Are they limiting this to the Windows 10 edition only? I installed the Java one but my latest client update prevented it from worling so now I'll have to reinstall it manually again
I've been wanting one since it came out. I've been very happy with the OG one, but I could see immediately how it would evolve. Just imagine a 1080p/90hz OLED in your hands and the power to push 60fps in demanding games. We're able to do it right now, and phones are marked up considerably higher than their manufacturing cost. This could come out as a big update to a guaranteed selling product. And with DLSS improvements, it could be amazing.
But, we have similar titles on console that are several years old like XCom and Divinity II. Turn based free movement isn't new to console. "Never seen before" is just marketing for site hits. A generic slogan to capture viewers. Misleading since they don't even explain. They just state it.
The devs should have asked your permission first! Imagine MineCraft with a map. We would build our own monuments and markers to identify our locations, and remember the paths we took. Sometimes we'd get lost and start anew, only to stumble on our old hideouts and stash again. A game built from the ground up by visual artists will be making the monuments and markers for us. I will glady look for it and find my own way through villages, forests, and mountains to get there. Samurai's bas...
Hmm, I expected their turn-based mode to be like FF12 but with FF7 likeness so they wouldn't have to adjust the entire system. That sucks but I still really enjoyed the demo. I was hoping the full game would have featured a better classic mode
So, when they had the lengthy 10 minute Japanese commercial, the translations said it would still have turn-based like the original. Was this a stretched truth? Is there any similar turn-based system to the original? I still think the game looks fantastic and I don't mind artistic liberties if done really well. I have the modded PC version to have better character models so I am fine with having it. I hope this promotes fans to take it further to rehaul the original then. Honestly, I'...
Ah, so you justify bad financial purchases by bragging about them and embarrassingly acting elitist about it. If you buy a mid gen upgrade then you should be investing in a gaming PC.
I don't understand the "never seen before" title. We've had many games of this genre and combat style before.
"potential" is a very broad term these days.
And, it also requires more creativity and better writing rather than a system telling you where to go and highlight the way for you. Open worlds have become 360 degree linear games in a way, if that makes sense. I can't wait to roam freely and see how this one turns out. I've always wanted a Samurai game
The Series S would only be the All Digital version, aka, no disc drive. They said this before. It wouldn't make any sense to release a slightly weaker SKU. It would mean less bulk buy cost savings for their individual platforms, market confusion, and the purpose of a mid gen upgrade, the One X. They said before, and people on hete bragged about it, that it would be forward compatible with next gen, running a lower version but with enough power to still have some of the features and enough...

MS owns Windows. XBox doesn't matter for that PC sale. Windows store is barren. It's why Steam and other outlets are being focused on with certain releases. PC users don't pay for Live. A games a game. Why is their "ecosystem" so important to you? Cause PC has a different ecosystem all together. Discord and, predominantly, Steam. Almost every household has a PC. MS gets no bigger cut than they already have. XBox certainly gets little attention...
A lot of products make over double what it costs to make them. Even more. Simce the controller is so mass produced to be included with the console, I assume mass production will assist in individual sale units prices still being in check.
The punching bag in Smash Bros
Turn Based adds a layer of control over a squad, while action requires more automation to allow more control over one character and it can easily make you lose focus on the rest of your squad.
I agree. The controllers are the most important right now. I want similar Index controllers. Analogs are a necessity. I'm tired of requiring a teleport mechanic, constantly rotating myself for miniscule things, and resetting my position every once in a while. Analog movement andstill having a right analog for a camera would be great. Yes, my head rotates my view, but maintaing my posture and still rotating would have its benefits and less immersion break when you have to reset.
Lets ask him about Scientology
Hmmm, he has had chains bound to his arm but with blades attached. And, he just keeps coming back from the dead
You're serious? Have you been gaming the past few years? The right analog sees more use than the face buttons, far more often. And, the irony of that common counter argument is that the XBox is a console built around shooters, on top of dual analog gaming being far more frequent than anything else. Along with analogs requiring more control, aka muscle use and for extended periods of time. If you find the right analog on xbox then I can agree with you that the left analog is comfortable, b...
Ray Tracing was an idea from users modding it into MC. It had been implemented into the Java version by modders a while ago. And, conveniently, even though Java lets you load any minecraft.exe and config, my ray tracing install stopped working. I just played on it last week
