It will be interesting to see how pricing for that works out. Outside of PSN games, there aren't too many things released yet that we've had to pay for when it comes to additional content, so there's no good standard on which to base it. Singstar, being first party and designed around the concept of buying additional tracks, will probably become the de fact standard for prices.

I too have two guitars, but from buying the PS2 GH1 and GH2 bundles. So, they won't help me here. I'm kind of torn how to approach this. I think originally I'll buy the Rockband game with the Drum periph, and GH3 with the controller. That way, I can use that controller in Rock Band as well...GH3 will just have to be single player for a while, I guess. When the full song list is revealed, I may just pass on GH all together, but they went and got Knights of Cydonia, and I love that song. ...

It looks like you have to click on the portal a second time, after you place it.

I just wish you could sych up your headsets mid-game :-( I always have to quit allll the way out to the XMB if I forget to do so after loading Resistance or Warhawk. Hopefully in-game XMB will resolve this issue. Can't wait to get the game though; download for me. And "THE JUDGE," don't forget that if you buy it, you can download it onto your friends' systems too!

Island Outpost is my favorite level in the game, and I have to agree that at 32 players, it's plenty crowded enough. Sooooo much fun though.

I too didn't enjoy Nucleus; deleted the demo after my first play through. Everyday Shooter though, will undoubtedly take the reins from SSHD for me.

That last one, the maze, is something so simple, but that I doubt I'd ever have thought of. I can't wait to just be rolling through someone's level and come across something that makes me say "Hey! Look at that!" I just hope I can create such myself as well. Time to start planning...

He was at E3, just not invited to the "hangar." I'm assuming that's where the Sony Press Conference took place, since he watched it live on G4's coverage.

I agree with all of his complaints too. I was watching the Sony conference, and then all of sudden, when Jack starts talking about PS2, they say they're going to commercial?! I was like 'you've gotta be kidding me!'. I then had to go ahead and try to get into it on Gamestop (which was by then flooded and took fo...

And these are supposed to all be industry people at that; people who KNOW games. Seriously; I've never touched the game in my life, but I still know that there's supposed to be a cover mode (triangle). Isn't there supposed to be someone manning the booth explaining this stuff to people anyways? Or at least give them one of those little control diagrams you see at kiosks everywhere...

I agree; I'm happy to see Killzone coming along well, but it's nowhere near the top of the list of games I'm looking forward to for the system.

Echochrome DID make the list. Little Big Planet didn't though.

I agree with LBP needing to make the list. Have no idea why UT3's on there. Happy to see the nod to Echochrome too. The thing that I saw this year though, that had me staring in wonder and saying "I've never seen that before," came from Haze. I can not recall ANY game where you can play dead; especially not an FPS.

I'd pay to watch it ;-)

by the time they run out of the already-produced 60 gig models, they'll likely just stop bundling the 80 gig (bye $60 motorstorm game) and sell IT for $499 instead. Makes sense to me.

I'm waiting for the day when someone sits Harrison and Moore down in the same room for an interview, so that they can call each other out and be forced to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but.

Comes out in November.

This is going to be an insanely crowded and expensive fall/winter, gaming-wise.

Ok, true, the barrier of entry to owning a system remains the same. But what you get is different. They dropped the price on their SKU, not on their cost of entry, and that's all people are trying to defend. If Elite dropped to 399, and the pro to 299, I'm sure that would be considered a "price drop" by many. Because it is. The cost of a specific item has dropped. If they didn't still have the $600 model, that may be more easily accepted.

I can see your point th...

I do plan to get this game (as in I've already reserved and paid it off), but even I have to admit the demo raised more questions than praise for me. Why does no one care that you just fell into a haystack? They said before that just dropping into the middle of a crowd would draw suspicion. Why were there five of the same people walking in a row? And was the developer doing something wrong or intentional to make the pot-carriers so easily drop their...well, pots? Because if it's THAT sen...

If you're just going to compare them like that, it's more than just hard drive. At the $500 price point, you have an extra 40 gigs and built in wi-fi now (the whole reason I bought the 60gig model in the first place) and the card readers. At the $600 level, you've got an extra 20 gigs and a game. If I were buying a new one at this point, I'd just take the $500 model and uppgrade the hard drive to a much larger size, but there are probably those out there who are too afraid/lazy to tinker w...

There are actually two "extended video clips" floating around right now; the one as seen during Sony's presentation, and this one: http://www.gamevideos.com/v...

It shows much more of the intro level, continuity-wise.

*Edit*

Ok, so, according to someone, somewhere, this link does NOT, in fact, lead to an extended gameplay video. I say you're wrong, sir! (or madam) ...
