An upcoming indie studio? Iron Galaxy has been around since 2008 and have something like 25 games/ports (mostly ports) under their belt. They're kind of like a modern day Acclaim.
The Bloodborne trophy is an odd choice considering it can be obtained in one play-through. Compare that to the numerous trophies from Demon's and Dark Souls that required multiple play-throughs. Bloodborne has some of the easiest trophies in the franchise.
What you're saying has less to do with the mechanic itself and everything to do with the difficulty of the game. I only made the comparison to chess because there's usually several pieces on the board with unique purposes.
TLoU has such a great story that I think a direct sequel would tarnish it. If anything, a prequel would be better, but only if it had nothing to do with the characters in TLoU. They could call it The First of Us. :D I always thought Hometown: Prologue was one of the best parts of the game, and I often wonder what an entire game like that would be like. We're always presented with post-apocalyptic worlds and stories that take place years after the fact (hence "post-apocalyptic")...
It's cool if you like hack-n-slash gameplay, and it looks like that totally works for FFXV (seriously, that looks awesome), but I'd still prefer turn-based for a FF7 remake. The strategy involved in turn-based games is similar to that of chess. And like chess, it's a proven gameplay mechanic that remains timeless. There's absolutely nothing wrong with or outdated about it. Many of us grew up with it and that's what many of us want.
@LordMaim: Storage capacity isn't an issue in the sense that we now have the technology to create ROM chips that can hold ample amounts of data. Of course production costs are still a factor. They always will be.
Production costs aside, haven't you ever wondered what a cartridge would be like in 2015 with the technology we have now? It's an intriguing thought. It's quite possible that they could surpass discs. Imagine zero loading time. Ever since video games ...
I think you missed the point entirely.
The only downside cartridges had back in the day was their capacity (preventing things like CD quality audio) and the cost to produce them. And the former shouldn't be a problem anymore.
With as large as games are now, though, I wonder if cartridges would still have an advantage over discs when it comes to load times.
I personally feel that online capabilities hurt console gaming more than it helped. Not only did it take away the social interaction, but developers use it as a pass to release broken games knowing they can just fix it later.
Don't get me wrong, I've been gaming online via consoles since Dreamcast and I've had my fair share of good times with it, but it pales in comparison to the days when all of your friends/siblings were in the same room together playing GoldenE...
It's funny how many sites have misspelled his name. It's V-O-O-R-H-E-E-S.
It's not like you can take it with you when you die.
Ha, so it is. I guess it would help if I actually read it. Glad to see it on there. :)
The Cerebral Bore from Turok 2.
I'd rather play a video game for 12 hours straight than be one of those people who pass judgment on others 24/7.
They might as well just watch a YouTube video. ;)

Discovery goes up as you level Arcane.
I've played at least one 12+ hour session of Bloodborne, and I never encountered this "memory leak". I wonder if it's related to PS4's suspend/resume feature, which happens to mess up the ability to connect to anyone online until you reboot. The feature seems to negatively effect other games, too.
The title is obviously click bait. We should all know by now that "journalists" focus on the negatives to ruffle feathers and generate hits.
That being said, I couldn't care less if there's only one shield. I'm looking forward to something new.
Pfft. My PSN ID is my full name.
How many of them aren't white? How many of those were lead characters?
That's what I thought.
