European launch is coming up. You still have to advertise your product over there.
The fact that I own one aside, I'd pick Catherine Zeta Jones over the other two any day of the week. It's just some guy's blog though. And he's Australian, so that's probably where the Kidman love comes from.
For me, it's usually story and style. I don't care much for reviews, because A: it's just someone's opinion, and B: it's based off what the masses like, and I understand from the get-go that that will differ from what I like. For example, I don't like GTA, Gran Turismo, MGS, or FF. Pretty popular games though, right?
Basically, if the game seems in any way "new" as far as mechanics go, it'll pique my interst. Music games are an automatic interest. I may like the ...
Sort of a sad looking trailer; wouldn't get me excited for the game if I didn't already know about it.
If anyone's curious, the Cyrillic is "Nerahskritayah dlina ve footahx." One year of Russian's finally worth something.
the most impressive part of the demo was definitely the style of the character's animation and movement. That they're getting that spot-on is impressive enough to me. The attention to audio's important too; that you can hear a grenade land near you and recognize it as such, without seeing it. I like how the audio director stated that he measures its success by how far you can play with your eyes closed; amazing.
Another game which was all about the animation was 8 Days, whic...
Same here. I've heard all of this chatter about how it possibly eclipses DMC (something the developer even mentioned in his PSM interview); those are big words indeed, so I'm interested to see whehther they're right. I never really bothered getting this game when I still had an Xbox, so now's a good enough time I suppose.
One cool thing about the game is that you can either do no, partial, or full install to the hard drive. I wonder just how large the game actually is. . ....
The musical shooting game was Everyday Shooter: http://www.psu.com/node/865...
It might be making its way to PSN (crosses fingers)
I'm glad minimum wage is as high as it is where you live, but the FEDERAL minimum wage is only $5.15. States can have their own higher wage, but that's the national minimum.
this has always been my favorite golfing franchise; it's a really relaxing and soothing game (until you start slicing and want to kill someone). The graphics look great, and it appears they kept much of the play mechanics the same, which is good. It's always been, in my eyes, and arcadey game that has a decent amount of depth to it, and once you start figuring out just how to read the gradient of the greens and gaugue wind speed, you start feeling like a golfing god :).
Now w...
So that's about $3 per song? Ouch. But then again, I've paid $1.99 for music videos off of iTunes, and those aren't even in HD or integrated into anything, so I guess the extra dollar in cost is justified... I just know I won't be buying a LOT of them at that price.
I agree with the above people that you have to put gameplay first, especially since the games will likely play differently. I haven't had the pleasure of playing Gears yet, but from what I've heard (and what I know about online), you only have so many characters in action at once. If Killzone has massive battles, I wouldn't expect them to have insanely high graphics at the same time; at least, not yet. As many have said, the most impressive thing about the demo was the fluidity and natural...
Jaffe has said in interviews that he was kind of burned out on making the big-budget games, and wanted to do something more immediately satisfying (both to play and make).
I've had this happen to me twice online while playing Resistance - very annoying. By no means an issue that I'd consider to occur frequently, but it's something that they need to get fixed or at LEAST explain.
The only PSN game I'm looking forward to in the near future is that music-shooter game, and Little Big Planet. I'll also be happy when the PS1 downloads can play off the system.
last night's color-palette change was a surprisingly big improvement on the over-all look of the store. Don't know if it was a glitch or what, but the background was black instead of the blue it is now; I liked it.
Just to clarify, floating triangles and vertices and shaders and stuff just don't MEAN much to me. I'm sure the above may be some great technical achievement, but not one that I can appreciate (not as in don't care, but as in just doesn't mean anything). Fluid dynamics stuff I can kind of grasp the significance of, but other than that, pointing out how many triangles or cubes or lit, self-shadowing faces just doesn't make an impact to me; I'm far more on the consumer end than the developer ...
And I remain ever unimpressed by number-crunching demos.
On the plus side, how many people here watched "Home Movies?" If you did, then you know why I was laughing during that entire video.
As far as converting video goes, Videora Ipod convertor will do it for free, or any PSP conversion software. Now if this thing gives me any easy fix for getting my iTunes music to play on there outside of burning it and then ripping it, I'm all for it.
I suppose that's possible, but given the size of the matches (upwards of 32 players, right?) and the fact that many of the modes require some semblance of strategy, I assumed there wouldn't be a bunch of bots running around.
Could be though.
well, the game is MULTIPLAYER only. So I'd imagine it's online only as well.
You can throw Beyond Good & Evil and Indigo Prophecy into that list, and even Ico.
