Here's something interesting to factor in...
"no consumer unit exists." -Mark Cerny, July 2013

"Now to this gen sony is killing MS in marketing and thats it."
If "sitting back and letting MS shoot its own feet into a pulp" is "killing MS in marketing," then I guess you're right (except for the "that's it" part).
Your funny and delusional what?
It does not "run on a Win8 kernel." The Win8 kernel is for apps. The gaming OS is separate. The hypervisor OS is the mediator between them.
"...no consumer unit exists."
Interesting.
"They are just sending the camera out to die."
But they're not sending it out for 3-4 months, with two major conventions to go before then. I expect there will be a major tech/function reveal for the camera before release.
Probably because everyone was upped to five bubbles for E3. What happened to yours?
Are MS and their Xbots refugees from a Chinese circus? ...because they seem to expect us to jump through a lot of hoops just to play video games without intrusion.
"It has nothing to do with marketing."
And bears don't **** in the woods.
"Don't break the law and you never have anything to worry about, and by breaking the law it would have to be something huge for the government to get involved, I am sure."
It never ceases to blow my mind that people are so naive. Or maybe just obtuse.

@Kanzes/Gman: "False equivalency." Look it up.
@The realness:
"this whole fiasco has been the most interesting thing to happen in gaming in a long time"
This. Who would have thought MS would give us so much entertainment value without even having to buy their products?
Here's a simple question: can you please name a general gaming site that you don't believe is just "a giant community of Sony supporters?"
Follow-up/secondary question: If you believe that so many sites are simply "giant communities of Sony supporters," can you offer a reasonable explanation as to why that might be? Why do you think MS supporters are so greatly outnumbered, especially among gaming site readers, who would generally be thought to be ...
@4logpc: Hm... is my PC capable of recognizing my face, recognizing my voice, analyzing anything said within a given radius, visually analyzing the human and/or inanimate contents of my living room, analyzing my comings and goings, analyzing my psysiological and emotional state, and feeding information on any of those things back to a central server?
Why the heck should I "trust you" when your comprehension of these issues is obviously sorely lacking?
@JOY: No, all those that are saying the same thing on forums.xbox.com. Some with 100k+ Gamerscore.
"or simply sit outside your nearest Starbuck to get the internet connection if it has to come down to that."
Right, with your generator and your TV.
So the game that's going to be completely ready at a most likely earlier launch is less complete than the game that they will need to keep working on right up until launch?
Interesting.
@Kanzes: The game doesn't work without the "free DLC." Isn't a working game supposed to be the compensation for the $60 you paid for it?
EULA =/= DRM
"The point of the one time connection is to add features."
If you consider the AI and other things "required ... to play the game" (Greenawalt's words) as "features."
Right... I would love to rewind five years and see what would happen if someone said that MS was aware of heat/RROD issues prior to the 360 launch.
I imagine many responses would go something like this: "Why are so many Sony fans conspiracy theorists?"
