A point people seem to gloss over too quickly. The first 4 months of the system's life went horribly, from a gamig perspective (I only got Resistance and Fight Night), but I knew that going in, and was happy with the system none-the-less due to its other features (loves me some Hi-Def movies). And people seem to expect, based on Sony's dominance the last two generations, that anything less this gen is a failure, and I guess that's their right to think that. No rational person would expect ...
I know it's not a priority, but I'd like to see online trat-stacking up and running. It's been a "coming soon" feature since the game launched.
Geesh, their editor sucks. 3 typos, and one of the edits they tried to throw in there was unnecessary.
Strong contender, but CTR reigns supreme in my book. Had an awesome boosting system, and the tracks were pretty decent.
Does anyone know if any of the PS1 titles integrate online play? Because I would re-purchase Crast Team Racing (still own my original PS1 copy) if it meant I could play it over PSN. Best kart racer ever.
It's worth hit; hands down one of the most breathtaking things I've ever seen, and really shows what hi-def is SUPPOSED to look like. Incredibly crisp and detailed.
Before jumping on him, don't forget that although he won't have the issue released in the month of November, magazines DATE their issues a month ahead; the magazine coming out in October should have "November" written on it.
Usually.
The free-running/parkour looks darn near flawless; it's the aspect of the game that has me the most excited. I can't wait to get this puppy home. I was a little worried by the stage demo at E3, but it seems they've got the collision sensitivity under control, and the animations while scaling and changing elevation look great.
That does make sense. There were the earlier stability issues with Resistance losing Bluetooth; and if the connection's not going to be rock-solid and fast, there's no point using it and frusturating people.
And I still can't play GH1 on any hi-def tv, due to no calibration mode :(
Yeah, I'd assume that it'd be as simple an issue as that, but I'm sure it's going to be one more area for people to nitpick. I still can't understand why they wouldn't just use bluetooth though :(. And I still wish they'd stuck a few in back. Granted, I have at times had all 4 USB slots on my ps3 occupied, but for things like the cam, that aren't typically plugged in and out continuously, I'd rather be able to hide it away behind...
Regardless, already have it reserved, and ...
Have we forgotten when they tried to bring street fighter into "3-d" back at PS2's launch? My God, what a horrible game...
Bring back Clover Studios, and I'll follow them to the end like a mindless groupie.
This actually might be more of an issue than some think. As they said; the mic and the drums use a USB port to connect to the PS3: that's 2. Each guitar uses the dongles to connect: another 1-2. Now, fortunately every PS3 released up to now has 4 USB ports right up front, but if I'm not mistaken, the new 40gig SKU won't; it's supposed to have only 2, I believe. So, unless this game allows you to use some sort of USB splitter...this could be an issue. I'd like to say they have a solution,...
I can not emphasize enough how bad an idea it is to come into a Sony thread and badmouth SotC. I can't say this for certain, but I think you may be the first person I've ever heard criticize the game. Developers like this are the reason WHY I play games in the first place. If it weren't for the Team Ico's and Quantic Dreams' of the industry, we'd have nothing that pushes the boundaries of the medium. How many games come out now-a-days that you can truly say are like NOTHING you've ever pl...
Still have my copy of Crash Team Racing (best cart racer ever). It'd be cool if they made online play.
But what has me excited? Bust A Groove. One of my favorite PS1 games ever.
It IS an issue for us PS3 owners though. We don't have a wireless guitar that we can use with the game, so we're stuck buying one one way or the other. I'm getting Rock Band, so it's very important to me if THEIR controller will work with GH3 when I get it down the line.
It's official.

I don't think I've seen any footage or interviews from the developers, and DEFINITELY haven't seen any new video, since E3 of 3006; they've basically gone dark. Hopefully, it just means they're working hard.
Think of the difference between Madden and ESPN NFL games. One has the name, the other has the gameplay, although with their newest release, the latter slipped up after a 3 year break. Madden would always sell more. Madden would have the noteriety. But ESPN NFL 2K5 was such a better game.

I think everyone was floored by the tech demo from 2 E3s ago. The only thing off was the lip-synching a little, but the devs said that was due to the recording means, and not the game's playback. Regardless, it's an issue I'm sure they can fix.
Sadly, you'll probably end up being right. I can't say that I know or understand why some games move systems and some don't. Ratchet and Uncharted SHOULD; they're great, gaming masterpieces (or at least, seem to be). But so were Okami, and SotC, and BG&E, and many others. I know I'm not the norm, in that I think the PS2 had the best library, but can't stand MGS, FF, GTA, or Turismo. Go figure. But those are the titles that put thet platform on the map, so obviously my trends aren't ...
