I've been using the kick stand all day, and it kicks ass.
Not even near the same. Witcher 3 had absolute fantastic storytelling and lore, and I feel like its greatest accomplishment was creating a believable world. BotW, on the other hand, is a complete physics sandbox, and I can guarantee has much, much better gameplay and combat.
Not the same. BotW is tied for 2nd highest rated game of all time on metacritic right now, and will probably be 2nd on the list after user reviews come out. Beaten only by Ocarina of Time in 1st place, which only had 1/3 of the total reviews for BotW. Quite the accomplishment. Again, every game that has official reviews, ever.
Nintendo showing that when they truly put their all into a game, they end up raising the standard of excellence for the entire industry. I can't wait to play this on Friday! I'll admit, I'm trying not to tear up watching some of the video reviews xD
Is that why most reviewing publications are already calling it possibly one of the greatest games ever made? Boo this man!
There's 30 different reviewers rating it as 100 on Metacritic right now, but yeah, totally overrated. /s
So many perfect scores! We are baring witness to one of the best reviewed games in history ladies and gentlemen :P
Way to advocate piracy.
Well, then, it was essential, as is "if you like video games and possess a Wii, this is an essential purchase." And it was. It was one of the best games to be released for the console. People downplay some of the strong titles the Wii actually had.
Twilight Princess was probably the worst main series Zelda game, and it was STILL an incredible game.
Well, it's not like the same reviewers scored every single one of those games.
After I played Skyward Sword, I questioned how Nintendo would ever be able to make another Zelda with traditional controls. The game had problems with hand holding, but its brilliance shown through regardless. I absolutely loved it.
You weren't alive when the N64 launched with only two games?
True, but there's no denying that the Gamecube was an absolute gem of a console looking back now.
My Xbox is getting sad. Switch is coming out on Friday, and I'll be spending alot of time with that as well. On the plus side, I expect lots of good Games with Gold, Xbox digital sales and new BC games to pump out to at least attempt to bring interest.
You have to keep your expectations in line with the hardware. Would you say a 3DS or Vita game sucked because it doesn't look as good as Horizon? Hopefully not. I mean, shit, most Xbox One multiplats look like garbage compared to their PS4 counterparts, but it doesn't make the games any less enjoyable to me. Case in point: I think the best game I've played in the last year is probably Inside. Great graphics are nice to looks at, but a great game they do not make. I would prefer, i...
You don't go back and play old games every so often? I replay SNES and PSX games all the time when I get the urge to. Sometimes you really just need to play through FFIX or Chrono Trigger again. I'm playing Skyward Sword at this moment, keeping myself hyped for BotW lol.
Word. My 3DS has far less processing power than a mid-range smart phone, and I've put thousands of hours into it.
To be fair, Nintendo hasn't really had 3rd party support after the SNES, and they've continued on just fine.
It just released today, and people have been excited for this game since it won best of E3. Remember that? I've been playing it all day on the Switch. It's almost overwhelming its so good.
