I hope they allow remapping of controls. I haven't played it yet, so I have absolutely no idea if it works or not, obviously, but the thought of having reload attached to the d-pad is a bit unsettling. Assuming standard controls, left stick for movement, right stick for camera, which means you'd have to stop moving to reload (which isn't true, since there's footage of the character running and reloading).
Anyways, can't wait for this game. This and Assassin's Creed have me m...
I'd imagine this would be a game where challenges keep it fresh. You know..."Through the arches, off the billboard, past the old lady" kind of thing.
Alright, I made the second wave!
Looove me som Red vs. Blue. Just finally got it set up so that I can watch all the episodes on my tv (converting 98 vid files for the PS3 took for-freakin-ever). Yes, I know I could have bought the DVDs, but how can anyone be asked to wait a full year to see what's going on in wonderful Blood Gulch.
Not enough Church though -_-
Bow Chica Honk Honk
Viewtiful Joe and Gardius V: two of my favorite PS2 games; two games showing 2-D will always have a place ;-)
I'm not trying to disagree with your post or anything, just to clarify a commone mis-conception. I think (and correct me if I'm wrong) that the 4-D comment was made in reference to sound being an added dimension to gameplay. 3-D graphics plus enhanced, hi-def, calculated sound.
Are you joining N4G's, or PSU's?
I know that a similar article had been posted from Kotaku, but this one seemed to have more information, such as a statement from the developers, and a link to their forums for help on how to deal with the issue.
And what, exactly, is a revenge post? If it's what I think it is, then what in the world would I be trying to avenge?
When considering pricing, don't forget that every song not only has to be licensed, but then configured to work into the game. That costs money. And on top of all of that, every song has a music video that goes with it. If they use the actualy videos from the song, I'm guessing that's MORE money they're paying out. Think about how much a video is on iTunes: $1.99. I wouldn't be surprised if each song was over a dollar, but I don't think Sony can afford to try to exceed 2.
The closest I could find to service updates was this:

But that's just since 360's release.
The let me follow up that statement by admitting that I'm not as intelligent as I think either :-P
Let me preface this by stating that I am in now way trying to challenge yoru intelligence or anything; I'm just not sure if you know. You do realize that Hydrophobia means "fear of water," right? Given that that's the theme of the game, and the character's affliction, it seems like a pretty logical title.
I beta tested Killzone, Ractchet and Clank: Deadlock, and GTA4 for online play back on the PS2. Beta's been around.
Yeah, I was pretty impressed by PSM's preview of the game; especially the side affects that occur to you and your teammates. Makes for interesting random gameplay.
Given the mass priase the game seems to have recieved from reviewers, I guess $10 isn't too bad a price to see what all the hooplah's about. The only other PSN titles I've bought were flOw and Sudoku, so it's about time I get something I can play competitively online. See some of you later tonight maybe.
I agree with the Powerstone on the Most Wanted list. Also a reincarnation of Rival Schools would be cool. I remember that being the first 3-d fighter where stepping in and out of the screen seemed really useful and strategic.
One might say that if a game had better graphics and physics, then detonating a powerful explosive on the ground should do more than leave a scorch mark. I think that it's more than just the game itself, but the technology's potential use as well.
This doesn't look like a Monkey Island game -_-
Kidding, kidding. The game looks really interesting and immersive. One thing I'm looking forward to in the next-gen, which I can't claim to have ever felt before, is for a game to be so thoroughly developed that I really feel I can do anything. Most games don't lead you toward taking creative paths towards resolving a conflict outside of just running straight ahead and gunning. I hear Half-Life was supposed to be a major "...
I was going to say that the title is extremely misleading, but then again, it's their title word-for-word, so "meh."
Anyways, I am surprised by how far Heavy Rain's fallen off radars. Well, not really surprised, since there's been nothing but the e3 '05 trailer, but still; the game looked awesome, and is from Quantic Dreams. Reason enough to get excited, much like how Team Ico could put out a single screenshot and I'd flip out.
You have to realize that there is a pretty decently-sized population of people who don't care about online play what-so-ever. I won't say that I'm one of them, but I'm definitely not a big fan of it; the only game I've really enjoyed playing online is Calling all Cars and Resistance (when people aren't acting like idiots). For many people, it's all about the single-player experience.
If I look back at my PS2 games (34) I only bothered going online with 2. Some may chalk this...
