I play SSB because it allows me to set my intelligence to zero with a couple of friends or family, and falcon punch the crap out of people, laughing like a maniac whilst doing so.
This is the FOURTH attempt at getting this news through, it's been posted and removed 3 times with the focus on "Wii U specs".
The person "leaking" the information has no clue about how hardware works, and as such is not an employee of Ubisoft. Everything he posted is therefore either a lie or known information.
A 6GHz Processor? He's not even trying to hide the fact that he's making it up. A 6GHz Processor would have terrible ...
High clock speed does not make a processor powerful or fast. In fact, a (too) high clock-speed has a negative effect on the performance of your chip.
Optimal speeds that work well with our CPU and Memory architectures lie around 3.0GHz, which is why you don't see 6GHz processors on the shelves, and why this rumour is obviously a lie.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say...?
"How is not possible for Assassins Creed 3 to run at 60fps, with 1080p on the Wii-U"
Because the game is created as a 30fps game, and developers such as Vigil Games have gone on record saying that it's roughly as powerful as the Ps3 and 360.

"And how come the WiiU can't have a ...
This is so obviously fake that it just hurts
A few of the jewels:
"A lot of Dev-kits were sent to Ubisoft
One of them was 4GHz
The 6GHz one was from 3 months ago"
"Ass Creed 3 on Wii-U runs at 60 fps, with 1080p, against 360's and PS3's 720p"
"Graphic card will be a Radeon HD 6770"
"Wii-U's launch price will 450$"
"Wii U has 2GB ...

GRID is not fixing internet latency at all, nor will it ever. The technology is used to limit server side latency, not server-client latency. Also, it's bandwidth, not speed (latency), that you need to have lossless audio and 1080p resolution ;)
I'm with the critics on this one. The technology required to completely replace consoles is just not here yet, nor do I expect to see it any time soon. I also think that Broadband companies won't be ...
I would take any of these rumors with a large bag of salt.
I think it's highly unlikely that ps4 and Xbox 720 will be using off-the-shelf AMD components, or even highly modified ones. Sony in particular has worked a lot with IBM over the years, so why drop them and lose backward compatibility for Ps3 software?
T900
That's a pretty poor attempt at a come back. Going from a misread quote and a source, you go to mindless jabbering about something which you clearly know nothing about. And misspelling my name is rather disrespectful, so please be a bit more mature.
So let's clear it up.
The Cell is _not_ a hybrid GPU and CPU. It was always a CPU that was thought to be able to replace the GPU as it was a CPU able to perform the tasks of a GPU rat...
T900, I don't think you read your own quote correctly:
"We asked NVIDIA how long it would take until we saw a GPU faster than the RSX. "
Cell is not a GPU, and Cell is not the RSX.
Frankly, I don't give a damn about Sony. I'm more interested in the technicalities behind consoles and hardware, and Cell was the most powerful processor of its time.
@fossilfern
You got it the wrong way around ;) The Cell was originally supposed to be the only processor in the Ps3. It later turned out that it wasn't quite as capable in graphics as they had hoped for, and as such they added the RSX to the spec, so that some of the graphics could be offloaded to that.
There's two major reasons for Sony to include the Cell Processor in their next console:
1. An evolved version of the processor is lik...
Ps3 already supports mods (Portal 2, Unreal Tournament 3 come to mind)... It's the developers that don't ;)
The Cell processor isn't developer "unfriendly". It was just a new piece of hardware that many developers were unfamiliar with. Regardless, it was the most powerful processor of its time, and can still do some amazing things when used in the right way.
I would be surprised if Sony would go with the 'leaked' architecture. If anything, I believe the 'leak' was just someone looking for attention.
it looks more like an iPad pretending it's a controller to me.
When Nintendo announced the Wii Controller, I could see the appeal in it. Same goes for Kinect and Playstation Move.
But this? I honestly don't see how this controller would be any fun to play with at all. It's just too bulky..
Journalist Rules:
1. Do your research
2. Be objective
3. Proof Read your articles
4. Create titles that are concise and accurate
Although these are just a subset of the rules, these are the major ones that you as a journalist need to follow. You broke 3 of them (1,2 and 4) on several places in a single article.
@inveni0
Actually I'm a Computer Science graduate (there's a lot more to an algorithm than time and memory performance), I just used a dumb, simple (but feasible, as sorting algorithms are used A LOT in games, or any software for that matter) example to make it understandable for someone who has no demonstrated prior knowledge in the field.
"But that's a horrid example, because we can go back 40 years and find computers the size of a 20,000 ...
@inveni0
That's not completely right. You're right that you can't make a console output 2048x1024 if it only has a physical maximum resolution of 1280x1024. But that doesn't mean the console is maxed out when you run it at 1280x1024. I could make a pacman game that runs at that resolution, and to be clear I could make it use 'all the features of Ps3', but that doesn't mean it maxes out the hardware.
A lot of it comes down to what y...
Hm I don't even fully believe these are real. It seems quite off that a lot of the models didn't have animations in the video. It kind-of gives the idea that this is just some random artist pretending he's leaking this stuff.
Well, since Peter Molyneux says it's true, it must be..
Great article by the way lol.
