and PC are going to emerge into one entity but it's more like consoles are taking more and more PC features just to stay relevant. You could c...

Not all of the negativity is unwarranted, especially in Gabe Newell's case. PC hardware sales were already slowing down long before Win 8 is even out thanks to mobile devices. Before Win 8 people would be excited at the thought of moving/upgrading to a new Windows because it was the only one out there for the masses. Apple was still a niche product while mobile devices were still dominated by keypads on Nokias.

Now, there are other options beside Windows 8 to choose from...

There is no way appeasing them. Just what and how much do the Japanese has to do to get them(victims) satisfied? 1 trillion dollars of compensation every year? A thousand virgin sacrifices every six months? The whole nation has to go on live, global broadcast and apologize every new year? Sacrifice the first born of the relatives of the soldiers who made those atrocities?

Will they ever truly pardon the Japanese? To be exact: will the politicians do? ...

It sounds nice but it might make thing worse. We're already at each others' throats when comparing the capabilities of our preferred gaming device (in particular the control schemes) so letting them in one room is not a good idea.

You know they will bring their experience back to the comments. Imagine the smug comments the console fans would made every time they dominate supposedly superior mouse PC gamers. It would only bring even more grief.
