"when you are looking forward you can’t see what’s behind you so why utilize so much power and texturing and overall quality with the things you can’t see on screen, why not show the power when your able to see the power and that’s the secret to the success. "
That's what he calls a development trick, but from my understanding of game development that's exactly what every game does. It only renders the screen, thus in other words , it renders exactly what you see as a...
Ps3 too complex haha, coming from a development who has a programmer who loves to call himself the best, but he says ps3 is too complex, while Naughty Dog gets results there that I haven't seen on any other platform besides PC? I'm sorry, but that's just lazy, too lazy to learn how to develop for a different platform. Guess that same attitude got Gabe fat in the first place, lol.
Are you kidding me? If it's such a party machine, how come all the exclusive titles have this distinctive lack of offline multiplayer? Sure there's the psn games, but that's pretty much where it stops.
Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Motorstorm 1, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ratchet and Clank, and Resistance went down from 4 player splitscreen to 2 player splitscreen. It's less and less common for games to have this important feature, especially on PS3, so don't go around and tell people that...
It's a misconception that Sony's hardware is more reliable then Microsofts? It's a misconception that 1% is much less then 40% ?
Oh my god, all these years I've been fooled by Sony telling me that 1% is less then 40%, while the truth is that it's much more! Thank you for enlightening me and showing me the truth, GamezTrafic!
As long as there's 4 player split-screen in this one, it's a buy for me. Bots would be a plus too although not a neccety. Since Sony's refusing to develop split-screen games, I better hop in on the third party bandwagon.
It was added to any game that was on Ps3 since a month back, it's intention was to make the Ps3 stand out more against the 360 logo. A slim line is almost invisible , certainly if it contains many letters, leading some people to believe that certain games were 360 exclusive when they weren't.
Regardless of the 6 weeks more or less, I've never seen an open world game without such problems.. They're quite common, and small bugs in collision detection. Hard to keep track of an entire city where you have to detect millions of collisions from one building to another, certainly with the inclusion of climbing them.
If it's not, kudos to them, but to me it seems the physics and visuals (animations can be pre-set in realtime footage, so that one doesn't really count) shown in that video are just way to advanced for a multiplatform title. Although, I could believe it for a PC game.
This press release only contained information about PAL regions because it was a press release from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Whether or not a deal was reached in the american territory is yet to be seen, even though I doubt it, it should still not be considered as a fact but rather speculation.
Somehow this game gives me a Final Fantasy IX vibe, although I can't exactly place why that is.
Because the only question that matters to me regarding the multiplayer of this game is:
Will there be splitscreen? If not I won't even touch the multiplayer, getting tired of games lacking splitscreen. Hated it with Motorstorm, even more with Killzone 2. Seems to be an increasing trend and I want it to stop.
Yeah, we can assume that Final Fantasy XIII will look and run as good on 360 as on Ps3, because Square Enix' track record with 360 games (Last Remnant for example) shows how amazing they are at developing for the platform. /sarcasm
It's worth noting that development for 360 isn't even in the planning stage for FFXIII, they're first finishing the game for Ps3, and after that they're going to look what they can do for the 360, it's a secondary platform on every regard, right now ...
Just noticed that if you look on the topside of the picture, in the middle, there's something out of place. It's a 7... Any idea what that might mean ?
Beon Compleanno DaVinci is written on the little sign to the right, means Happy Birthday DaVinci. A date is written under it, can't read what it says.
So it's ok to take someones life against their will in nearly every game (which I'm sure isn't something those people would like), but it's not ok to have one game that's about having sex with someone against their will?
I wonder which is worse.. Games make both look so easy.
Killzone 2, one more negative article about the game by no other then Nightly Gamer.. again. This editor must really hate Killzone 2 for living up to the hype, since he's been bashing almost every aspect of the game, even the commercial.
... Why am I not surprised? I think the editor of that site should take a look on N4G and read the article that tells about putting it to a rest and accepting that Killzone 2 is a good game. NG is going as far as bashing the commercial (which gets me hyped by the way) in order to pull down Killzone 2.. Sad attempt, and most certainly no news. Articles like this one usually didn't even get through on N4G till it was bought by the current owner :/
It's Data-Fly
then I wonder why they created the placeholder cover for Ps3.. you know, the image? And listed it under two seperate sections.
