"That is a gross simplification. Since I have a server at home, does that qualify as a cloud?"

I'd say, yeah... kinda. Although maybe more like one of those tiny cartoon clouds that follows someone around.

For years I would email files to myself (uploading to the company email server) so I could access them anywhere. Now I'm being told by various companies that I can "access my files from anywhere, thanks to the power of the cloud!"...

Actually, they adjusted the ergonomics on the triggers, joysticks, and the overall controller, added a speaker and headphone jack, and light bar.

"40 innovations..." I believe they count the fact that the battery compartment is now flush with the controller as an "innovation." OOOOOOOOOHHH!

And a D-pad that isn't hot garbage: another "innovation." OOOOOOOOOHHH!

As others have said... please list these 40 inno...

As for all you that rattle on and on about how "MS/the government doesn't care what you do," all you're doing is illustrating and highlighting your own apathy and self-inflicted political impotence. If the government doesn't care what you do, then maybe you really are just a ...

Please stop projecting your own apathy and self-enforced insignificance onto the rest of the gaming world.

We'll just ignore that the current EULA for the 360 w/ Kinect admits that they collect data on you and reserve the right to spy on you.

How many articles have you posted this crap on to which it has absolutely no relevance? Reported as spam.

And how different is it from scratching your temple?

P.S. So where did you use Kinect v2? You tested the head-tapping nightvision feature?

4626d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

@manageri: That's one of the problems that keeps coming to mind for me... One of the demos shows the guy turning on night vision by tapping his temple with his finger. Forget about scratching your face while playing.

Yeah, I'm confused... how can they be "overlooked" when it's the standard litany of features that has been at the forefront of the MS marketing for the last month?

Almost like saying Blu-Ray was an "overlooked" feature on the PS3.

I'm more curious about a PS4/Vita bundle.

Bigger HDD would be nice, but by the time the 500GB (or 400GB that's left available) is full, it'll probably be cheaper to just upgrade the HDD yourself.

It is time to up my PS3 from a 500GB to a 1TB though. Damn you, PS+! (and my digital hoarding... hell, I still have SnakeBall installed. No, I don't want to download it later if I ever want to play again. ;P )

Where did he admit he was wrong?

Don't know which is worse... that he's implicitly taking some kind of credit for "flipping the switch," or that he's so glib about being shown up as being totally full of crap.

Right... that's why Late Night with Conan O'Brien was on TV five years before Fallon was even on SNL.

Yeah, I is confused. The reference for that in the article is a doc from SCEA.com, but I don't see an AV plug on the machine itself http://img.gawkerassets.com...

(this was a bummer to me... I actually use the AV output a lot)

They bent to the pre-order figures, not the "will of consumers" (well, just the will to pre-order the competition's merchandise).

I think the Vita will pick up momentum when the PS4 comes out. I'll probably get one for remote play, and I hope they have a well-priced bundle available day 1.

It's cute how people are acting like we should be comparing Live on the Xbone to PSN/PS+ on the PS3. Sony has already shown cross-game chat and a bunch of sharing/social functionality (none of which really appeals to me, but w/e) will be on the PS4. It's obviously a significant leap forward from the current bare-bones free PSN. The only leg up for MS right now appears to be Skype, and since you can get Skype on a Vita, it doesn't appear out of the realm of possibility on the PS4. ...

I love how the proposed "solution" is to make your entertainment center look like crap with Post-Its or towels draped over it or whatever.

Here's a better solution: let us unplug it.

Overpriced locked-down proprietary Apple products "anti-consumer?" Nah.

This guy should be happy they pulled the 180. If they had come clean and ended up saying that "family sharing" was really just "family demo," it just would have been another s**tstorm. "Family sharing" was what the DRM proponents were clinging to.

@dcbronco:

Thing is, in a sense the PS4 only needs to be released in one country, because it's not region-locked, so an imported PS4 and its games will work in any country. Multi-country release would obviously be preferred, but anyone that really wants one can get one and use it, and not worry that games they later buy locally won't work.

There is a PS3 piracy community out there, but it's orders of magnitude smaller than on the 360. It took them way longer to crack the PS3, and they can't go online (I don't think... they may have bypassed that), so at least there aren't modders/cheaters on the PSN.

The fact that the PS3's security took so much longer to crack than the 360's should be another reason to give pause to those dismissing concerns about the Xbone's always-connected spycam...
