I completely agree with Immortal Kaim. So what if HW got the same score as KZ2? They're two different genres. It means absolutely nothing. And besides, I'm a huge fan of both the Halo franchise and the RTS genre but can say without any bias to either that if this weren't a Halo game, it wouldn't be anything spectacular as far as a console RTS is concerned (judging by the demo).
I also happen to be a huge fan of the FPS genre, and the KZ2 demo did nothing for me. But that's just M...
The controls aren't outdated. They're fine for the type of game it is. They just need to be tweaked is all. As I said above, I think what's throwing people off (including me) is the addition of strafing. Being able to strafe while not being able to move and shoot just feels odd and unnatural. Resident Evil is not (and will never be, hopefully) a run and gun. It may not seem like it, but the game's pacing plays a big role in its game play. It would be a completely different game if you were al...
"That's what I've been telling my friends that everything got an upgrade in the game but your ability to fight back."
I think that's the point. One of the goals of Resident Evil is to make you feel vulnerable. That's the way it's always been.
"Faster zombies that can tank more bullets then Dragonskin bullet proof vest. A machete that is more suited for cutting butter then zombies as it doesn't do any damage an a character that controls like an M1A1 Abr...
Unfortunately, Babel Fish doesn't have a translator for Dumb.
I too agree that fanboys are a general problem, but I think a lot of people are missing the point of the article. It's about how Sony fanboys, in this particular situation, are responding to some of these KZ2 reviews. Nothing more. It's quite ridiculous. Even Sessler calls them on it for their 5/5 review. There's plenty to say about fanboys in general, but this is merely the author's take on a situation that's happening as we speak. Everyone not blinded by fanboyism sees it. If you're even re...
"Well if you guys were expecting the gameplay to take you out into orbit and drop you back into earth, obviously that's why you guys will end up a bit disappointed."
Shouldn't we though? If it's truly a next-gen game, I think we should expect nothing less.
"You have to look at it in a different perspective. Judge the game based on what it does well."
Graphics.
"And some of the things it does well is give you that sat...
He didn't say it was "more fun" than Halo. He said it was "as fun as Halo." If you are going to repeat something, make sure you get it right. This is how rumors and hype get started.
Regardless, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
That said...
I wasn't too impressed with the demo. Yes, the graphics are effing amazing and there's tons of things going on at once, which is awesome. But looking past all the eye candy, the control feels ...
Wow, look at all the fanboys go wild. Always amusing to watch.
Of course they're trying to recruit you. No big secret there. But it's not like they're putting a gun to your head and forcing you to join. It's still a pretty solid game regardless. I was sad to see the 360 version get butchered, as it doesn't do the PC version any justice at all. Sadly, I know some people who won't play this game because they're paranoid about giving the Army their info, which is laughable. You can play this game anonymously.
Perhaps they were right when they basically called every PS3 owner a fanboy. Many of you are certainly acting like one. Even when presented with a perfect score for a highly anticipated game from a source such as X-Play, you still can't keep your fanboy remarks to yourselves.
And to those who disagree, yeah, I'm talking to you.
I think people disagree with you because you're a moron. All you do is troll 360 news and jack off to the PS3. You literally sound like a 12-year-old twat that has no clue as to what you're talking about because you're so blinded by your own fanboyism. Some of us are real gamers and our love for games go beyond what console they're on. Generations die. It's the games that live on.
"And yet it will still sell more then KZ2"
If it does, it's because the series has already established a fanbase that isn't based on graphics, a plot worth mentioning and characters fans actually care about. A lot of my friends haven't played many of the RE games, if any, and yet they still want RE5. I think this is kind of sad because if you're not a real fan of the series, why bother playing 5? Because it looks good? You won't have any special attachment to the charac...
No, it doesn't do it for me, because it's still an opinion. A review means nothing to me. Since when are review scores based on facts? It's ALL opinion. Sure, a game may have flaws and the majority may not like it, but it still boils down to opinion. Some people have lower standards than others.
As for AITD, the only solid complaint I heard about it (from friends) was about the controls. As for meta scores (since you care so much), that depends on platform.

If by repetitive gameplay you mean bugs, then I agree. They must have some of the worst game testers in the world.
One could argue by asking you the same question. Where's your evidence? There is none because it's all opinion.
And please, if you're going to use an image of Death from SotN as your avatar, at least do him justice by making it look halfway decent. ;)

Er, titled.
Named after a Genesis album title "Abacab," for those who didn't know.
Bias? Hardly. Do you know how many Sony and Nintendo fanboys there are in America, friend? A lot of people here hate Microsoft, including me, even though I own a Xbox 360. Get your facts straight. This isn't propaganda. It's the truth. Make a female avatar and see for yourself. Don't get all defensive over a negative opinion about something Sony-related. THAT'S bias. This isn't even about Sony directly. If Home were on 360, it would have the same issue.
"BTW any of you guys know goldeneye ?????
it was WAAAAAY before halo and for me the TRUE console fps pioneer. But i bet xbox fans are to blind to admit it."
Please don't generalize groups of people like that. I'm an Xbox fan, a Halo fan, and I was a Goldeneye/Perfect Dark fan before any of that. So no, I'm not too blind to admit that Goldeneye was a console FPS pioneer. But so was Halo, whether you'd like to admit it or not. The keyword here is "console."...
