What in the world are "rumble headesets." I mean, I'm assuming that they're explicitly what the name implies, but I've never heard of those before.
Depends on if he's talking about an internal or external hard drive. If he's speaking about an internal one, then no. I mean, technically you could have data on both hard drives, but you can only have one in your system at a given time. So you'd remove the 20 or 60 gig one and replace it with the 160 gig. you can still have data on the original one, but I don't think that anyone wants to go through the hassle of swapping out hard drives like they're memory cards. You can also just hook u...
Just wanted to point out the PS3 has a 60gig HDD, not an 80 gig one. But I could have sworn people said that larger hard drive and HDMI weren't needed or important. Not saying YOU said that, by the way.
Wow, I think this is the first time I've ever used all my bubbles on an article. Dangit. To rjkc below, they did factor in the cost, they just didn't list the price next to the device. The 360 is still the cheaper of the two based on their prices.
When Spiderman 3 comes out, with more systems out there in the market, I'm sure that record will be easily smashed.
Beyond Good and Evil, DMC 3, God Hand, Psychonauts, Soul Calibour 3 (or just wait for 4). Then there are all the music games that are harder to find, if you like that kind of stuff. Gitaroo Man, Mad Maestro, MTV Music Generator 3, Rez, Frequency and Amplitude, and Lumines 2. Gradius V and Viewtiful Joe, and God Hand have an old-school kind of gameplay feel, which is cool. And hopefully when Guitar Hero comes out for PS3 (possibly this fall?), the first two will transfer over just fine. <...
I completely forgot about the card reader, although I never use it on mine. My camera uses xD (I'd have to have the one format not supported), but there's always the USB cable. Phone uses SD, so I guess I could transfer stuff that way, but for the most part, I'm either hooking a flash drive or my external hard drive into one of the USB ports. The ONE major gripe I have with media transfer thus far is I still can't just grab stuff from my PC wirelessly :(. I certainly hope that's a functio...
And you MUST play Shadow of the Colossus. And since Okami's already been mentioned, Clover Studios' other gems: Viewtiful Joe and God Hand. Psychonauts and Beyond Good & Evil are great games too.
I had a few minor gripes with it. First of all, my blue-tooth headset cost me $20, not $110. Second, as someone pointed out, No one's likely to buy component AND HDMI cables. Also, they factored IN HDMI cabling into the PS3 price, but not the 360s? That's a $60 difference alone (mine cost $12). They claim it's fair to factor in the cost of LIVE in order to match the PS3's basic online abilities, but only factor it in for the cost of one year. And lastly, $64.88 for an 2.5" HDD, and...
Not much new info aside from the fully destructible environments. To claim to be "approaching reality" is a pretty grand statement to make. Of course, when anything is visually clearer and more realistic, it's technically "approaching" reality rather than moving away from it. Still, I'm optimistic and hopefuly they can pull it off, but we're going on two years without a single piece of visual evidence. That's either a good sign, or a bad one, and we will know soon, I g...
I hope you don't mean "buy" as in from newstands, instead of subscribing . . .
Been a subscriber since December 2000. Wow, I have over 6 years worth of those things in my closet . . . sorry to see Chris go.
I'm not one for flinging insults, but that's about the dumbest idea I've ever heard of. Capcom holds no obligation to anyone to do anything, and boycotting the game isn't gonna amount to squat. If you want to boycott for something, do it because they shut down Clover Studios, not because they're selling their games to a wider audience. Geesh.
I work Sunday night/Monday morning, but I'm more than willing to risk letting it run the 13 hours I'm gone :)
Can't wait to see new footage of this game, and ultimately get my hands on it. I saw no real confirmation anywhere that this was in-game though. The link goes to a forum where the original poster won't say where he got them (although the "GI" is a subtle clue ;-))
I'm not saying that they're not (I'd like to think they are, based on where they were a year ago with the in-engine trailer), but there's no real factual basis for calling it so.
I'm actually appreciating the value of Blu Ray thus far, but only for newer movies (not re-purchasing my library or anything). Downloading movies is kind of a cool option too though. Tivo's teamed up with Amazon and their Unbox program ( http://www.amazon.com/s/ref... which lets you buy or rent movies. If you sign up now, you even get fre...
Did anyone actually expect to be able to design their own dragons? Never even occured to me as a feature to look for.
I think that was Tobal
Rival Schools and Powerstone. The two franchises I'd like to see re-made. Maybe Samurai Showdown and Eternal Champions too; used to play the heck out of those back in the day.
Oh wow, the biggest upgrade for me (aside from background downloading) is that "games auto launching when inserted" option. I hope it also affects launching a game when turning the system on. When you have a device that you use for viewing pictures, listening to music, watching movies, AND playing games, you shouldn't have to sit there during the initial start-up sequence waiting to scroll left or right out of the game menu to prevent it from loading.
*edit: and af...
Ahh, I remember when it was still ZDTV. When Leo and Patrick were still hosting the Screensavers. When the channel was actually INFORMITIVE and not just glitz. Even X-Play has lost its draw for me. I don't even really tune into the network anymore; sometimes I'll watch AOTS if nothing else is on. And I'll tune in for their E3, CES, etc., specials.
And of course Olivia's the hottest -_-
Cool. I still haven't bought the trilogy yet, so having all three extended editions on one or two discs isn't a bad deal. Wonder how much that'd cost though . . .
