I agree with one of the commenters on Kotaku's site; if he had done a leap of faith, that would have been awesome.
Halfway through the second firefight, as I'm running for cover , but moving slower than usual, and bracing myself against cover instead of just leaning against it, it kind of dawned on me that he was really getting winded. And that was so cool :)
I really love the non-gaming animations though. Seeing a character flinch realistically in-game is just about one of the most amazing yet subtle things I can remember. And his facial expressions while he's under cover are just great...
Same here; I've got an external crammed full of anime. I'm getting by with TVersity so far, but it lacks the ability (at least for me) to fastworward past 1.5x, which turns out to be an issue more frequently than I'd have thought possible. Also, on rare occassions, a video isn't transcoded properly, where there's like a green afterimage shifted to the right or left.
You can also label your video files with an Album title, and then sort them by that, effectivelly making a playlist (although a less flexible system). New to me, unless it's a feature I just missed out on all this time.
I'm actually excited about the playlists, and it happens to be the one biggest feature I've wanted added since I got the console. The music side is more obvious, because scrolling through thousands of songs is a pain, regardless of how you organize them. But with photos, it's just as crucual. As of right now, you can only organize photos by the month they were taken. So, if I have all of my pictures from a convention on there, and then all of my pictures from a trip, and then a bunch of wa...
Jaffe, as part of a contract with Eat, Sleep, Play
Have they finally released those?!
I've let get, and it's well-worth the experience. Nerd-tastic is an understatement, but that matters little when it's so much fun. Just wish I had people online to play with; no one on my buddly list has gotten it yet :-(
I believe the reason so many PS users brought up docking Bioshock for being single-player only was not because they actually believed that such a thing is a negative for the game, but rather in defense of the many reviews circulating at the time blasting Warhawk and Heavenly Sword for being multi-player only and single-player only respectively. And most of the cajoling came from Xbox users claiming that every game should have multiplayer to either qualify as "next-gen" or to prove ...
Oh, it is. I absolutely love it. I've been playing every day since I bought it, and have been dragging people over left and right (all of us non-CCG players) to see it, with enthusiastic results. The strategy to the game that you come to appreciate keeps you coming back, and the computer is definitely a good training medium, cheater that it is.
I've only played two online matches, but both were enjoyable (got beat down the first one, won my second). I'm still trying to get ...
As a Hokie, that song is all the advertisement I need to get me to buy the game ;)
It's selling out, but not necessarily selling well. Due to manufacturing issues I think, the game came out late (finally got mine on Thursday; every store in our area got exactly 1 copy, and no booster/theme decks yet).
The game is so much fun though. I'd never played a CCG before, and so was a little daunted by the effort it might take to play, but the game is really logical and makes sense, and it's so much fun figuring out strategies or having some grand plan come to fruit...
I've been playing this game a lot, and am thoroughly enjoying the experience, even againts the computer. Playing online isn't as fun if you're talking to someone annoying though. But I love the game; worth every penny. When you actualy get to execute a strategy you've been gambling on and building towards, like, a 4 move hand; you just feel so friggin; cool. Or when you're hoping for this card or that card, and you actually get it. Happy dances all around ;-)
When playing online, you have to register your deck. So, however many cards it is you play with, you have to place them all in front of the camera first. The game recognizes and logs all of your cards, and thus, your playing deck is built. When playing online, the game then shuffles the deck itself and draws. It tells you what card to play next, basically. You then go through your deck, remove that card, and play it or discard it as you see fit. At least, this is what I've gathered from...
I'd use it. I love Netflix, and the Watch it Now feature's cool and all, but I have to use my pc monitor. Watching it on the tv is all the better. They, along with Unbox through my Tivo, already open up a wide realm of VOD content.
Out of ammo, out of ammo, need swarm missles or somethi-...AHHH, there they are! Alright! Yeah, don't think I'm not coming back for you, you son of a...got it! ...what's that? Ah shoot . . .
BOOM
If that's the case, then I'll patiently wait. If the peripherals down the road turn out to be interchangeable, then I'm gonna see what the cost effectiviness of getting Rock Band, GH3, and Singstar comes out to.
Seperating motion flight from motion gound-vehicles is the big one for me. It can sometimes get frusturating with the tank, when you're trying to aim to fire and keep sliding off your target because you're lying down and have the controller tilted just a lil' bit, resulting in you roatating the tank counter to the direction you're trying to go >_<
Yeah, I'm sure his and my reasons for stating so differ, but the outcome will likely be the same regardless. I try to address every new comment fresh, regardless of my perceptions of the speaker's potential baises or intent. Try being the operative word ;)
If you already have a 360, then you've had plenty of games to keep you busy in this time. I waited, and after 11 months, I have Fight Night, Resistance, Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, The Darkness, VF5, NBA Street:HC, Warhawk...
I agree whole-heartedly with the immersion aspect of the review. This is the second game that personally had me thinking in terms of "where do I need to go" instead of "where do I need to move the character." The only other game I can ever recall getting thoroughly immersed in is Indigo Prophecy.
