Did you know the Gamecube only had 661 games released for it worldwide, and the Nintendo 64 a much smaller 388? Nintendo's game libraries for their consoles have never been overly large compared to the competition, yet still, the company manages to remain profitable, and the software looked back upon fondly. Other people have been pissed at Nintendo since the N64 was initially revealed and haven't stopped since.

Word! Looking forward to the continuation of their DLC and next title.

I own multiple consoles and a PC, and I'm pretty damn excited to be holding the Switch in my hands in a month.

The controls for that game were SO GOOD. Aiming felt great, although it did make it a tad too easy, even on professional mode. So satisfying though xD

You got special items for beating the original resident evil games in under 2 hours. It's always been a pretty short single player experience. You can speed through 4 in less than 10, doesn't mean you can't get more than 40 hours out of the game though.

I'll pick it up eventually. In my ancient age of 30, I've learned to not spend $60 on games unless it's something I really, really want. There's hundreds of games to play. Prices will drop. The game will probably have decent legs.

I hope that Nintendo sticks with one piece of hardware going forward, so that the userbases and software titles aren't split between them. Mobile and battery technology are only going to get more advanced.

Dammit.

I don't know if it's ever going to be released, but look up a title called Heartforth Alicia. It looks fantastic.

I do agree that marketing it as a home console is a very bad move. The docking station is basically a glorified hdmi cable and charger. If the actual console that does all the work is something you can play on the go, in your hands, and has its own screen, well then, that's a handheld console.

Depends if they'll move production for 3DS level games to the console as well. 3DS is much weaker than most mid-range phones, and has had excellent software support.

I said above as well, there's actually much that's lost in an audio dub. You can't just translate the words directly to English and then speak those instead. It won't work the with timing of the scenes, or with the mouth movements in many cases. There are usually pretty significant dialogue changes in dubbed video games/anime/movies. That and the voice director may have a completely different view on how the characters are supposed to be opposed to the original creators. Imagi...

I really, really hope they change this. I'm gonna play the hell out of the game anyways, but unless the voice talent is superb, dubbed audio bothers the ever living hell out of me.

With original audio and subtitles, language barriers aside, what you're getting is as close to an uncompromised artistic vision as possible. When dealing with dubbed audio of any medium, there are usually script changes to match scene timing, culture differences and mouth movements, as well as a different studio and directors deciding who gets chosen for voice acting themselves, and how they will deliver lines, resulting in characters being quite possibly very different from what their cr...

If Nintendo sticks with one device going forward, I don't think there will be any shortage of games. The 3DS has a fantastic library, and if the Switch begins to sell, there will be tons of handheld level games being made, as well as Nintendo internal developers not having to split resources between two platforms. Do I expect PS4 and Xbox multiplats? Absolutely not, but I also know that by the end of the Switch's lifetime, it will have amassed a great library of games to play.

Of course it was a technical showcase; Mario 64 showed the industry how to make adventure games in 3D work. We're reaching a point where almost everything has been done, until new technology is developed, and VR and AI really advance.

This article is discussing launch titles. N64 launched with two titles. Not fantastic. The SNES also only launched with 3, which I think actually shows that a console's initial launch isn't nearly as important as people think.

Everyone wants new games, but there's no denying that BC is a great feature. Due to how my life was at the time, I missed out on many games from the last gen, which I get to play now.

Damn, I filled almost 3 TB on my Xbox in the last year...

Once the parts used in manufacturing become cheaper, the price will most certainly drop, as is the case with every console after launch. If Nintendo's plan is to go with one piece of hardware this time around instead of two, I imagine they will support the Switch for a good 5 to 6 years if it sells well.
