has there been any announcement of this having anything to do with the 360?
Although I disagree with the severity of the law, I do think that the concept in general is a good thing for the industry. The more that we can ensure that retailers are enforcing the ESRB labels and not giving these games to kids, the less that the industry can be held responsible should they end up in a child's hands. When it reaches that point, it will no longer be 'blame the industry,' but rather, blame the parents. Which it should be from the get-go, but is so rarely percieved as such...
I'd be surprised if there weren't at least some kind of interactive chess and checkers already for it.
definitely. This coupled with the the gesture recognition of Sony's and Microsoft's cameras could lead to all kinds of new ways to interact with and manipulate data.
I've seen them show the engine before a while ago, like you said, but this is the first time I've seen this specific presentation.
I remember them showing this engine a while ago too. I think for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones games. It's kind of cool, because the animation and AI are linked together, so that you don't have to script reactions to every little thing. Should be impressive. Not a fan of GTA games, but I could see how this would expand upon the world and gameplay.
That is indeed a paradox. I have plenty of screensavers on my pc that end up drawing me in though. I used to use the little camera one that you could play games with. Now it's usually set to displaying Calvin and Hobbes strips. I'll end up sitting there sometimes, just reading and reading.
PSN: Siesser.
I think I got outgunned by PhantomLee earlier...
Yeah, I'm 75% done with the DL. Sadly, I have to work tonight, so I'll only get around 2 hours of playtime in :(
I loved the movie, but this graphical direction seems odd. If this is what it takes to keep the slapstick nature to the combat in a large online setting though, so be it. So long as it's fun.
At least now I know who the song's from. No wonder I got such a DJ Shadow vibe from it. Can't wait for this game; I hope it plays as fluidly as I imagine.
Don't forget, they did have Cream in the first Guitar Hero
They'd always said that there would be multiple cities; I think three. When you traverse between them, you tacke a caravan, if I'm not mistaken.
Got HOME and Warhawk :) This should be fun; hope to see you guys on there.
Knights of Cydonia! That is my favorite Muse song; I'm happy :-)I'm surprised they didn't go with Hysteria though... that would have been such a fun base-line for co-op.
At last; the whole reason I WANTED wi-fi in the first place is arriving. I'd say the only feature I'd anticipated that hasn't arrived yet is the ability to download music and movies and stuff. And I'd still like an update to the codecs playable off the system -_-. And there was that proposed ability to record gameplay...that would be cool still.
Amazing. Still the next-gen game I'm most excited about. This and Uncharted are bringing what I consider the biggest upgrade this generation; not graphics, but animation. Movement. Physics. Interaction. That's next gen. Can't wait to play it.
Also wish Quantic Dreams would drop a little info on Heavy Rain

They do get HEROES in August though. That hurts.
And drunk.
Although when I play with my friends, some people still get that bad, all sobriety aside.
I think I might have played in a game with you the other night. Not sure if it was you or someone named "spiderman..."
