It's funny how people are all quick to forget the fact that Gran Turismo 2 had 2 discs; one Arcade Mode and the other Simulation Mode. So what if Forza 3 did something like this? Would it really be all that bad? It's not like you'd switch between Arcade and Simulation all that often if that were the case.
God forbid you having to get off your fat ass and swap a disc. *gasp* People are hella lazy now days. It's pretty sad.
Any comment that compares two games that haven't even seen the light of day, claiming one is better than the other, is an uneducated fanboy comment. Not a "debate" nor a "discussion."
They only single-handedly saved the gaming industry from collapse with the NES. And SNES wasn't too shabby, either. But that doesn't mean anything, right? I'm sure some of you weren't even born then. And with Wii outselling PS3 and 360, they have a little room to talk.
Lest we forget the comments Sony and Microsoft have made?
And no, I'm not a Nintendo fanboy.
But most of those games, with the exception of COD4, didn't rock the gaming industry. And COD4 was multi-platform. Most came and went. Motorstorm was awesome (really looking forward to 2), but it didn't really raise the bar aside from graphics. Graphics alone don't make a game, however.
I'm sure everybody has their most wanted lists; for me, MGS4 is the only PS3 game capable of rocking the gaming industry thus far. Again, maybe KZ2 as well, but it's kind of hard to get excited ab...
Yet I'm still waiting on a PS3 title that will rock the gaming industry. We're nearing 2 years since launch and I still have yet to see anything on PS3 that blows me away. Is MGS4 a candidate? Most definitely. KZ2, perhaps? Maybe. KZ2 definitely looks great so far, but after the failure that is Haze, I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. It's easy to get excited over pretty graphics, but any real gamer knows that graphics are just part of the equation.
I'd have to disagree with you. Halo is a very competitive game, so naturally it will have a competitive community. Unfortunately, a lot of a-holes come along with that. I'm a competitive person myself, and while I do enjoy the competitive nature of the series, I also enjoy playing it socially with friends. I have friends that play it competitively and friends that play it socially. Anyone who's a diehard Halo fan can most likely tell you some multiplayer stories, via system link, with a bunch...
Frankly, I can care less what people think about certain popular games. Though I find it amusing when someone writes a novel of negative propaganda about a game they obviously suck at.
"After having played for a couple of days"
I almost stopped reading there. Sorry friendo, but you're not going to become some fantastical Halo player after playing for only a couple of days.
"Unlike any other good FPS, any weapon that isn't a sniper rifle, ...
The film was amazing. Especially the scene where the camera doesn't cut away as he's making his way through the war zone. I felt like I was right there with him. Great cinematography.
Apparently you didn't see this:

Stupidity is worldwide, but nice try.
Buckethead.
I believe that one went to Chuck Norris.
It is tactical. Like the above poster said, there are combo breakers. Combo breakers also allow shadow combos. Rather than watching a video, perhaps everyone should research the gameplay mechanics before judging.
Kind of ironic that Harmonix parted ways with Activision because Activision had no interest in where they wanted to take Guitar Hero (Rock Band). And now, after seeing the success of Rock Band, they copy the idea?
If analysts are correct about a second market crash being imminent, then EA and Activision are definitely two companies rocking the cradle.
I'd have to agree with permutated. The game looks most impressive, but as I was watching the videos, the AI didn't impress me at all. I was more engrossed in the environments and special effects than the actual combat itself, which seems to be pretty bland. And I do hope that's an easy setting. It's easy to get excited over pretty graphics, but gameplay is what really counts, and the jury is still out on that one. If I really want to nitpick, I could also mention that the voice acting leaves ...
That's no excuse. Men respect women, boys insult them.
This is nothing uncommon. I recall something like this on WoW, regarding a guild called Oz. There's so many ignorant people out there, it seems such policies are put in to place to prevent any negative encounters. It's a pretty complicated subject; one that most companies would rather sweep under the carpet.
These guys are a joke, right? A year without a Halo game? Are they aware that all 3 Halos were 3 years apart? What I find humorous, though, is this:
"What is even more interesting is that Microsoft not mentioning Mass Effect 2 at all this year confirms what many Xbox fans have feared"
Since when did silence confirm anything? And hey, if PS3 gets ME2, great. I know people with PS3s -- my brother included -- and we never engage in Xbox vs. PlayStation BS. I'm...
Some of these games, like TMNT and World Class Track Meet, are nostalgic to me because I have fond memories playing them with my brothers. TMNT isn't a good game by any means, but my brothers and I would take turns trying to beat the damn thing. Those were good times and that's all that matters. Who are they -- or anyone for that matter -- to tell me what games deserve to be nostalgic? To each their own.
lol
Why not? Aside from ARCA Racing Sim (PC), it's the best console NASCAR game to date. My only gripe is the AI. It's way too easy, even on Veteran.
