Hey, don't forget the Winback series ;)
http://www.gametrailers.com...
Yeah, I too can't wait for the game to get here. I have a lot of faith in Naughty Dog to put out a good product. And I agree that it's enticing to have a character that's fallible and, well, normal. Sense of humor, not some genetically enhanced killing machine; just a guy.
"Aaaaaaaaaah!! 1-2-3-4-5!!"
they mentioned that most third party develeopers haven't gotten ahold of the controller yet. Give them time; it's highly unlikely it won't be implemented, especially since the game's not even finished yet.
And the games that are programmed for it start this fall, with Uncharted, Ratchet, etc.
and he sounded really impressed with how it looked.
Sounds like the "new enemy" is actually one of the creatures from the original flash version of the game. Wonder why they didn't include it in their release...
are you kidding? the game looks great. graphics aren't all about high polygons and super-textures. And besides, it's about the intergration of gameplay and music. Think Rez. Think Vib Ribbon.
At the beginning, was that high-pitched sound supposed to be his ears ringing from the nearby exlposion?
Thanks to whoever embedded that video properly :)
Ok....?
I don't know the songs. I apologize if that somehow offends you. Rock Band's playlist is more familiar to me than this one, and so, is more appealing. I want to play a game with guitar in the title because I actually do play guitar, and I want to play a game with rock in the title because I actually do like rock music; from playing the first two games, I've come across a lot of songs that I'd never heard before but thoroughly enjoyed. I only know 10 of the game's 46...
The only song I'd HAVE to have from this game is Knights of Cydonia; my favorite Muse song. I haven't even heard of 90% of the rest of them outside of the big names (not a metal listener or anything), so Rock Band will definitely be a better fit for me.
You, sir, have great taste in old-school fighting games ;-).
Bat-Swiiiiiiing!!
Blame the Almighty Wal-Mart
I agree with ya there. I was pleasantly surprised that they offered the hi-def formats without charging more. I get to see every movie on Blu-Ray that I want, and just buy them when they get cheaper (same thing I do with DVDs, anyways).
I'm sorry you had to suffer, but thank you for warning the rest of us :)
Picking it up tomorrow!
I agree; if I can't pick it up today, then it wasn't "released" to me today. I don't know why they can't do the same as the DVD industry, and send out their product in advance. When I worked at Movie Gallery back at school, we recieved all of the new DVDs on Friday so that we'd have time to prep them (and of course, watch them) before Tuesday. Movies and Music already come out that day, as promised; why can't the game industry just follow suit and save us a trip to the mall?
Not that I'd question the almight Babelfish, but how can you have a fourth trimester...?
I think that the new Singstar game is going to have wireless mics; they may work in Rock Band, who knows. As for the drums, I agree, you're supposed to be sitting down and playing, not running across the living room with them.
During the beta, all I played was Team Death Match, but during a ranked game that was of various modes, I discoverd, and fell in love with Zones. That's nearly all I play now. That was my first CTF match too :)
Now, I've never been stabbed by a sword, nor had the occasion to lacerate another, but I really hate that squishy sound it makes every time he impales someone.
