I would consider it censorship more so if the Japanese version of the game had cleavage, yet the Western version didn't. This is more like they chose to design the character a bit differently to make it more acceptable for the audience they're targeting. I'm not keen on censorship, as it diminishes what the game was meant to be, but this is different. If anything, Nintendo has been pretty good with letting developers release their games as they're supposed to be lately.
I can see a multitude of reasons for not wanting to play a game, but lack of achievements? lol
I think so! I hope they continue. KotOR would be awesome.
Nintendo definitely had a better presentation. That, and sprite artwork has aged a hell of alot better than early 3D games have lol. I can still play Chrono Trigger, Link to the Past or games like Secret of Mana and Terranigma and find myself enchanted by the artwork and animation. FF7 is hard to play these days xD
(Should have been FF9 anyways)
I mean, the SNES classic came with Link to the Past, FF6, Super Mario RPG, Earthbound AND Secret of Mana. Those are all some of th...
Sony published Legend of Dragoon, that should have been on there too. The games they chose for the classic, the user interface and menu, the controller, and using PAL versions of the game just all scream lack of wanting to invest any money or effort into it. I really want to see a teardown of the chip they're using in the system.
I can't see a PS2 classic happening anytime soon. Considering that they used an open-source emulator for the PS Classic, the price point to include storage, hardware that can actually run the games decently, and the games itself would be very expensive. Again, better off just buying the games on PS4 if they're available. That, AND, open source PS2 emulation isn't that great in the first place. It's very high level emulation (meaning the games are basically hacked into working ...
Don't do it. Half the games are PAL versions of the game, running at 50Hz, meaning they are slower than the games you remember playing. The presentation on it, menu screens, etc, is absolute crap. Sony outsourced this, used an open source emulator (PCSX) anyone can download, didn't give a shit, and whoever made it didn't care either. Cancel your preorder unless you think you can scalp it, or want to hack it. I loved the PS1, but this is just about the worst way you could remember ...
At that point, why not just get build a good PC and get a Vive?
You could, yes, but Nintendo made it very easy and put that feature into its identity. The dock is fast and easy. Slide it in, it's charging and immediately outputting HDMI. Click on the joycons, you're good to go after. Presentation is very important.
Cartridges are well suited for portable gaming. There are less moving parts, and it is more energy efficient. Longer battery life, more durable, less expensive on the hardware end. I wonder how pissed people would be if Sony went the Switch route for the PS5, hosting a less powerful platform lol.
As a side note, yes, I did pre-order and pay for a separate copy; I buy games I like/want to support and play on a clean system.
It can; I'm playing it right now lol.
It costs alot of money to deliver the the graphics and production values that consumers tend to spend the most money on. This is why we see AAA games playing it safe, because if they try something new, outside of what market research shows to be proven success, they could be out tens of millions of dollars or more if it doesn't prove to be successful. We're watching AAA gaming implode right now, with major publishers saying they're dissatisfied with well known and established fran...
E3 is just tradition at this point. It's like celebrating Christmas when you have no children in the family, and aren't religious. You used to NEED the media coverage there to connect with your audience, but this day and age, you're just there because "It's E3 and gamers look forward to it". Sony will be fine without E3. They can release info on any game, any time of the year, and gamers will know everything about it from Reddit/Youtube/etc within a couple hours. Mos...
How does PS4 being a great home console take away from wanting to own a Switch? It's possible to have and enjoy both. Unless income is too limited, you're missing out every gen by only having one console.
The Switch is a great piece of mobile technology. People forget it's running off a mobile chip and still out performs other devices that are more than 3 times as expensive. Some people play video games because they want to have FUN. I have a PC, I have a Xbox One X, and a Switch (along with many retro consoles from just about every gen), and I play it all the time. If anything, I admire their willingness to try different things each gen rather than just tossing a PC in a box. The reason p...
Japan doesn't buy very many Western games. Vastly different cultures and tastes.
I have two, and I love both of them. One I have hacked, and have it filled to the brim with emulators and roms, and test out games I'm hesitant on buying. The other, I keep legit so I can still play online with friends. If you like indies, Japanese games and Nintendo first party, it's a no brainer. That's the great thing about gaming though, there are so many different kinds of genres for everyone, and that's cool. I personally have grown very tired of western style, open worl...
I'm loving the new Pokemon; It's fun as hell.
I'd rather just play 4. All the DLC has been been made free on multiple occassions, and it's still fun.
