I seriously can't believe people thought $15 a month for a game, even a good one, was worth it, on top of purchasing expansions and the base game.
@Shaggy2303
Maybe, respond to him then and discuss it.
A patch will still have benefits. But, will not alter the game drastically if it's built for the older platform. A developer isn't gonna build a PS5 fidelity game and easily be able to lessen everything for the old platform. It's not actually that simple. It takes a lot of effort to compile builds, diagnose performance and graphical changes, and to do quality assurance and have artists do ...
Why would they remake them? PS5 can play PS4 games and if those games have a pro patch or PS5 patch they will have updated resolution and framerate.
@Shaggy2303
Yeah, just remove the major features that defined the game. Amazing idea.
Not even XBox fans want you here.
I'm happy they gave us great games consistently throughout the generation.
Sweeney said there is no secret deal on Twitter. Just debuted the engine on PS5 because of Sony's involvement with the tech and their PS5.
@alb1899
This video was debunked as taken out of context and not an actual demo running. They are discussing other information and watching a video on the laptop, hence the ".MP4" on screen.
On top of this faked info. Where would you even get the unplugged info from? Where did you conjure this up from?
They mentioned 40fps as a target to hit to maintain at least 30fps for an acceptable framerate on PC hardware. 30fps with VSyn...
"one of the priority countries for the delivery of machines at the end of the year."
Pretty sure the US is one as well. France isn't number one priority. Just one of many
Didn't they do an unboxing video for XBox One at launch? I always enjoy watching an unboxing experience. I wonder how this one will be
That's not that simple to just have two game engines. That would require a whole other studio to outsource work to handle that. Realistically, they can use a next-gen game engine on the current XBox and just not use all the features. This is why it's so important that Sony has been deeply refining their game engines this whole generation. Their engines are ready for next-gen enhancements. The issue with developing for last gen is having to design data usage around old hardware, which ...
@Neonridr
- "but the SSD was never the driving force behind the way a game looked or played."
I really advise reading developer interviews about this topic. Why would devs number one request be SSD's if they do nothing for games aside from loading screens, according to many here.
- "if you install a game on a base HDD, SSD or M2 NVMe, the game doesn't change."
Because, the game was designed for HDD...
@chiefJohn117
- "They never launched the console with those drm policies."
The console required an internet connection in order to update and turn off the DRM-focused always online requirement. It did launch with this, and they still launched with Kinect-required hardware saying it couldn't be switched off.
- "Sony planned to do it too"
Prove it. And do note, that *planning* to do something and some...
We will have to see what their game designs are for next gen. They might be far too demanding for the current console in terms of gameplay elements and mechanics. They gave an incredible generation and have been consistent. I think they've earned the right to build games to take advantage of the massive generational leap. Gamers will know the games are worth it.
@Kabaneri
"Consoles are rarely utilized to their full potential in the first two years."
Show me launch ps2 games that looked like late PS1 games. Launch PS3 games that look like late PS3 games. Even launch PS4 games had drastically more effects, level size, polygon count, and resolution, but this generations consoles were very underpowered, unlike other generations before it.
Not utilizing *full* potential means nothing. Ther...
Who said that?
@Shaggy2303
It's not a loading screen. So, stop talking about it. You're just trying to start a discussion with a potential negative aspect to it. Do you really think you made criticism? What are you criticising? Something that doesn't exist? Trying to find negativity in a demo that has pacing and a sense of adventure and realistic environments? Cause it had a narrow passage?
You really expect everything to be handed to you? A wide open entran...
@Software_Lover
Well, people will use every grain of sand they find as a reason to compare so it's not totally unbelievable to think someone would bring all that up, lol.
You do know.. They don't have to reveal it EXACTLY like the PS4, right? It's not EXACTLY the same. It's LIKE that reveal. Your facts are just taking it too literally.
" I remember paying for Xbox live and having
Sony fans make fun of the cost to play online".
Well, yeah. You paid just for the privilege to access online with your own internet connection, hosted multiplayer matches on your own XBox, even high profile exclusives lacked dedicated servers and had the user paying MS only to host it on their home internet, with a pay wall to use other services like Netflix. Your Live payment was literally used to funnel milli...
