I'd trade my membership for Alba any day of the week. Just get her on the line, and I'll give you my account ;-)
This is cool; I love getting perks. Sadly, with the end of the PS2 era approaching, I guess my collection of demo-discs and betas will come to a close :(
Tivo Series 3 outputs in Hi Def. Not sure if it's 1080p, but it's at least the quality of HD-brodcasts (720p/1080i). When it first came out, it was around $800, but has dropped to $300 now.
The service can add up, I suppose, coming in at $13 a month. But I use it all the time; the only time I EVER watch live tv is when I'm trying to watch something and want to see it in HD. Other than that, everything's recorded. So I consider the service well worth the cost, at least for...
Tivo's just an aweseome service. I tried my cable company's service after my first year of Tivo was about to end, to see if it's worth the cost, and Tivo blew it away. Menus are intuitive, the rescheduling, programming, keyword features and what-not work great. You can listen to all the music and view pictures from your pc over a network (how I did it before the ps3). You can, umm, heck, you can buy movie tickets with the thing through Fandango. You can listen to internet radio via Live5...
I think it'd be cool to have a locked game just for N4G members.
And as for a clan, I'm all up for it too, if you need a 32nd ;-)
PSN: Siesser.
My favorite thing to do in the original Driver was to enter Free Ride mode (usually in Frisco) and just find a cop and ram into him. Being chased by the police was a blast in that game, and would provide me with fun for hours on end.
His Dark Materials Trilogy is my second favorite book series ever, so I wish the movie the best of luck. So many people haven't heard of it, so it's going to be great to see the series get some recognition when the movie comes out in December.
As for the game, I think I have sadly out-grown the target demographic for it, and would probably spend a majority of the time complaining about this or that being wrong. But I hope it does well (why they're releasing a ps3 version is b...
I've said for the past however-many years that THIS would be the title to make me get a 360, and even pay (yes, as much as I hate the idea, I'd do it for this game) to play online. Of course, that hypothetical always functioned under the cloud of doubt that existed over whether or not it'd actually come out on the PS3. Which I don't see listed above as a platform of release.
Has there been any confirmation of platform outside of the hiring of a 360 programmer? Because I don'...
I play guitar. I play piano. The games are still fun to play, which is the whole point of them. And not everyone has the time, the patience, the funds, or the nack to go out and learn to play drums, bass, and guitar.
The games are fun to play with you friends. They can never have touched it before, and still feel like they're creating something. I haven't played the 80s Guitar Hero yet (hopefuly tomorrow), but when I do, I will suddenly be able to feel like I'm playing 30 s...
Weak as it may sound, that's why I've never gotten into UT. Waaaay too frantic, fast, and twitchy for me to enjoy it. I mean, I give mad props to the people that play it well, because I don't know how you're supposed to even think, let alone aim properly. Then again, I'm not an avid kb/m user, so maybe it just comes with time. Or I just completely suck at the game and its ilk. More likely the latter :P
I'd definitely be one of those people: "Wait...wha? What just ha...
Defend it by making your game the better. Geesh.
They've always said they intend to support the console despite the existence of the PS3. Remember all that "10 year life-span" hooplah? This is them staying true to their words. Yeah, it'd be easy to just throw Twisted Metal and GoW and others on PS3 and call it done, but they're not abandoning the consumers who got them to where they were in the first place.
I liked it; it's the pacing of her attacks. It doesn't play where you pull off 3 moves in 2 seconds; there's weight, and pause after your hits. It may be "slow" for you, but for me, it feels more practical. The last thing you want to do is punch in 4 moves and get stuck in a string of attacks; especially given that multiple enemies will attack at once.
And as for the button pressing; it does make a difference. If you don't press it fast enough on the rope sequence...
Well, the guitar starts about 20 seconds into the song (after the horses). 47 seconds in, the main riff kicks in, you have guitar going pretty much the rest of the song.
I do agree that it's much les prominent during the verses though. But they have the masters; maybe they'll bring it out more?
I have two controllers, and both are going fine (had system and controllers since launch). I usually don't get around to charging them until I get the blinking "low battery" notice, and have no idea if I use them equally since they sit right next to each other and I just randomly grab one.
I find it amusing that your request for an answer to a question has been aggreed and disagreed with. Is that a lazy "yes" and "no?"
I can't begin to impart how important this game was to me. This was the first game that had me saying "wow," and was until recently the forerunner for what I wanted this fall. It's sad to see that it's not living up to the depth, immersion, and most importantly, gameplay, that was promised not so long ago.
The E3 demo gave me pause NOT because of the bugs that popped up, but rather, because the game wasn't playing the way I'd imagined. The crowd is supposed to noti...
The animation and style is quirky, but the gameplay is still top-notch. Can't wait for the NA localization; until then, back to Hot Shots Tennis.
Hey, I recognize that third poster...
Geesh, a full gig, eh? Well, nothing to complain about; that's another reason I sprang for the 60. But I'm going to have to upgrade the size soon, with all the media I've got on there.
Anyways, I'm EST, which means I'll probably not be seeing the thing until late afternoon :( Phooey; usually it's better to live in the future.
I'm gonna have to disagree with the Muse commment. Although I still think Hysteria would have been a better choice for the game (well-known, and the persistent bass would make for fun co-op play), Kights is my favorite Muse song, and I think fits in with the game well. It's the first song I've seen included in any of the GHs thus far where I was truly excited that I'd actually get to play it. I mean, the entire song is a sort of huge, grandiose guitar score with a great finish. It's long,...
Yeah, I've been with it since the Underground CD Magazine days (man, those were cool) back on PS1. I think I got my membership stuff back in 2004.
