I would buy a new CoD game on the Switch in a heartbeat, even just to support it. WWII wasn't bad at all, and I've hated the series since Ghosts released.
Also, Black Ops 2 on Wii U was awesome with wiimote controls.
I believe a Nintendo Switch 2 (which is what they should absolutely call it), with full backwards compatibility would probably make the most sense, unless the gaming market shifts towards cloud processing.
The Wii U flopped, but Nintendo has shipped 72 million 3DS units worldwide. There is a huge market for those kinds of handheld games still, which will most likely all appear on the Switch.
Probably not. Twenty years ago was the PS1/N64. Look at what we have now. In another twenty years, games will probably be completely created by AI specified to our desires.
That doesn't make sense to deliberately brick a system though. You lose customer faith and software sales. Nintendo wants people who own their systems to continue to buy games. Bricking a system on purpose serves no purpose.
I'd like to see a modified SS, removing much of the hand holding, streamlining some of it, and world changes such as loading the entire Skyloft at once, so hopping on a bird is seamless instead of going to a loading screen. Perhaps even a new lighting engine like WW HD had. The story and artwork in SS are beautiful, and with some minor changes to alleviate the flaws, could easily be one of the best Zelda games.
As an Xbox owner, I'm incredibly disappointed in the quality of exclusive games lately. Fable Legends and Scalebound were canceled, Crackdown 3 is too quiet, and Sea of Thieves hardly seems to be much of a game at all. If I didn't have so much digital content, I'd probably switch to another console at this point. Very much hoping that Halo 6 is shown at E3, and that it looks great.
Never forget Dead Space and Skate! Both studios shut down by EA.
They were done a long time ago; Why do you think Nintendo decided to pass on buying them outright?
Think about where this is going to be in ten years.
Easy. Metroid, Bayonetta 3, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Smash footage. Top it off with a Fortnite announcement.
I dare to dream of a remake or sequel to Link's Awakening.
Also, I feel like "stealing" the show is a pretty clickbaity title. They don't need to "win" anything, just represent the brand as best as possible and drum up consumer and fan interest.
Actually, the Fire Emblem series was almost completely unknown in the US until Marth and Roy appeared on Brawl. Not that having a character in a game is going to make a huge sales difference, but it is definitely a form of advertisement. For instance, Geralt in Soul Calibur is more than just fan service. Soul Calibur fans may be more willing to try Witcher 3 if they haven't already, and for big fans of the Witcher series, it might make them more inclined to pick up a copy of Soul Calibur....
At this point, Vegeta has more of a human heart than Goku does. Becoming a husband and father has tamed him, while Goku, since birth, was always almost akin to a wild animal. Although Super is pretty garbage in general.
There was a Batman/TMNT crossover recently, and was one of the best comics I've read in awhile.
The Switch is much more powerful than last gen consoles, and weighs about a total of 10 ounces. My phone is almost as big as it. It's a pretty impressive device. That being said, I think the big 3 hardware manufacturers all have their own place. Consumers want both high fidelity graphics and to play on big TVs, and also others want portable experiences. No need for Sony to not stay the course; They're doing great. Just because the Switch isn't as powerful as dedicated home console...
Personally don't like gaming on anything bigger than a 27" monitor. I don't even own a TV lol. TV sucks.
Also, he was developing two versions of the game simultaneously. No need to reinvent the wheel when the engine and animation and many textures are already there. Enhance the visual effects, game play tweaks, make it a bit more competitive, new characters are all that's really needed.
The PS4 supports supersampling now, so it's a better option even without a 4k tv if it's affordable to you.
For those who do not know, supersampling is basically running the game at higher resolutions, and then compressing that image to a lower one for better image quality, anti-aliasing, etc.
