And how do you think you make yourself look as an obvious Sony drone by calling 360 owners Xbaboons? Certainly not any better.
Indeed. I'll play whatever looks appealing to me, no matter the platform. I feel sorry for people that limit themselves to one platform (by choice or finance issues), because there is and will be some really great games all around.
It'll be so hilarious if you eat your words.
@Juevani: Ignored by 14 users. Impressive. Going for a site record? Don't waste your bubble. :)
Spoken like a true fanboy, MrFurious.
I think you're only half-right. First off, I find nothing wrong with people forking out $600 for Sony's brand name and/or the successor of the PSX and PS2, which is reason enough. PSX and PS2 had some great stuff later on in their life-cycles. I personally hold nothing against the PS3 except for the price and how arrogant Sony has become. But if you're a fan, you're a fan. Secondly, to say the same things about a new Windows is stretching it. Sure, there's fanboys of everything, including Mic...
You can't please everybody's tastes, but this game is a gem and what games are all about. It's a pitty that some people disagree. Definitely worth the 800 points.
Grow up.
Games like Galaga, Dig Dug, Ms. Pac-Man, Defender, etc., have all been 400. I consider those retro. But games like SF2T, UMK3 and Worms, all 12-15 years old, have all been 800. SOTN was released in 1997, a great year for games (FF7, Quake II, Fallout, GoldenEye 007, etc.). I think SOTN is well worth the $10. Any fan will gladly pay this.
$5 sounds worth it to me.
Considering that SOTN is considered by most to be the best in the series, I don't think $10 is too pricey.
I'm sure my knowledge of the law has holes in it, but I can almost guarantee his lawsuit won't hold any water. It would be a violation of the 1st amendment and to my understanding, a judge could only put a stop to it if it were a nuisance to society, which it won't be. Nobody cares but him.
Absolutely amazing.
Unfortunately, violence is a part of life. To deny that is foolish. Although a lot of it is senseless, I'd personally rather commit violent acts in a videogame than in real life knowing no harm will come to me or anyone else. And to blame videogames for violent behavior is just silly. Most of us can actually distinguish real life with virtual reality. And for those who can't, well, something is very wrong there, and it's not videogames.
It's human nature to have preferences and opinions, but it IS possible to have an open mind and enjoy things equally, as there ARE gamers that play games for the love of games and not what platform they're on. I'm one of them. Up until this generation of consoles (due to how expensive it has become), I've tried to own every console that has been put on the market for the love of games. I still play old PC DOS games, even. It's a passion for me. As for favorite sports teams and loving your own...
I tried not to get sucked into the GoW hype before it was released, but as I read more about it, I couldn't help it. I'm a huge UT fan, so I'll play anything Cliffy B throws at us. That said, I think the presentation of GoW was excellent, but there was nothing next-gen about it other than its graphics. The controls could've used some minor tweaking. The Y button was completely wasted and mapping more than one function to the A button was a mistake in my humble opinion. I enjoyed it for the ti...
"It looks to have the makings of a major hit, despite having a development group of only a few more than a dozen individuals."
That comment holds no merit. It very well could be a major hit, and I'm really hoping it is, but what "makings" are they talking about? All I've seen is a demonstration of the engine, which is very impressive no less--a solid foundation for any game, of course--but there's still story and gameplay to worry about. We just don't know e...
I'd have to disagree with you there as well. It IS a skill-based game. Especially team games. A disorganized team will get owned by an organized team. 1 person stands a chance against multiple enemies (with skill). Grenade sticks even take skill, unlike in GoW. Yeah, anyone can be good at it, but that goes for anything if one tries to be. There happens to be a lot of good Halo players because Halo has a huge fan base and people have played the daylights out of it. Frankly, I'm glad there's a ...
Thanks for sharing. :D I on the other hand am a fan and this looks like it's shaping up to be a worthy successor.
I love it when people make that comment about someone's work, as if their own time is spent more constructively. Good things take time. That mod looks awesome.
