It's not for everyone. If you want a rich, deep, very challenging and rewarding experience, Monster Hunter is for you. I would recommend it to fans of the Souls series.
I laughed, but that was mean lol. The Switch is a great console xD
They're salty the game even came to other platforms in the first place.
I think it will get patched. The last time Monster Hunter was on a home console before now was 2009. There was bound to be some kinks to iron out, considering the team has been working on much smaller handheld titles for years.
Some people think every game should be on PS4 only.
Xbox here, can't even connect to people on my friends list atm.
Amazon is already destroying the retail industry.
You can turn down the volume on that on the menus.
For followup, I imagine it's going to be easier to pair up with people online due to the availability of voice chat. You can also go through the entire single player experience alone, but for endgame hunts, and fun factor, partnering with others is definitely the best way to play. If you like games like Dark Souls (don't worry, it's not as dark; It's just all I can really compare it to), Monster Hunter should be for you.
The older games introduce you to the mechanics slowly, but they are very dense, and most certainly require a wiki to make fast progress. World seems to have the goal of being slightly more accessible with the information it provides players. Monster Hunter is definitely a hardcore series.
It's unfortunate, but I'm sure that there will be a Switch exclusive Monster Hunter as well. The series has done very well with Nintendo since Monster Hunter 3 on 3DS (Tri before that, but it didn't sell so well), and there's a large userbase used to playing handheld Monster Hunter titles that are very hungry for a release.
Yeah, me loving the game was simply due to convincing myself to play a crappy game nonstop, right?
I'm sorry, the 2D section in New Donk city, while Pauline is singing is one of the finest moments that's ever happened in a video game. The fact that Nintendo can slap together so many ideas and have it work so seamlessly when it shouldn't work at all is a testament to brilliant game design, not a detriment.
I play Super Nintendo and N64/PS1 games all the time, and replay my favorite RPGs every few years or so.
Kinda, with map packs and whatnot, but you can't really compare a game like Halo 3 with Destiny 2. That game was iconic.
I'd argue that the Fierce Deity is a god that's taken possession of a body, not really Link himself. That said, strongest physically, Link from OoT with Golden Gauntlets: https://i.warosu.org/data/v...
I always find it kind of insane that people tend to lump every fan of a console together like they're all one person or hivemind. Don't you find that mindset a bit schizophrenic? There's nothing wrong with remasters. Gives a new generation a chance to play a superior version of a game, and fills out the library at minimal cost to developers and publishers. Wins for everyone. If consoles going forward remain backwards compatible, or run on the same operating system(like I expect Xb...
It's a really good (and incredibly difficult) game that not many people played. Porting Wii U games ever is a smart and obvious decision. I'm still hoping for a Zelda two-pack consisting of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, and Smash 4 Deluxe.
Gabbo, Gabbo, GABBO!
Honestly, the way the combat works in the game is probably the closest thing you can compare it to. Demands patience, enemy understanding and greatly punishes mistakes.
