"Sony fanboys outnumber MS fanboys 10:1 on the Internet"
If true, why do you suppose that is?
Sooo.... the PS4 plus the new camera sold separately costs less than the Xbone... but Sony cut out the camera so that the console would cost less than the Xbone? Mm-kay.
False equivalency: look it up. Without going into specifics regarding each of the examples you provided, or the methods to mitigate them, it's still safe to say that equating any of those things to an infra-red facial/voice/biometric -recognition microphone/camera in your living room/bedroom is retarded.
Can you or anyone point me to some kind of gameplay footage for Sunset Overdrive? I see a lot of people talking about how awesome it is, but all I've found is a CGI trailer.
The trailer and all its "traversal" emphasis reminds me of Brink trailers. Personally, I really enjoyed Brink, but it really didn't do too well.
PS4 should be able to use any headset that worked with the PS3.
I'll probably be taking my PS4 on a plane at some point. But I also took my PS3 fat on business trips as well, and I managed all right with that beast. So yeah, I think the weights are just trivia used to pad out the list. Hey, those specific weights were the only two points I actually didn't already know.

@Dlacy13g: But again, a computer will still work if you remove the optical drive or the camera entirely.
"Its a part of system that any developer making a game KNOWS they can put the functionality into the game and it will be there for all not just a portion that decided to buy a camera."
There are a fair number of people that begrudgingly accept that the Kinect is bundled, but want to be able to unplug it. AGAIN: If it can be fully disabled, how i...
My best guess is that maybe the wifi card/antenna is in the Kinect. But why not just come out and say it? Though I guess some might consider that shifty engineering to *really* make the Kinect mandatory.
P.S. This is kinda odd... how come this pic has 9 plugs along the back: http://img.imgur.com/VFYTfm...
...but this one only has eight?

"Please tell me why almost all of your points relate to 'we know next to nothing about (Insert PS4 feature here)'"
Because people are saying "Xbox is better" without having anything to compare it to on the PS4's side.
BTW, I'm curious as to how maybe four out of ten equates to "almost all" of my points.

Most people don't set their consoles on top of their TVs.
"Well, the main problem there is that you or somebody you know broke it. It didn't fail from natural use or defect - it was broken by a person, accidentally or not."
What difference does that make? Good thing MS has such an exemplary record with their hardware, right?

@Dlacy13g: ...and yet your PC or console will still work if the optical drive breaks, so long as you're playing a game off the hard drive. Same with the camera. If these components malfunction, the system can still perform all the other operations that do not specifically necessitate the malfunctioning component. Not so with Kinnect. Pretty significant difference.
It seems like a pretty simple question that no one seems to be able to answer: If Kinnect can be completely ...
1) phone: is in my pocket, against my head (camera out), or face up (camera down) on a surface. Nor does it come with integrated facial/emotional/line-of-sight /physiological recognition capabilities. Also, my phone EULA doesn't specifically say that they can and will access the camera at their whim, like the current 360/Kinect EULA does

3) PC: does not have a camera

"The camera is 'better'"
-We know next to nothing about the new PS4 camera
"Xbox live is 'better'"
-We know next to nothing about the revamped PSN
"the controller is 'better'"
-Purely subjective at present / 99.999% of gamers haven't touched either new controller / the 0.001% that have seem pretty impressed with the DS4

"Real world" (aka "average") consumers don't buy more than one brand of console.
The Myth people say they changed the logo on advice of their legal counsel, but I'd really like to see the verbiage on EA's copyright for this. Just because someone sends a cease-and-desist, doesn't automatically mean there's a solid legal justification.
Maybe I should take out a copyright on the use of colors in logos, or the use of lines having a deviation of less than 10 degrees and greater than 15 degrees.
I know... I'll make a game ca...
It's not simply about "picking sides," it's about not supporting anti-consumer behavior, whether that be forced DRM, forced peripherals (that do also happen to be good for spyware, whether for marketing or government), cut-corner hardware, bait-and-switch marketing, moneyhatting timed exclusivity, nickel-and-dime proprietary peripherals, participation in questionable surveillance programs, or just a general sense of condescension toward their current and potential customers....
Vladec, serious question: do you think Mennonites are a possible threat to our country?
I'd say graphics take a back seat to convenience and price.
Anybody else have a digital copy of BF3 that can tell me how big it is?
My 500GB is starting going to need some new holes punched in its belt.
And how much will the shipping cost? (and how much more is it to receive it on launch day?)
And unfortunately, they now collect sales tax for California, so unless they can come up with an actual good "deal," I'll stick with my GameStop launch preorder.
