Finally! I was hoping this would have been released on 3DS ages ago! Even just a simple rerelease
@CrimsonWing
The only PC released PS4 IP's that are owned by Sony is Death Stranding and HZD. Those other games aren't Sony's decision to move to other platforms. This is not a Sony decision or pattern. The only game they decided to port was HZD. Death Stranding was always decided to go to PC during negotations with Kojima.
I can't wait. I've been waiting for a good backlog of games to use since I got my TV
@Timotim
Oh, geez. The topic was policy, which I've clarified several times. Not implementation. It's up to developers to implement it, and it's not u til this generation and next that implementation will be simple because of the same basic architecture. I'm not telling you that Sony hasn't rereleased games rather than provide cross-buy themselves. But, why do you keep bringing up TLoU remastered when MS did the exact same thing? They rereleased Halo, Mi...
@Timotim
I just told you. The policy is the same. What more do you want? I didn't say Sony developers are doing it. This wasn't a conversation about games till you came in. It was about policy. Developers have the same decision for both consoles. They can choose to do it or not. Sony isn't holding back developers. RE8 is the developers choice not to support old consoles. All PS4 games are up to developers to release a PS5 patch for. All inter-generational games ...
@ Timotim
Again, you ignore and cherry pick. PS3 is over 10 years old. I stated the policy started with the console. You're harping on Sony for not taking the time to port PS3 titles to PS4 for free. It's developers decision for both consoles, as I said, and both sides are guilty of releasing remasters. What about MS porting 360 games to XBox and charging for them while they had zero cross-gen policy for developers? Sony's the bad guy now for having it *at all*?...
@Timotim
If you want to have a conversation, have the respect to address all points and statements made from the party you're responding to. Not cherry pick examples to push negativity. I literally just explained this in my post. Both have the same feature and it's up to developers to use it.
We're past the PS3 now. We know the cross-gen support wasn't great because of architectural differences. Both PS4 and XBox One games will work on th...
Smart Delivery is the exact same policy as Cross-Buy. Cross-Buy was implemented since PS3/PSVita. It's developers choice to do it on both Cross-Buy AND Smart Delivery. The issue with Sony is previous consoles having poor inter-generational compatibility, so Cross-Buy hadn't taken off since developers had higher expenses to port between platforms. But, PS4 games natively work on PS5.
Sony already allows this. Sony doesn't prevent any developer from cross-play or from cross-buy. Both of these were started by Sony and MS came late to the party, only to advertise the heck out of it like it's a revolutionary policy. It's up to developers on both sides to implement these features.
I also thought about in terms of mid-gen upgrade, that if it were a cube shape, it could have expansion ports on the bottom just like the GameCube, and a mid-gen upgrade would be stacking it on top rather than a whole console replacement. This gens gonna be a blast though
I'm curious what the slim versions will look like down the line. The XBox becomes a smaller rectangular box or will it cut in half and be a cube? I personally wanted PS5 to be a GameCube shape when we still hadn't seen how it looked
@Naruga
You would say the opposite if the new one was gritty and the original were colorful. Cool down.
If you look at the screenshot comparisons then you will see that the remake isn't actually that much more colorful. It has far more detail and objects to fill the space. It's just as dark, dven darker in some shots, it's just as eerie, and some look even more adorned by fog and luminance. It's just the trailer and much more technical ski...
The SX has a large console face. Of course it will be noticed especially with a light up LED logo. But, of course it doesn't stand out as much in comparison.
The design of the extruded portions near the vents is so when a consumer has the console flush against a surface it can never constrict airflow. It was a smart design that they found an aesthetic style to mask the purpose of.

"You two triggered"
Oh, you're one of thooose people. We're not stupid or have short term memory.
"I never said it was negative did I?"
Yes, you did have negative things you said about it. Your quote below:
"It looks cheap, and far too similar to a router. Did they get Netgear to design it? I'd be embarrassed to have that in my AV rack. Might feel diffe...
The extrusions on the top(or right side when laid down) are smart though. They really did think a lot about the cooling system. The extrusions will allow the vents to always have enough airflow even if someone scoots the box right against something.
As if looking like a router is an insult. Lol. Both the new consoles have a router that they look like. Who cares? If something looks good then they look good, regardless of similarities. Both new consoles look good.
"Some people say it's this way, and because I'm inclined to join in on their opinion.. I express concern and conveniently ignore the popular and majority opinion in order to try and spark debate and change peoples minds" .
There is no actual real world benefit to a tower like the SX. You just fell for marketing fluff. The benefit to the manufacturer is it's easier to produce. A flatbox like this just requires more effort. Just like last gen, Sony engineered the box to maximize internal hardware packed in. XBox will have a lot of empty space inside because they don't want to be troubled engineering airflow in a compact format. The loud fan from last gen is due to being a small fan that cranked up to high...
You mean the all digital PSP Go? Dual analog sticks, dual rumble, the basis of modern controller design and button layout that everyone now uses?
Disc formats, built-in HDD(PSX), dedicated servers, and crossplay(Sony did it first and MS refused to join in until way later and make a big fuss about it to look pro-consumer).
Eyetoy, VR(which they showed a variation of with AR to try and wow the crowd with a very misleading technical demonstration, then promised VR support, an...
The game has a 30fps and 60fps mode.
