Why don't you write a letter to the Guardian about their "paranoid fantasy?" And I'll take your baseless "hypocrite" charge and raise you a healthy helping of your own cognitive dissonance... on the one hand you say we should stop "pretending to be surprised," as if it's a given and should be expected, and then you go on to call it "paranoid fantasy." Doesn't quite mesh. And no, I never "pretended to be surprised," because I...

@darkride: Bully for you. I'm a cynical 33-year-old professional with two kids of my own that pays more attention to news and government than probably 95%+ of Americans, and my cynicism is totally justified.

Do you understand how bail works?

"not only that, every game on xbox one have dedicated servers."

This is an Xbot myth. Dedicated servers are only a potential use of the "cloud," if the dev/pub is willing to pay for it.

"Do we have so little faith in the justice system that we actually believe a kid can be locked up for one, simple off color post?"

Yes.

"One one hand you have police officers and members of the court, professionals there to keep us safe."

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHA.......

<deep breath>

...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

That's adorable.

Funny, only a child would fail to understand that in this day and age pretty much everyone is considered a "person of interest." These PRISM docs pretty much confirm that: they're spying on everyone by pretty much any means possible, and only a child (or an idiot) would willingly give them another means.

"Get over it."

Sad to see that you've "gotten over" your civil liberties. Some of us, however, have not.

At least we don't have any of the idiot comments (yet) about how if MS was "caught spying" how they would be sued or go to jail or whatever nonsense. Participants in these programs are granted legal immunity. That should be patently obvious, considering how much they *have* been caught spying via other means.

From the Guardian:
"• The company worked with the FBI this year to allow the NSA easier access via Prism to its cloud storage service SkyDrive...

Who says people can't be "mad" at both? But this is a gaming site, not a politics site.

You people are hilarious. You think that because you advertise your lives all over the web like little attention whores that everyone else does as well.

I don't use Facebook or any similar services.

I use http://www.StartPage.com for searches.

I'm diligent about controlling app access on my phone (which is an older BlackBerry) and my computers.

But hey, keep bend...

Right, because your address and credit card info (that the government already has anyway) is the same thing as a face-recognition camera and microphone planted smack dab in your livingroom/bedroom.

And please stop pretending like MS has never been hacked before.

>>Until Islamist extremists are wiped off the planet (I'm gonna say... never), we will live in perpetual fear, and thus, under perpetual surveillance.

Maybe if the US and other western nations (and their proxies) stopped funding, training, and equipping these "Islamist extremists," they'd dissipate more quickly. Besides, didn't you know? The the DHS claims that the real "terror threat" is American citizens and veterans that are dissatisfi...

Nah you just record the mo-cap animations somewhere in the menus and then it would be saved as your default victory taunt.

Can't tweet the devs just yet... gotta go file a patent first. ;)

I think I've bought enough stuff on Amazon to know that they do charge CA sales tax and shipping (especially release day shipping).

After watching the video, I think it would be cooler and more realistic if the OWL would fly out and attach the far end of the zipline and then come back to you, instead of the zipline pretty much just appearing out of thin air.

Sure, you can see the positives in both consoles, but if you're a thoughtful and objective gamer, you can also honestly weigh them against the negatives.

Already preordered, but these bonuses are kind of weak.

That gives me an idea for an actual entertaining use for Kinect (in an Xbone game) or potentially the new Eye: letting you mo-cap your own in-game victory dances.

Very similar to my setup... except I have a 24" TV next to my 56"DLP, and she watches on the 24". I bought a 56" HDTV for games before we moved in together, not to see Howie's pores on America's Got Talent.

"Consumers were uninformed?" Yeah, I guess I am uninformed, because I sure as hell don't remember any mention of trading or selling digital licenses.
