"we looked at a lot of titles in a lot of depth - we found that going to 14 CUs wasn't as effective as the 6.6 per cent clock upgrade that we did."

Funny how relevant this statement is to right now. But, they covered X1 a lot trying to shine positivity on being a" balanced" system and avoiding ca...

They get excited when the 1X has the superior version. When ps4 was superior at launch, it was just, oh, its better as expected, carry on. When 1x has a worse version, they point out disappointment in effort. If PS4 didn't have a better multiplat, it was just, the base xbox performs just as well, interesting. No pointing out disappointment in using the better hardware. It didn't matter then and wasn't consistently brought up that it was superior. They s...

Here's the thing about RDNA2. AMD listed these features that are standard and come with RDNA2. They make RDNA2 what it is, because yse it's mainly just an architecture refresh but with new features as standard. So, being a technical channel, they should know that these features are on the PS5 because it's an RDNA2 chip. They said so by listing RDNA2 in consoles, and the features of having RDNA2. We know they haven't shown it. That doesn't mean i...

I think I remember on launch day, puttung a usb in to modify your levels and unlockables. Within launch week, cheats from a usb.

@Shaggy2303

Who said VR?

And VR is already high refresh rate if you didn't know.

@Razmiran

Well, if this combat directly improves on FF15 I just see an easy comparison of why it makes sense for open world. I know it's got more linear pathways in Midgar, but that would make sense because it's such a dense place. I don't want the cities to be made bigger just to take more steps. But, the vehicles, the terrain we couldn't pass before, the secrets, optional places to go. I'm not mad about the new combat. But, the open world is extremely ...

@Razmiran

But, why would you be confident in no open world? What would it gain from that? Why would FFXV get open world but not FF7? I can't see any reason why. Oh, you could always say "it's easier". But, that would have been easier for several open world games. Vice versa. You don't make it open world because it's challenging. You do it because that's the kind of game it is. You think the weapons will be a linear thing now? Warping to previou...

If it doesn't have open world, especially after Ff15 had an open world, then it's going to get extreme backlash. I think that they didn't end with Midgar not just because it works with the expanded story, but also because next gen hardware is needed to push the scale of the open world game the way we all want. FF7 without an open is a huge no. There are many points where you revisit and it needs to be the same way as before. Crossing terrain, caverns, ...

I wonder if Remake pt 2 will be on current gen. It is a ways off, and the open world will benefit a ton and work amazing on next gen hardware. The corridor sections that were slow to help load background assets, and the scale of the world. Imagine getting in the submarine. Seeing those amazing ravines and the weapon in such high fidelity.

They are. They cover Sony missteps and gloss of MS ones with a quick mention. Didn't push the difference in resolution and performance hickups for XBox One early gen, but are all over the One X being a better performer now, when it wasn't a big deal when PS4 had the edge. Also, the amount of events and info that MS provides them brings a lot more income. I still remember the even smaller PS3 vs 360 differences they covered when PS3 had worse multiplats.

They're ...

Ray-Tracing, better background details, mirror reflections, and hopefully pushing to 90-100fps at least on VRR. I'd love over 60fps and racing games can handle it, but we'll have to wait and see depending on the level of Ray-tracing

100%. BloodBorne was something else. I'd be interested to see if, in the future, developers revisit these games that had sold millions and millions with a dlc expansion. From here out, we should have every game work on newer consoles. I understand interest and hype died down. But, would an exciting expansion draw previous players back and bring new ones in?

That's the issue with CoD. It uses such an old engine. Cheaters even appear day one

BuT iTz oPtIoNaL!

I miss games coming packed with player skins and gear. Like, if tony hawks underground launched today we'd have a few basic things, and then a crap load of things sold to us and advertised on a dashboard that makes us know we can buy things

I can't wait to see the weapons and explore the world. Next gen gives us a lot of hope for delivering on grand scale.

Some of the combinations in the original were so crazy. I can't wait to see what they do

I don't think we will get the really awesome materia combinations we used to have though. I'm curious how far the next games will go to keep combat engaging throughout

I wish they'd at least have remastered it! Updated maps, images, cutscenes, and models. I know it's a big game, but modders have done some of that work over 10 years ago. Just something better to look at.

I'd like to seek clarification on the "fetch" quests. Are their important quests that you must complete to progress that are fetch quests? Because, if they are optional, then sure it's annoying and worth a complaint, but optional content is far less serious and is understandable to have a few.

That makes no sense. The DS4 has pressure sensitive buttons, higher sensitivity analogs and triggers, more hardware packed in, and is built very solid. The XBox controller is just unnecessarily heavy for what it is, which shows it's cheap, and that is a given that it is cheaply built(not that it's bad quality, but it's manufacturing cost must be quite low). Not just MS controllers, but 3rd party controllers sell far better on XBox than other platforms. So, there is a major social ...
