"Xbox Game Pass has more than 10 million subscribers and we’re seeing increased monetization of in-game content and services."

Here it goes. Suits telling other suits where business focus is headed. Horizon 4 bothered me so much with wheel spins and dlc in the menus that I went back to horizon 3.

Okay. Do the math yourself. Then tell me how it works out. Or, just blindly comment. Are you here to comment and provide your personal thoughts or not? So, don't insult someone else's if you haven't thought it through yourself.

Good one. We've all heard the keyboard warrior, armchair executive, etc type insults. Don't comment if you're just gonna be annoying.

You might want to look into MS product history ...

It was $82 million. And, we're talking about, GamePass. GamePass subscribers are generally on a $1 dollar trial, or pay yearly. This one single game at $82 million. Then you're talking ab...

Do you realize how many games are licensed through GamePass? The cost per person doesn't hold up well when you account for first party AAA game costs and missed out sales per person. I'm confident that either policies will change a few years in or first party titles will have lower budgets, or more monetization practices as we've seen. They don't just simply get money. They also spend it.

And, Live doesn't factor into GamePass. It's a separate servi...

Please tell me you haven't had a Switch overheat on you, cause that would be a pretty simple reasoning, along with two PS3's, that they're not in a good environment to exhaust heat and pull in cool air.

Nothing compares to over half of 360's having this problem. Anecdote isn't comparable.

Yes, you can. If you've done testing and found the sweet spot for high yield, stability, and manageable temperatures. Then you can. It's simple. We've seen RDNA1 cards reach close to these clocks. I'm pretty sure t...

Chris literally removed my comment calling out someone pushing an xbox agenda.. So, no I don't think he's biased, or lets it interfere with his job. Quit crying wolf. You guys can't push your opinion on others in either a rude way, or constantly buffering every post with XBox bias to try and get people interested in it. Trying too hard. Like, several on here keep speaking about features and yada yada every post they can like they're selling the product. Be biased, but not anno...

You don't have to advertise and throw in flair when you bring up topics related to xbox.

Phil IS an xbox higher up. When he was in charge of games is when 2010 shifted their focus to kinect. It's not coincidence that when he rose up that MS also changed their focus away from core gamers at the same time. This dude hasn't even done one thing this generation to help xbox and openly lies all the time with fake promises. He's been in charge of games for a decad...

What's XBox's biggest weakness? Games. He's been in charge of that for a looooong time.

The only reason for new dev acquisition is so they can push forward with XCloud for continuous revenue, supporting GamePass for its own revenue, trying to keep users on Live subscriptions, and one last shove for XBox. It's not even cause XBox was that important to MS. Seeing as this whole gen has lacked.

Which includes the focus on kinect 1.0 and ditching hardcore gamers during 360, lining up with the Kinect focus during X1's launch. He wasn't in interviews which is why they didn't fire him. He had a blank slate to the general public.

That's a big stretch. CU's and ROP's are two different pieces of hardware. ROP's don't have a set number necessary for each CU across different architectures. PC hardware is typically same hardware, different cuts, and different yields that carry across tiers of hardware. Some are made totally different while others are from the same wafer despite having different capabilities. Basically, this is different for PC hardware where you must be comparin...

We get it. It was a 6/10. That's not too bad though, and I agree that some devs don't manage market price well. But, a small dev making 6/10's isn't bad at all. The amount of disclaimers you're giving come off as fake concern. Just saying.

A shooter is an easier project. They probably realized that a fantasy rpg was a lot to undertake the first go around. I won't ever hate on devs trying something new. Just do it right. I'm glad to see creativity...

Indeed. It also has hardware for VRS, called primitive shaders. They also have a patent for VRS, which MS even notated in their own patent in order to state that their patent is indeed a different implementation and not derivative of it.

It's not a direct lie. It's misleading. There are many interpretations to pc specs and what matter. Tflops are more performance therefore they arent lying. But, MS, in an interview conducted by DF, literally said CU's aren't fully utilized and that core clock being raised was a benefit for more gaming performance by disable 2 CU's(on XBox One) that wouldn't have been used. They don't ever speak total lies. That's the point.

Lol what? What would their comparisons show? False info? They aren't liars. Misleading and lying are two different things. There was no result they could show that generally favored XBox. IF they lied about it then they'd be out of business. They'd cover games like Destiny 1 that had parity on both consoles and gave props to the XBox development for reaching the PS4, without talking about how PS4 could have had more features if they put the same amount...

The console is also marketed as having online gaming features, but they aren't free. The same article asks the very same question. "coming to game pass" doesn't mean free. And, where would you logically find that establishing hardware, the demanding internet, and infrastructure would be a freebie unless explicitly stated? MS is normally very direct if it's something that would be an easy positive to mention. All these journalists asking about...

Well, the "options" and "pro-consumer" logic was thrown out the window when they didn't have someone buying into their own business. These are games people already own and paid money for, being restricted from access in a way of their choosing, unless that choice is MS. I'm not interested in paying for three subscriptions. Being "based" or "custom" is because they are not consumer cards. They are still RDNA2, and AMD listed the RDNA2 feature set while announcing RDNA2 console hardware. Now, MS referenced a Mark Cerny VRS patent in their own VRS patent in order to specify that their patent is not derivative of it. So, the patents are meaningless already, since people don't realise that the patents are for methods, not the process. But, both have them if people care about the patents so mu...
