I agree with all the GoldenEye assumptions. The fourth image definitely resembles the dam from GoldenEye. The dam is the first level in GoldenEye. That comparison shot is even a dead giveaway. I hope it's true. I've been dying for this on XBLA.
I think Activision is milking the franchise. Don't get me wrong, I think Aerosmith is great. Especially before Tyler thrashed his voice. But it's becoming just another Tony Hawk, which in time they'll ruin. I praise Harmonix for parting ways with Activision to pursue Rock Band -- something Activision had no interest in doing. Now you have all this legality mumbo jumbo between Harmonix and Activision regarding something as stupid as compatibility issues, with Activision blocking a patch made b...
Makes you wonder, though. One of the coolest things about that game was the sanity meter. Didn't Nintendo patent that?
The graphical advances in gaming have the FPS genre mostly to thank. It's FPS that continually push video card limitations on PC.
Halo's one of those games that kept its mechanics simple: guns, grenades and melee. And by doing so, it made for some fun gameplay. A lot of FPS incorporate those latter two mechanics into their games, but how many totally rely on them, let alone make it work? In Halo, grenades and melee are just as important and effective as guns. I always say that if you weren't around during Halo 1, enjoying the game with a group of friends over linked Xbox's before the days of Halo via Xbox Live, then you...
Just like your post.
If it helps someone, it's not pointless.
But Miyamoto is certainly no fool, either. He's Nintendo's man, and Atari would've destroyed the video game industry if it weren't for Nintendo. It's just preference. Miyamoto may make an extensive amount of Mario games aimed towards a general audience, but he has plenty of non-Mario games under his belt that have stood the test of time, such as the Zelda series, F-Zero series, Star Fox series, Wave Race, and is credited on other great games, such as Eternal Darkness. Without Miyamoto, I don'...
When's the last time you made a good game?
The industry needs more guys like this.
All the fangirls can disagree all you want, but this whole argument is pretty stupid. Why you decided to argue about which company is bigger in the first place is beyond me. Something to prove, perhaps? Regardless, we're both right in a sense. Who really cares, though? If you're going to argue about something, try doing it intelligently next time, and without childish insults. Hell, and preferably without using Wikipedia as a "reliable" source. Sorry, but there are things on those p...
Sorry, but Wikipedia is hardly a reliable source of information. I'd trust Forbes more than Wikipedia. Come back when you find a better source. And by the way, I'm neither pro M$ or pro Sony. I'm merely pointing out that the child that started this argument is wrong. Sure, Sony is bigger in terms of employees. But compare market values: M$'s 275.85 (billion) opposed to Sony's 52.14, according to Forbes.com. Big difference.
If you're going to make a claim, followed by childish insults, at least have the facts to back it up. By the way, you're wrong.

No God in your world, you mean.
That's what I'm saying. GoldenEye is still a James Bond license. Regardless if Rare owns the rights to the original GoldenEye code, they can't do anything with the actual license because of Activision. As of now, both XBLA and Wii's virtual console are deprived of any kind of port/remake because of this stand-off. Hopefully Nintendo and Microsoft can come to an agreement.
You people find anything and everything to argue about. Who really cares who has what market share? Windows owns over 90% of the operating system market share, but it's not going to stop people like me from using Linux, or an Apple fan from using OS X. It's called "preference." Look it up.
I'm surprised VG Museum and Arcade Flyers didn't make the list. Here's some other good sites:

Rare doesn't own the license. Activision does.
Everything's been rumor and speculation up until now: GoldenEye on XBLA, it being canceled, and even the reasons behind it. I don't think this video is trying to prove that it's still coming, but rather that it does/did exist.
That last paragraph was a touching story, but was it really necessary? Opinions vary. Why even mention someone else dogging on it? Oh, that's right - because they were American. To be fair, though, the "Stupid Brits" comment in the podcast was unnecessary as well. Still, flaming has no place in a review. I want to know about the game, not one's opinion of someone else. Unprofessional journalism all around.
And what would be the point of that? To show everyone how childish you are? If it's not GoldenEye, I'll live. If it is, then I'll be re-experiencing a masterpiece. GoldenEye was one of the greatest games to ever grace a console. I pity the "gamers" that aren't fans. But to each their own.
