If you don't plan on selling your games, or buying physical, then it's a great value. It's a similar service to Netflix, Spotify or Hulu. You don't own anything on those platforms, but to millions of people, it's worth the price.

Game Pass is great. Worth it this month for Ashen alone.

Tried playing on base Xbox One, and the frame rate gets so choppy that it's dizzying to look at. Not a very well optimized game.

I believe that Nintendo has been the highest selling publisher for the entire year so far. This is across multiple platforms and many games however.

There's going to be a point where the Switch will need a really nice price drop to become appealing to people that don't already own one. That will also boost software sales significantly, because there are titles like Smash, and Zelda, which almost every Switch owner will eventually purchase.

I love Smash, but best there is is subjective lol. People will say the same about Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.

I gave my Wii U to my friend's kids with the expectation that I'd be able to play the games again on Switch. Good Wii U games deserve the second chance to reach more people, for sure.

I do not think that "everybody" can run Cemu games at 4k lol. Also, I know people that love Nintendo games, that avoided the Wii U like the plague. I enjoyed the games, but there's no denying that it was not a good console for many.

It'd be interesting for sure, but it would probably be out of place on the console. RDR2 isn't exactly known for its amazing gameplay, but for the immersive, cinematic experience, which would unfortunately be lost upon the Switch. I love my Switch, but even if the game could run on it, I can't imagine it being a great experience in handheld mode. It'd be really cool to see Rockstar make a smaller scale GTA game on Switch like Chinatown Wars, which was quite enjoyable. Imagine ...

Great game for people who never owned a Wii U, which was pretty much everyone lol. I'm still hoping for Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD on Switch, would love to see it. Hell, fix the flaws with Devil's Third and release that again too; That game had potential.

The great thing about Smash is that you can treat it as a fun party game, with 4 or more players, items on, stages with hazards, etc, but in a one on one setting, limited stock on competetive stages, Smash becomes a very deep and competitive fighting game.

Battlefield is for people that enjoy the large maps, high player counts and objective play. Problem is that it hasn't been good since Battlefield 4. That's still a great game and there aren't many shooter experiences like it. Also, the market is so inundated with great shooters. I still play Overwatch, Halo MCC and Battlefield 4 end enjoy them. Where's the time to add something else into rotation on top of single player games? Time and money available are factors. I'm work...

It's still going to be Monster Hunter lol. Snow just means needing Heat Potions xD

Monster Hunter games demand a good deal of learning and patience, but it is a very unique and amazing series. World is very accessible though.

The end game jewels ARE incredibly grindy, but I doubt they'll be necessary to get through the new content and G rank, which will most likely have more powerful gear anyways. Until you get to that endgame and have to grind for jewels all over again xD
At that point though, unless they include some sort of pvp, which has never happened, there's not much point to it if you can already easily kill everything. Just reflect on your time with it and wait for the next game to do it ...

At some point, if they feel like they can deliver (and want to) a great game, it'd be foolish not to return to Witcher. They'd make so much money.

Holy crap I am agreeing with you lol.

I think that's only the first time you're playing a story mission. On story missions, they can't even join on you if they haven't gotten to that mission yet themselves. On any other regular hunt/grinding, you can depart together. I think it's to ensure that you're actually going through the story and not skipping over or getting carried, which is still easy to do in other hunts.

I've had the same thought, it would be incredible to see what they could create from the ground up.

It's much harder to produce scares in a third person, over-the-shoulder perspective. Not that it's impossible, just difficult. RE4 was scary due to the tension it created in multiple ways. With many classic horror games, the cameras were fixed. One, it was partly due to technical limitations, but the main purpose was that you control exactly what the player sees and experiences at any given time. It was effective, but not very well received today in modern games due to the awkward con...
